  • Making MPC Drum Synth Samples
I need some "generic" drum sounds for a BIG project that I'm working on, which should be out by the end of the year. Since I love the MPC's Drum Synth so much, I figured it would be fun to show how to resample an internal MPC plugin into a sample, then save that sample to the SD card. Unfortunately, you still can't normalize and then immediately save the sample, so that will have to be done later, but the initial sample and save process is simple and easy! Enjoy the video :)

You can say ‘keep’ to keep the sample….that puts it in memory without storing it to the SD or putting it in a program. Then you can go MENU and then SAMPLE EDIT and scroll through the sample to process them. I think its time I did a video on how to sample a drum kit on an MPC as its something I do all the time.

I just want there to be a save sample button in the sample editor 😂, it seems so simple!

The whole thing was pointless. Just use the drum synth.

@@LeekowalskiWalker not actually…you only get 8 plug-in slots on the MPC so converting one to samples can make sense. CPU cycles are not an infinite resource.

That didn’t happen. What video were you watching?
Plus, he's made about 5 videos crying about this same thing. He doesn't even use the mpc, like so many CZcamsrs he just makes videos to fill a schedule.

Excellent! I’m definitely going to be watching this video again later👍🏼

Nice video but it is not about the MPC, it is just another teaser for something you do not want to tell us yet lol.
    No really this was fun.

I mean this was definitely about the MPC lol. Thanks as always!

Nice video. You can save your samples afterwards. It works much faster then save all the samples individually.

Yeah, I just don't like saving to projects like that first haha.

I recommend a usb QWERTY for these sessions. I’d save these samples as a drum program, then in a folder/sd when done, that might save a few minutes and you’ll have the file/folder to share

Freebeat, do you think you can show us your magic on a Donner B-1? Reason is because it is a tangible easy to use hardware (not an app) that got the ingredient for sound design under the budget price of less than $190. It is a next level for people who is graduating from Pocket Operators.

I don't have one and don't really plan on buying one, so probably not. However there seem to be some wonderful tutorials out there already! I do have a lot of content on the Volca Keys, and the Volca Drum, which are also both popular first steps after Pocket Operators :)

@@FreeBeat That's why I mentioned "YOUR MAGIC", your videos are concise practical, and easy to follow; plus your melodies are fun. Saw your Volca Keys/Drums, I also saw the other contents/tutorials on B1 before I wrote the last message. They may have great tunes, or opinions, but they don't do concise tune-making walkthroughs like you do. It is my compliment to you :-)

Hello... I use Musescore and Logic and I would like to buy a system independent of the computer. Which do you think is easier to use, for a beginner, MPC One, Roland Verselab MV-1 or Maschine +? Thank you very much in advance.

Make sure you put in some proper research before spending all that money or atleast try some before you buy at like a guitar center and see what works best with you flow in creating
