- Well this was fun, A miserable day out in the rain and the King did not like it one bit. We still dont know why it was mucking about ...but it was. It didnt like the weather and nor did I . We will come back to this again once new parts turn up for the gun. What a shame . We will sort it !

Not an FX fanboy myself. Always had trouble with them. They take ages and constant fiddling to get them work. I expect guns costing that much to be bang on out of the box!!
I get what you are saying but must be honest they shoot really well when they are tuned. I also get that you would have thought they would work right away , however I guess it’s like a race car , you have to make it yours / make it work in what ever track you are racing , same with with what ever projectile you intend to shoot out of your FX? They are good once sorted . Just takes time ….. sometimes.

Even the Dreamlines are a pain. Got rid of two and went Air Arms - no probs at all and not even regulated.
I love air arms won't go past them lol have an s410 carbine had for atleast 16 years and it's my go to rifle still

I was recently in a 50-100 yard challenge against 2 FX Crowns, 2 FX Kings and 1 FX impact. The other 2 odd balls was my Daystate Safari and an Air Arms 510. The air arms won the 50 with .3. I won the 100 with .7. The impact came in second in both groups. The kings were at an inch at 50. Daystate guns don’t have to be fiddled with. Mine is straight out of the box and is 11-0! Air Arms are just as accurate but only to about 70 yards. Daystate guns will always win!!!!
You are spot on .i have a safari only use pellets it never lets me down .set on mid power 25.39 grn pellets fantastic

@@precisionairgunninghunting6265 it’s a 30 caliber and it shoots in wind consistently on target when you find the correct hold. It shoots 44.75 jSB at 880. It’s an ultimate pellet gun. I’m now looking for the ultimate , slug gun.
You need the new FX consistent temp box, you can tune it to the settings that work best for your guns regulator, temp, sun or dark and more can be adjusted, price not set yet, probably around a thousand €, rubberband not included...
Another great video Roger. Have to say my Impact MK2 V2 is 1 week off 4yrs old. Still running the same untouched AMP reg, never had creep & no leaks. Reg set to 149bar which i use for 25/30cal, when swapping calibres & projectiles (15+++ different) I only adjust the power wheel. Over the colder months the reg stayed 148-150bar. My current set-up being 30cal 44.5gr 1004fps stacking at 120yds in 12-15mph winds. One day I should take it to EBR, was good to see you there 😄
I would be a nervous wteck if it started to miss behave during a competion . No point in having a good race car if it not going to play to end 😊

Temperature has a big influence on pressure. In Australia where it reaches easily 47deg C in the summer reg pressure can change 15 bar from an air-conditioned vehicle cab to sitting in the sun . Super hard to get consistency in velocity. Pulled my hair out on many times .

It seems to me that the hammer spring setting was a little high from the sound. My FX King works better with higher reg pressure and less hammer tension, then the “ding” of the spring sounds differently. But this is my opinion and my own experience… Thanks for the honest video

Loved your brilliant presenting ,i agree that they all need a bit of work to get on tune ,i think the barrel system (fX) is a possible weak point !
I have also noticed on most occasions when shooting @ target ,it always starts great,then after a bit ,the accuracy goes all over ,not sure what causes this ,but is very normal !for me anyway !lol

So tomorrow I am shooting another video of the Safari .. it’s also a .25 and it’s the one that will be up against the FX King. We shall see . Maybe it will be a better video?? … we need more laughs I think … your thoughts ?
Spot on ,how you are presenting ,keeping it real ,no Hollywood effects needed in my opinion ,really like things as they are ,saying that i’ve only watch one vid ,but it feels real ,not smooth sales job ,but a honest users prospective ,it will be good if you can get to a conclusion / solve the mystery of accuracy ,i’ve tried still scratching me head !

I bent my valve, and had a leak, it's in shop getting fixed again. Hopefully it will be OK now 🙏. I've had my m3 for about a year and not had a problem. Guess that's the way it goes sometimes. Still a fx fan.
What you need Roger is a combined gas law calculator.lol.👍👍 Btw kings still out of stock fortunately for my plastic. Great video as usual.

I have also experienced reg changes with the AMP regulator with different temperatures. Seems to be a common thing with the FX regs. Funny how the Vulcan 3’s bigger regs has no issues with temperature changes.
I haven’t really been close a Vulcan . They do look ace and work well even with high power. We will sort his reg , maybe the AMP reg is not all that ? Who knows ?
I always add a drop of silicone oil to every 4 or 5th fill, helps to lubricate all the Orings, 4yrs with no leaks, no creep, even in winter the AMP doesn't change to the point POI changes 😁

I've had/have several FX and even now with the FX AMP reg update the FX regulators are the achilles heel. EVERY fx I have has been upgraded to a HUMA / HUMAs'. Every time the reg issues are cured.
I'm stuck in between with metric & imperial! I range in metres or miles!!! fps , grams for everything except ammo which I need to use grains. So I'm stuffed every way lmao.

I think fx have a major issue going on even from the comments here it only seems 1 in 10 people are happy, personally I think there’s barrel fitting/ harmonics issue as you won’t see an fx in American prs shooting that doesn’t have a barrel tuners on them, I say this as Ive seen fx’s great over the chrony with all sorts of different ammo but just won’t group and looking at the liners they look pathetic

@@TripleGRogerLait I was watching a vid on the air gun channel (USA)yesterday the pyramid air cup 2023 all fx had barrels tuners on, check the red Panda air rifle coming from sabre tactical if like the crown you don’t mind hauling a beast about. Rti / daystate/ epic/ AGS / kalibrgun are I think better options if you want high power, I think all all of the above have less orings than one crown, fx are the range rovers of the air gun world, cost to much/ great when they work but don’t sell your previous car (air rifle) because you’ll need it

The ballistic calculator is in metres there is a setting in the menu to change the LRF to yards its in the last section near the date and time

I have the king in .30 cal out of the box it was laser accurate I put a ATN X-site 4K 5-20 w/ ballistic laser on it shooting 50g slugs and it is amazing I did dial the velocity up from 900 to 980 fps. And the regulator to 150bar, Had it since February 2024 and every time I use it, it has held POI. I have 1” 2” and 3” spinners at 100 yds and it will drill the 1” no problem all day long, in fact it’s probably more accurate than I am.
My only complaint is I do wish it held more air, so when im shooting from the bench I usually have it tethered to a bottle. I can get about 120 shots out of it from this setup
So far I’ve hit bullseye on targets out to 200yds and taken squirrels and ducks out to 300yds across the lake. Although the ATN scope and range finder makes these shots very predictable

Fantastic. 120 shots with the reg at 150 bar? At 900 fps? I have it also in .30, reg 135 and definitely not 120 shots with the original bottle. But very accurate as you said.
Not saying the gun is bad or any other fx is bad but you are having what I experienced with several impacts , shoots great put it away then terrible get it out again and it works,

I would never buy one of these when there are so many better values in PCP airguns that provide acceptable ballistic performance. Ive now heard 2 or 3 different owners of FX talk about how annoying and finicky they are to keep them in optimal order.

It’s to expensive in todays market , only a fool would purchase it , besides the fx airguns can’t keep up with needed upgrades for all the other fx airgun that people in the USA have already purchased, the fact is that Jonathan has ripped fx off for 6 million dollars and now we can’t get parts for our airguns

Why not get a Gamo if your sub 12 doesnt matter if its a thousand pound + rifle. A cheap rifle shoots with same sub 12 power.
