- Today we are installing the welded wire fencing around our vegetable garden. We are using a pneumatic narrow crown stapler to install fasten the fence to the posts.

We live in southeastern Illinois on a 41 acres homestead. We just finished building our log cabin overlooking our pond. We are trying to grow our own food and raise livestock. Follow us on our journey living the rural life and developing our property and becoming more self sufficient.
As a retired builder, your garden and garden fence looks great. You and your wife did an excellent job. I appreciate your sharing and your deliberate diligence to plan. Blessings on succeeding to being as self sufficient as possible...☝🙏💪👉...
What a beautiful job on the fencing . I think the dogs are more of a problem than the wildlife . LOL .
That music never gets old and goes great in these videos
you got a great lady do all you can to keep her happy!!
Your garden fence has turned out great. 2 puppies at the same time is definitely a challenge, but well worth the effort.
I really like this. This looks like what I need for my yard. Fencing in gardens is probably going to be a big need in the next coming months. Thanks for sharing your concept. Love it.
Good job on the fencing. I have the same fencing around my property and have discovered that rabbits will go right through the 2" opening. You will need put some fencing with a tighter weave about 24" all around the bottom to keep the rabbits out. I had to put rabbit fencing, 24" all around my property to keep them out. I just put it on right over the 2"x4" wire I had already put up all around the bottom.
Great job Evan! Have a wonderful week! GOD BLESS!
Looks great Evan!!! Definitely envious of that enclosure... And the nice thing is at the end of the season You can lock the goats and chickens in there to clean up from the post harvest
Love to watch you grow! You are both amazing and thank you for what you're giving everyone!
Mate, try oiling the staples with old oil to preserve them. It will also help protect the fence. 🇦🇺
Garden fence looks fantastic! Love the step-down.
Fantastic job. You two do such a great job at bringing your dreams to reality!
Love seeing what folks do in/with their gardens. Hope you'll share the garden's progress over the Summer.
Great garden space. Be proud of that project, for sure!
Garden looks well prepped and I think you are going to have a wonderful harvest. Stay well and safe, both of you.

Fence looks great. Nice job. Love the pocket holes. Very strong.
That's a solid (and easy) fence method. Thise pocket screw are no joke!
You fence looks good to me. You both did a good job. Even when you look at corner of the fence back towards the house the fence blends in nicely with the house.
My wife and I love your garden. It is a fantastic set up.
I came across your channel a few weeks ago and managed to watch 90% of your videos. It gives this almost 60 year old hope in fulling my country life style living. Thanks

Your place is gorgeous and you building videos have helped me so much. 55 year old woman here doing this myself.
looks really good, and when you find galvanized staples post them up as I would like to have some myself.

I feel for you bro!!!!! I’ve got a 6 month old puppy. His name is Eli and he’s a miniature wire haired dachshund and teething like crazy. He has a basket of toys and shoes and a couple of sticks. And that’s all. I was supposed to get another one a month after him but she didn’t wire out. I’ll put it this way, I’m glad I ended up with just one for now
Nice job it looks great
Really looks nice.

Next video is gonna show two perfectly dug tunnels the dogs created to get in by...:)
Nice job
Good job Evan.
Looks great! Your whole homestead is beautiful!
home depot sells the galvanized staples for your gun 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" both 1/4" crown , you might be able to put a double slide type barn door gate on the fence, just a thought
vaeagle1 they sure do! www.homedepot.com/p/Grip-Rite-1-1-4-in-x-1-4-in-18-Gauge-Galvanized-Narrow-Staples-5-000-Count-GRL15/204716817
Securing the bottom of sliding doors is a challenge, especially with no center post or ground plate
Puppies..... it’s a good thing they are cute otherwise they would be hard to keep to being a well trained adult. They will get better Australian shepherds are extremely trainable they just are so smart they get bored and find all the trouble to get in. Good luck and happy gardening!!!
Happy to see you wearing safety glasses . I can't count on bother hands how many nails screws staples I have seen come through the ER where I work ! Many times resulting in a lost eye ! That being said love the fence and your çabin !
Nice job, Evan
Great job! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Good job on the fence.
Very nice!
Very cool video
Looks great
Good job!
I pinned my windows on the outside (new trim &new windows) so I used stainless steel, might think about that if they sell them? That sure is a nice fence around your garden you did a really good job...thanks for all your cool videos
P.s fence looking great 🙂
Great job, I am going to do the same. Thanks!
Really fun watching you guys achieve your goals. On the dog thing, yeah, every breed has it’s pros and cons. ‘Cep for those slobbery giant marmaduke ones they’re all cons lol. Our Bichon Frises are so cute and cuddly and fun but they bark incessantly! Never thought I could love a little white “yapper dog” but I do. Teaching you tolerance!!
Looks good
JudithB The fence looks great! I plan to build hoops for 2 of my new beds but I will put netting on first for summer use, putting plastic or cloth on for winter. I want to be able to turn my chickens in during winter to clean weeds n bugs out, but still be able to protect winter crops too! My dogs learned pretty fast to stay out of my gardens, but biggest problem is deer, so my fences are 7'.
Good day Sir, i'm also making a garden 👍 and yes need like you a good fence against my Golden Retriever and wild life !!! 😂Great looking garden Cheers and keep up the good works !!!👍
Well you did a great job there, you little cutie.
looks good
Looks good! LOL I thought that bird was real at first. Fooled me, must need another cup of coffee? Thanks for sharing. Angel from The Bay
Like the use of the Kreg jig
Very good👏👏👏👍👍👍 muito bom mesmo!!!
My chocolate lab ate my entire back yard, including deck and plantings. Oh, and my watch I left on the patio table🐶🐶🐶
@Pat Wanner, and it lived long enough to eat the watch?
Love your place and you did a great job on the fencing. Have you thought of maybe putting some kind of netting over the top to prevent scavaging from the birds ?
