Wow the amount of preservatives you put on the frame youd think you lived in the rain forest! Great job

Man...what a detailed person you are Suj! I love every detail you put into it and hearing your thinking behind those details. Very polished. And those risers...I’m not even sure we have those here, but they look handy!
    Great video!

G’day mate, this is a sturdy deck & I love the risers, we live in a time of innovative components being available & affordable & that’s a nice thing, the tape you use is a fantastic inclusion also.
I had to laugh when you spoke about mowing the decking lol, great idea adding weed mat mate, looking forward to the next part 👍👍👍

Thanks for sharing this with us, Suj. I`m about to start constructing my own deck subframe and this has given me a few ideas, particularly regarding the flashing tape. I was wondering whether it was just me who over-engineered things when doing things like this, but we both know that if we`re going to the time, trouble, pain & expense of doing something like this, you only want to do it once, eh? Inspied!

@@SujMenon thanks Suj. We are hundreds of miles away and the island itself is 30 mi off the coast and is perpetually blowing off to some degree (in fact it vents the volcanic system of the whole Nth Island)- those poor buggers just picked the wrong day.

Thanks, yes, prep work is key. It takes extra time, but well worth it. Nothing more annoying to see a deck support start to rot, after all the hardwork put into building it.
