I currently live in NJ, we built a house in Horry county. Signed the contract, right before Covid hit in November of 2020. The house was completed by May of 2021. Similar to this house, ours is 4bd/2ba, 1767 heated sqft. The lot is .35 acres. With upgrades we paid $215,000. That same model home is now going upwards of $300,000. I think the mortgage rates are stopping a lot of people from buying! We got ours at 3%, now they’re about 8%!!
