The flooring and the layout are great. I thought reclaimed wood on the ceiling sounded like a good idea, but it does not look well -- it breaks up the expanse and looks piecemeal. I often think that island stools close to dining room chairs give a furniture showroom vibe, and this is a case in point.
Agreed. Alot of the staging was off also. Too much going on in such a small space. Smaller "to scale" furniture would have been a better choice along with bench seating for dining table. These two fixes would have cleaned up the eyes sightlines
Sorry but the staging is so tacky and mix matched. What's with those multiple colors? The purpose of staging is to accentuate the design of the house, not become the garish focal point.
Agreed, I feel like they consistently have awful design in the staging and takes away from all the work they put into the house. So cheap and ugly looking every time

Christina sneers her nose up at everything. Tarik is the money man. They wouldn’t make any money if Tarek let her spend whatever she wanted. Christina doesn’t care about what they spend, but she’s always holding her hand out to get her share.
Yes...She does turn her nose up. She's always making fun of him n his clothes unless it's scripted. I hate how she reacts to the filthy condition everytime. Is she expecting a new Reno house the first time she walk in.

I do not like the make believe disagreements between the two. They have the same vision, the plot is clear. Rather focus on the house, that is what we want to see. For drama, we watch mini series. Once again Cristina's design paid off. Tarik should know this by now.
He obviously wanted the same thing. He knows what sells. It took him less than 30 seconds to change his mind.
I don't think these are make believe disagreements. This is after they split up and he never likes spending more money than necessary.
It isn't "scripted" arguing-trust me, it's REAL! That's why they're divorced! I'm surprised they continue to work together and continue the series!!
He should NEVER have let her work with him AGAIN!! When she first threw her tantruma ,he should have kicked her to the curb!!!She is a money spending loser. She couldn't handle a real man. The other guys figures out she was a joke.

It would be great to donate some of the fixtures to Habitat for Humanity rather than destroying or tossing them. Better for the earth and better for other people. Think about it!

I love watching their show together. Tarik has to have it his way or he gets stressed out. Christina is chilled all the time. It's Tarik way or the highway. Sometimes he will let Christina make a decision but it's mostly his way. Christina has it going on without help from a man. Her homes are beautiful. I hope the show continues.

I love the staging.
Why does he always disagree when he knows she's right about open concept. Then at the end says it's great & wants even more for the house. I knda see why she left him
Okay but the wood on the ceiling makes it look smaller in the dining space. Eek
It's just in the dining room which makes it more intimate. That is exactly what restaurants do.
They are using the wrong drywall in the bathrooms, they need to use green because it is mold and moisture resistant
I hate that they left that huge chunk of wood for the address on the house. Would have looked much better with new black metal numbers!!!
It's a small kitchen and the windows let in a lot of light removing the windows is going to darken the kitchen, what they could do is maybe take out one window or make the windows smaller but not necessarily take them out. Tarek you also need to stop doing the same color scheme over and over not everything is different shades of gray and white also listen to Christina a little bit more when it comes to design she knows what she's talking about. The numbers need to add up I agree but the design needs to add up as well.

I will always be floored with the prices in California. Wages must be tremendously higher than here in Kansas.
Wages are higher and weather is like living in paradise year round. Compared to cold snow or 110+ weather

"Christina thinks a problem can be fixed by throwing money at it" perhaps not in your love life, but definitely when you are flipping houses. Buyers see skimpy work. In the end Christina was correct again, with her design, they got $30k more than expected, but I did not hear Tarek admitting that she was correct (once again!).
Seeing the kitchen when you walk in means the kitchen has to look good all the time.

So true. It's always a huge improvement, but it's ALWAYS grey - laminate flooring, white cabinets, tile showers, etc.
@Sheron Evans This is the first one I've heard Christina say "we are known for our big open kitchens". Also, Tarek has said in other videos that "neutral colours appeal to the largest number of buyers". As flipping houses is their business, they don't want to make their pool of buyers smaller by using colours that may not appeal.

That's something we all know, but it's always grey, never beige, greige, or any other neutral. Having a formula makes perfect sense because it makes decision making simple, takes the least amount of time, etc. But certain styles of homes would look better in a warmer colors, as it keeps the integrity of the house.
Maybe if he just trust Christina after all these years. There would be less fighting 😏

In every house she goes into she constantly says, Uggh," with that terrible thing she does with her mouth. Can you imagine him having to hear that every day of his life? It's LONG past tired.
This was probably the easiest flip ever, I feel like they didn’t even have to try on this one.
I despise & detest the lack of counter space and/or space in ALL their bathroom designs!! I cannot believe that they get by not furnishing a refrigerator, in everyone of their "remodels". Very shotty.
