- GM Vishnu Prasanna has been coaching D Gukesh since 2017, aiding him in various aspects of chess both on and off the board. He accompanied Gukesh to the Chennai Olympiad, where Gukesh excelled and earned a gold medal. In 2024, after Gukesh became the youngest player to win the Candidates and challenge for the World Championship, we visited Vishnu's academy in Chennai to discuss this achievement. Later, Vishnu also went to the airport to welcome Gukesh. Watch the interview!

Super nice interview ! ❤🙌
GM Vishnu's coaching played a pivotal role in Gukesh's historic victory🧡His insights and dedication truly shine through in this video. Kudos to both coach and player for their hard work and achievement🌟
His student surpassed him ,sad
@@DGen7Sad? Lol.
It's a Happy moment for every teacher/coach when his student surpasses him
GM Vishnu Prasanna's Chess Club will need more space! 😊
The coach has an uncanny resemblence to GM Arjun Erigasi😮
Even I got confused 😅
Opening words by Surya Ganguli! Nice interview
Congratulations GM Vishnu sir and WACA too for brilliant creator of chess genius Gukesh 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
He created a legend
Kudos to Vishnu of course (not sure if he was also a RB Ramesh student like Srinath Narayanan - different approach to Ramesh looks like) VERY deep! Liked it .... But @ChessBaseIndiaChannel - careful there with the questions - Ding, the 100-game streak guy - is watching! [Guy who beat MC famously, I think, in his ONLY tiebreak loss in Grand Chess Tour!] Try to find DING's weaknesses mannn... try to suss HIM out, okay - you know do some things like that Sagar, directly OR indirectly .... You can do a lot for India.....😉
100% agree gukesh is definitely not a favorite especially because we haven't seen what ding has been doing he might be doing just fine & just not using social media, meditating & practicing with engine. Even though he didn't play big tournaments he is 100% in it to win it. Infact thinking gukesh is fav would be too complacent to do.
Ps - also why does Vishnu looks just like a bigger Arjun?😂
Thanks to all the people who helped and supported the boys at the tournament.
hungratulation vishnu gm sir
Coach GM Vishnu OP!!!❤
I thought it's arjun erigasi
G M Vishnu Sir deserves Dronacharya Award....
This comment needs to be ponned
His idea of challenging the fundamentals is genius!
Will be a materiał with GM Gajewski? The other Gukesh trainer?;)
One carved a Diamond and other polished it. How can you compare? Both of them are pivotal to him in their own ways
@@_wakanda_forever true :-) it would be nice to hear also his perspective as they were working together closely on the Candidates tournament.
@@nienazwany4152 He was interviewed just after Gukesh won Candidates, Champ.... Do check it out, it was great listening to him too. Sagar Shah interviewed him in this channel.
There is a lengthy Gajewski interview uploaded already!
@@nienazwany4152 its already uploaded

This guy quit being god?
What does that mean?
He probably meant quit chess being good at it.
Tell him to stop hand feeding Gukesh! Tradition or not, it's nasty
?? Can you mention the context here
Be hygienic then...who cares about you
Common in India - just a welcome greeting. It's not nasty at all.
@@varunshah3445watch the Gukesh welcoming back in India video, there were like 1000 people crammed into a tight space and Vishnu was hand feeding Gukesh some type of cookie right in the middle among the masses
I understand in India its normal for family members or close friends to do this with youngsters, but please just do it somewhere in private, not at the airport while thousands of people are shaking hands, coughing and spreading the nastiest germs. Especially after a long trip and even longer tournament, kids' immune system gets seriously weakened by such strain on the body&mind.
