One thing i learned from playing TCG's. Watch whats coming in later sets. Watch the Japanese Meta. if you see something is being played there becose of a set that will be coming out here soon. you can Pick up cards that will go up in price in a few months for super cheap.

Yes! Don’t buy singles immediately after release! I’ve seen people spend $300 on a card only for it to go for like $40 a couple weeks later 💀

Play in real life tournaments folks, online isn’t the same at all. Play the meta, and play real people in front of you, it helps you get better where Pokémon live doesn’t help you, reading opponent etc.
My local store charges $12 for entry but you win $10 for each round won and $5 for tied rounds. My locals is 4-5 rounds, so you can leave with a lot more than you paid to go.

Seconded! Playing in person changes things so much!

A few things I would add are to test online, attend prerelease if you can, and asking for help. Some people get intimidated by the players

Game is too easy. I learned on the app and I realized it is too dependent on luck.

Have you played in person? It’s such a different ball game in my opinion. Pokémon is definitely easy to pick up. I appreciate the low cost to get into the competitive scene too.

Yeah that’s the reason why I wanted to play in person to get more experience and because competitive decks are just way cheaper than mtg

A lot of Yugioh players are making the switch too! I hear both the meta and cost is a bit ridiculous.

@@Julnlecs86 I think I have to disagree with the dependent on luck statement, no offense. You still need proper decision making and strategy on how to play around with the opponents deck and how to increase the chances of you getting the cards that you need to win the game in certain situations.
