    So happy that I found your CZcams channel. I'm a retired gal and have only recently taken up drawing. I'm at a point in which I would like to draw plein air since I so enjoy wondering the mountains near my home. Not wanting to 'reinvent the wheel' I've have taken to researching what those before me use outside of their home studios. Thank you so much for sharing a part of your own journey with us.💕

    I use a slightly larger Fjällräven cross-body bag I bought when I was in Stockholm. I actually took my 5.5" X 8.5" sketchbook into the Fjällräven store to find the bag that it would fit into. When I got home I found I could get the exact same bag on their website a lot cheaper. It fits my sketchbook, Holbein Palm Box, an 8 oz square Nalgene Bottle, and water pot.

    I really love your travel art supplies. Everything is well thought out and the pace of the video was great. Not too fast. I love supply details. I take my time purchasing what I need and love to research before I buy. Plus good supplies cost a lot so it suits me to be intentional and only buy what I need. I enjoyed your content. Will pop over to your channel and check out some of your art videos. Your larger cross body bag looks really comfortable. And I love the little blue Fjallraven bag too. So many yummy things. TFS. I have the princeton Neptune too and its great for washes but I find the tips difficult for detailing. The escoda Versatil travel brush in a small size (4?6?) is a good addition for that.

    People normally admire artists, so I don't worry too much about being seen. At the same time, I don't like areas or parks that are too "peopley." I like chatting, but peopley is avoided. PS: My water containers are almost always green - water and stain - mostly from Sap Green.

    Those big Nalgene water bottles can be clipped into the outside of a bag with a carabinder if you need more space for something else.

    I love that small kanken (i call them kankens i dont know if this is correct at all) bag for daily use as a purse. I can fit like 5 (I haven't put more in) different chapsticks/lipglosses in the small front pocket and the bag doesnt buldge or even look like theres anything in it. My phone, wallet, random receipts all fit in the main pocket and yet again it does not look like theres anything in the bag! I put a pandora bracelet box in it and it zippered (although you could definetly tell something was in it. My inly complaint is that the material started to turn white/fuzzy. Ive tried taking it off with lint rollers and tape. That didn't work and I'm not sure how to get rid of this. The white fuzz is noticeable on my bag because its a dark green so it kind of irritates me.

    • @jdodington
      @jdodington  Před 5 měsíci

      Huh. Crazy about the white fuzz, maybe I haven’t experienced that yet because my bag is lighter in color. Good to know… thanks for your thoughts!

      @@debradavisfineart Ohhh, yes unfortunately when I looked online I didn't see my bag either. I've had it for years. They seem to continuously change the styles they offer. My mom has a different crossbody to mine and finds it really useful. Mine might be a "hobo" - those styles look closer to mine in that they are large and hold a lot. I bought mine at a Ross. I also saw one recently at a Tuesday Morning store. So, it is possible to find them discounted at places like these. I thnk they were $30 or $40ish rather than $100.

    • @jdodington

      It is the TWISBI Eco. It holds so much ink you can write with it often and it doesn't run out nearly as often as the Lamy does.
