These guys are still playing and the vocalist still sounds insanely good live along with the band. Shame they never got the fame and love they deserved.
You'll be glad to know that Darkest Hour were around long before BFMV and Miss May I. This was their 4th album, in 2005. We had a whole era of DH before this record.
This was the album that I got into DH with, about the time it came out. Amazing album. Heads up to the guy who runs this channel, they just released a new single from their forthcoming album. Song (and album) is called perpetual terminal. Check it out, it’s good! Some other stand out tracks from this particular album are convalescence and with a thousand words to say but one.
I was 4yrs old when this song came out in '05 but I still remember my cousins playing this song in their garage, it really does bring back memories RIP Jose, I miss you primo thank you for sneaking me into my first hardcore, ska and metalcore shows when I was 11 I go hard in the pit at hardcore shows now because of you
I've loved DH since the mid-00s.theyve always had a knack for finding super-catchy melodies mixed in with the heaviness...and the call on Tunguska is outstanding. Great song amongst many great songs. This one is outstanding as well. Keep it up... My suggestion? Try some more Suidakra...especially Isle of Skye or Shattering Swords. It's a mix of epic metal & traditional Celtics music. Seriously, they got freaking BAGPIPES in some of their songs. Another band like that is Eluveitie, & they feature all kinds of Celtic instruments. Tegernako is an amazing song of theirs...so heavy but with crazy Celtic instrumentation. If you haven't heard them before, it'll open up a new world of metal for you, i promise.
These guys are the OGs of metalcore fr. You gotta hear Demons or Tunguska. They've been around for years just dropping amazing albums
That album is a 10/10, last song Tranquil is insanely good!
tranquil is the best

Darkest Hour was my teenage years, man. This album especially holds a special place in my heart. And Deliver us
Guarantee that DH influenced miss may I and bullet. Goats
If you like this song you HAVE to listen to "With A Thousand Words to Say But One" and "Doomsayer!"
Check out Convalescence next. This whole album is sick though.
