OK--I have to admit...I've never really though much about succulents until I started watching your channel. This has made me want to learn and try it out. It is a great way to focus on the inside during winter months. (Especially like the ric-rac plant!) 😬But these names--it's like pronouncing bible names in Sunday school class! Thanks for opening up this world to us!

Last year was my first time actually caring about gardens and my front yard. I MUST SAY LAURA YOU CHANGE MY LIFE COMPLETELY . i went from a empty, dry and death front yard to a full landscape design created by me. i have sooo many plants,bulbs, perennials, etc. and now this video got my new succulents order. ALL THIS WITHIN A YEAR . i literary wake up every morning grab my coffee watch your morning video and start my day with great inspiration and motivation..

It's been at least 2 years from your last unboxing. I bought a bunch of stuff from them when you did it. Some are thriving. I killed about half but they were not expensive and was a wonderful way to cut my teeth on a first time experience with succulents. They were packaged so well.

LOVE Mountain Crest Gardens because of you. You’ve done a few unboxing in the last 2 years because I started purchasing from them based on a video. I thought watching this video would be dangerous to my wallet. They had great living ornaments with hens and chicks that I gave as a party favor and they were a hit. I was glad to see what you unpacked and their different cuttings. From watching you, I know what to do with them. As always, a great video to watch my lunch to!
I don't look at house plants very often so it is nice to be able to sit and enjoy you going through all these plants i otherwise wouldn't see. Very nice of them to send you so many.☺
I had a long day going to the Dr out of town. Laura's enthusiasm with this unboxing was full of positive energy I needed right now. Excellent camera work Aaron always. I was thrilled about the variety of cactus but Laura's enthusiasm was worth watching also.
What an awesome video. Your enthusiasm for the new succulents is CONTAGIOUS! MCG has always been my 'Go-To' for really healthy succulents and they always arrive both timely and in excellent shape. Since I started growing/propagating/enjoying succulents over the last 2 year, I've now got my grand-children growing their own and give LOTS to friends and neighbors. We just received 40cm of snow here in Southern Ontario, Canada. I’m sitting here with a coffee by the fireplace watching my favourite gal bring me some plant Joy. I’m new to succulents with not that much success. Some of mine will grow tall and get leggy, why does that happen? Thank you, love your channel - Lori
Searching for light!
Hello neighbour, I’m in southern Ontario as well and I’m just learning how to better care for my succulents. I have a great sunroom addition with south facing floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows that bring in way brighter light than any home I’ve ever lived in (to the point where it burns the leaves of many tropicals, I’ve had to move them all back) and I STILL get leggy echeveria. They still reach for even more sun.
I think without a grow light set up, it’s tough in our neck of the woods, unfortunately. Although I’m sure there are better succulent parents than me who can offer advice.
@@persephonespomegranate as far as I understood the succulents from watching Laura (I'm not an expert) it's the way they are and you just have to cut them back to get the tight plant. You can use the cuttings to root them. I guess they require the maintenance in that way.

I did a Mountain Crest succulent of the month subscription for a while. It was so much fun getting a box every month and seeing what was inside. Everything was always healthy and happy when it arrived. They sent you some very special plants.
I never knew there were so many different succulents! Goodness, those are some pretty ones! I have a very narrow window sill above my kitchen sink that faces south, I think I might try some…just have to find the right container for them. Thank you Laura for inspiring me to try something new!

Succulents are definitely not my thing. Sometimes when i'm at a plant shop, while holding 2-3 plants that i don't need and don't have room for, i sometimes think "at least i don't like succulents". But seeing your enthusiasm while talking about them gave me a new perspective of these interesting plants. And especially after seeing the plug tray, i might have a spot or two for some succulents... 😬

Wow. I've purchased from Mt Crest because of your last video (last year) and they arrived in beautiful condition. Not all growers take such care of their plants or how the are packaged for shipping. BTW- cotelydon is pronounced cot-a-lee-done. I love the variety of this species.
I am not a huge succulent fan but I have to admit that the variety of textures and colors and shapes are pretty amazing!

When you mentioned the little succulents that can be grown outside I instantly had a picture of the big area on the new area just at the end of your lane closest to the house were you said you might put a water feature. I saw a big rocks in the water feature and those succulents nestled around the rocks. Of course what do I know, this is not my line of work at all! And in fact last summer was the first time I ever had plants on my patio and that is because of you. I only killed one plant and I overwatered it to the point it was swimming before I realized it. I just dumped it out at the edge of the patio soil and all and I see now that it is growing in that heap where I just dumped it. Maybe it will have flowers in a few months. What a surprising adventure.

Cool unboxing - I can't wait to see what you do with them. We had a snow and ice storm last weekend with a warm day prior so I went to Home Depot (ours has wonderful succulents), picked up a bunch, and had a winter project the next day 😄

Fyi: if u order from mountain crest and live in the midwest wheres its cold u have to buy heat packs separately they are not included. I ordered some plants which sadly were dead when i received them. Other places like bloomscape include heat packs with their orders no extra charge.
