    Great stuff guys. I fish and do metal detecting. The polyester is perfect for me. I wouldn't wear anything else if I didn't have to. I came here to see if I could custom make my own shirts. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Thanks a lot for this video! I have been searching for weeks on a proper tutorial. I'm just starting out as a beginner, and I originally wasn't sure if the all-over-print needed to be printed on a fabric first and then sewed to create a shirt, or if the design could just be printed directly on a pre-maid tee.

    All the 21Ms I ever get are dull dingy almost. I find the Gildan performance to be softer and always a bright white. Sublivive is nice too. Ideal almost. They just crease up really bad. I do love the blackout tee. I sell a lot of them.

    If you have a hard template (made of poster board or even super thin wood) to put inside the shirt, that will stretch the shirt enough to avoid those wrinkles on the sleeves and shoulder areas. It will also prevent the print from being subbed onto the inside of the shirt through the neckhole. The downside is you'll need one of these hard templates for each size of shirt you sub onto. And you'll have to find a way to deal with the ink that subs onto the template through the shirt fabric (you may be able to coat or cover the hard template with a silicone cover that can be wiped clean after each press session).

    • @nomadgical
      @nomadgical Před rokem

      The cool thing about dye sub is that the ink doesn't bleed through. Great idea to use a hard template!

    Hey Dannesh, enjoying your videos especially the one where you travelled to China to meet your suppliers, something I plan to do when my biz grows large enough for huge orders. BUT anyway about this video, at 12:40 you are laying the design over the blackout t-shirt and the design appears to go over the round collar so the question is why did the design not get printed on the collar?
    and what brand is the knockout shirt? i don't think any of the blank apparel suppliers i deal with have that style of shirt.
    thanks!

    • @SilkySocks
      @SilkySocks  Před 4 lety +2

      Jerry Simpson hey Jerry, glad you like the videos and the content! So the blackout shirt is by Sublivie, model #1902. And the collar is black. That’s why it won’t show up on black. Sublimation print will only show up on 100% polyester white fabric and some light colors and blends. But never on black.

    • @jerrysimpson4018
      @jerrysimpson4018 Před 4 lety +1

    • @SilkySocks
      @SilkySocks  Před 4 lety +1

      Jerry Simpson to avoid some of the sort of tint the ink leaves. You can hardly see it on black. But putting that cardboard over the sleeves just protect the sleeves from that altogether. A cardboard in the neck area is also a good idea. Both optional

    Bro you say we need at least a 44 inch wide printer but your image of the Jordan print does not cover the entire span of the page. Still about 12-15 inches of page on the left unused. So basically a 30 inch wide printer should be sufficient because you can always turn the image vertical to print the longest length.
