Hi. As you were speaking about practical ways to learning german, i would also like to add that Spotify has lots of german podcasts. I would highly recommend this for students of b2 c1 and c2 level. I have cleared the c1 Goethe exam with the help of podcasts. I had listened to (even now) easy with German podcast, deutsch podcast and deutsche im alltag. This has definitely helped me to get a hang on how native germans speak. Most of the germans speak very fast and sometimes a lot of colloquial words also comes in. I found it really hard even though i had c1 when i came to Germany. But after hearing the oodcast it helped me to quickly grasp and rpcess the information. I had taught A1 A2 level german to some students. For them i recommend deutschewelle - but its easy if they can watch it with transcripts. For b2 and above I would highly recommend the abive mentioned podcast series. After all at the end of the daybwhat intrests you most that counts. Podcasts are not for all. For some it may be movies while others it may be you tube. So experiment a little and try to find iut what suits you best. This is from my experience.
For the grammar part i always checked on few websites and practiced exercises from there. Grammar is very important, exam point of view, especially at b1 level onwards. I used to practice exercises from Arbeitsbuch also (Netzwerk,sicher).
