I love the “previously on Xmen” intro Dan, I’ve always wanted an animated Xmen Legends line, I’m hoping the Disney store get them as well as Hasbro Pulse to give us collectors more choice, Brandon has already put up that great meme with the photo frame as ACBA on his Instagram and it looks great! Such a great idea by Hasbro to include the VHS packaging aswell!
That’s pretty lazy to not sculpt the claw points on the gripping hands. It was almost perfect but of course they had to do something to not give it a perfect score.
It's the "kissing Batman faces" Wolverine head!
This is my favourite wolverine out of all marvel legends fingers. The skin is harder too find the right tone for different heads. I have all of the VHS series. Absolutely love this love letter from the 90s and obviously my favorite series of the X-Men they are what they are meant to be, pinned, retro, bright animated characters from the full series. They even got the heights right for each finger. Great review
The new cowl is an upgrade and it's great that he got an alternate head and his love triangle photo frame. Shame they didn't sculpt claw retractors on the gripping hands but overall I haven't hated the cell shading. I'm gonna get them all aren't I.
This head on the love triangle body is the perfect comic Jim Lee wolverine. Just need to wipe that orange-brown shading off the cowl, maybe some nail polish remover would work hmm

Bars! Hellfire Hank absconding with the portrait was absolutely HILARIOUS! Expected the chop down. Totally unprepared for what came after. Brilliant!
They could’ve given us an animated unmasked head too cmon hasbro
I just realized that wolverine's none claw hands are just a repaint of shang chi from the mr hyde baf wave so this is a sign of hasbro's laziness on not only making a new hands for the figure mate.
Cool fig, easy pass tho. I won't replace my figs every time Hasbro re-releases them. Good for the newcomers and completionists.

I personally don’t like having the cel shading because it makes the figures stand out from the rest of my Marvel Legends collection. I’m gonna buy this figure for the head, use nail polish remover to remove the cel shading, and then use the head with my Love Triangle Wolverine.
You took the words right out of my mouth. Don't like the cell shading and only want it for the new head sculpt. I'll need to fix the paint on it.

Your unique accent always cracks me up. Closed captioning says you're saying sound, but it's definitely saul or sow shading. And this is all coming from a place of love man. It's so true that England has a ridiculous amount of accents for such a small country. And most Americans just think there's two, the posh "Queen's English" and Cockney lol

Rich M's rendition of the theme song is dope! 🤣 I'm still on the fence with this line, I think seeing Jean and Cyclops will be what tips me into it as their looks from the comic ones could be better also I hope to see Morph and a more neutral Beast 😁

I'm not big on the cell shading. But this feels more like wolverine than the others. Best cowl yet but Hasbro has YET to make us a good looking logan head.
I think the one with the eye patch that came with the motorbike is probably the best unmasked Logan head.
They should've used the claws from the fox wolverine figures instead of what toy biz was using in the 00's
Yes, I'll buy two of these. One to have as is and one to take some acetone to those heads to get rid of the cell shading

The packaging of this line is great. The first 4 repaint are great. Their first 4 characters had decent accessories. And then they introduced Jean.
Im definitely collecting these!!! Im hoping for Magneto,Apocalypse,Cyclops,Gambit and Cable to be included! Is Wolverine,Jubilee and Mr.Sinister.
Greatly improved head sculpts. Heads of previous tiger stripe releases by Hasbro had ugly looking ears which were warped inwards and had to be modified using hot water to look presentable. This one nails the tiger stripe head look. It's now super accurate.

Ok now we need a cell shaded sabretooth with the omega red body.
I spent years collecting this particular X-Men team to resemble the cartoon, even buying some repaints of Gambit and Rogue and customizing Cyclops for the more cartoom-accurate colors. Damn it, Hasbro played me. I'd much rather have these cell shaded versions.
Beast is one of my favorite characters too!!! I’m hoping for him, along with Gambit and Rogue!

Disney + did some shady stuff with the X-Men animated series by removing several episodes messing up the entire season..
As an in-box collector it's annoying not to be able to see the figure. There's no slide-out tray like other only card packages do either.

This is my perfect version of Wolverine; the only 6 inch version of Wolverine I'll ever own as I've cut down my 6 inch figure collecting significantly.
Thank you Dan for the videos because you are great and this Wolverine is awesome and while it is awesome, I still might get the ''Astonishing Wolverine'' for my X-MEN display because he is Wolverine no matter what.

