Thank the good Lord that he was able, through hard work and sacrifice, to be a father, husband, son, friend, and teacher to thousands!!! I never met you Charlie. But I know you through your writings and videos! Thank you sir!!!!! I’ll be talking to you in the fall woods , through mind and spirit!!!! God bless!!!!

    I was working in my yard last week when I heard a strange kind of scream. I looked up and there was a doe about 30 feet from me, with a couple fawns in the back farther away. I was by some hosta plants that the deer have been eating and the doe was definitely trying to warn me away by continuing these vocalizations and stamping her feet. It was a bit unnerving but I thought retreating may set a poor precedence. The whitetails where I live are getting way too comfortable around people.

    How or what do does communicate to the fawn when she wants to the fawn to bed down and stop following her?

    Not all bucks are the same....bingo.
    I use buck urine with a single grunt....semi long grunt in prerut.
    In rut I use a tending grunt with a 50/50 mix of buck urine and estrus....the tending grunt I use is 2 long and two short grunt in series.
    The thing I found is bucks are not picky, especially if they smell another deer.

    What about coughs, I don't here much talk about buck coughs

    • @DDHONLINE
      @DDHONLINE  Před 4 lety

      Coughs are typically associated with botfly infestations in the sinus cavities. Pretty nasty little critters. Here's a video on how they infest the whitetail: czcams.com/video/FrhuRRfu-uY/video.html