The head sculpt, shoulder pads and claws look better than the other two. Not interested in a cel-shaded version though. I want comic book versions. I'd gladly buy a fixed comic style version of this though.
Great review! I recently decided to start building an Xmen display, and I was initially very bummed that these came with the cell shading. Realistically though, I think there’s enough pros to outweigh the cons. We’ll see if I decide to attempt removing the shading or not. My display will be half Mafex anyway, since I couldn’t resist upgrading for the Mafex Storm, so once they’re all posed up I don’t think it’ll be too bad.

Still wish NECA could make X-men TAS figures. Would be lots of fun to see 2 packs (Xavier/Magneto, Gambit/Rogue, Jean/Cyclops, Jubilee/Wolverine, Beast/Storm) with a ton of accessories. These Legends are just okay…
the cell shading is hit or miss depending on the application but its definitely the attention to detail Marvel Legends has been missing on every single figure for years
I guess I'd have better luck finding this in a comic book store?
Hate the flimsy rubber-like claws. Wish they could pop off like the older legends wolverine so I could upgrade them with claws from “can of beams.” Bah!
The Pins in 2022 … I’ll skip ⏭ it for sure, love triangle wolverine is my favourite!
Its only a matter of time before we have to re-buy all our figures again with no pins lol

Pretty cheap packaging come up but I actually like the cardboard insert with the figure and stuff plastic parrot reminds me of those cheap canner mask toys. Lol But less waste I guess, less plastic, probably cheaper for them of course

I don't care for the cel shading but it looks good on this fig.
Not having any of the Tiger Stripe Wolvies, I'd concider getting this and using acetone to remove most of the cell shading.
Shame he doesn't have any retracted claw fists.
the only thing i like in this figure is the shoulder pads.
Shoulder pads like a womens business suit from the 80s.

I’m new to the hobby and I’m just waiting for them to release a new classic wolverine. He’s my favorite marvel character but I’m to much of a tight wad to spend extra on an older figure
I think you can buy this for your classic wolverine if you are a fan of the yellow/black, this is one of the best Marvel Legends wolverines, maybe the best
See this is why Marvel Legends is SUPERIOR to Dragon Stars AND Figuarts. Ab crunches at THE DAMN ABS, NOT AT THE PECS! Hasbro will ALWAYS be superior to Bandai SERIOUSLY💯
What I want to see is for them to take the same idea for Spider-Man. And release a Spider-Man series based on the animated Series with the head scope of the animated Series Peter Parker for that Spider-Man
I’m ok with this animated line, but I feel like it only puts us farther away from more X-Men retro cards. My dream Wolverine is essentially these colors but with the regular claws, obviously no cell shading and on the retro card. Same thing with Cyclops, a Jim Lee Cyc on a classic card would be a dream come true. But he’s inevitably going to come in this line just like the rest of the main team.
Just got the Jubilee in this line and I was so underwhelmed that I canceled all the other 90s Animated X Men figures. Not worth the money.

If only he didn't have the shading he could be my perfect 616 wolverine and I know it's for meme but instead of picture I would want his cigar if he must hold something in his hands that must be cigar 😆and unmasked Logan head would be cool too.
I don't care about the cel shading but the skin tone in the heads look kinda different from the one in the arms. There's something about the way those heads are painted that looks sloppy to me.

I love this figure except for the cell shading. When/if they release it without I’ll be picking up for sure.
They couldn't even be bothered to have the claw retractors on the alternate hands or extend the cell shading, or their poor attempt at it, on the back and they charge more for this? Hey lets take some hands from a different figure, paint them blue and call it a day. It's like the Marvel team went from putting in minimal effort to now putting in no effort.

Big X-Men TAS fan. It's a cool Wolverine but don't think it's enough to draw me in for the extra $5 and that they couldn't put the claw holes on gripping hands to complete it. I'm more interested in the new Bonebreaker wave Wolverine for the new look. I have the original releases of this line so far as well and happy with them. It's good for people who missed original releases though. Still hoping for something from it I don't have or can't live without (Magneto, Sabretooth, Apocalypse cell shaded would be amazing).
