The idea of Vinny eventually corrupting DKC into Skyrim is the modern reimagining of the army of monkeys in typewriters eventually writing Shakespeare.
Except Skyrim is bad. So it'd be more like sandblasting the David statue into a McDonald's logo.

Part of what was not mentioned in the video is that these corruptions are probably 6 years old at this point.
I made them back in the old Vine Sauce Rom Corrupter back in the day.
I simply ported them to work in the RTC and blammo.
Also, I had no idea of the meat Kong. I was blown away as well.

Not surprised that the old corruptor produced such quality content. It took hours to days worth to get anything worthwhile, but when you did it gave you hours back with a on-going glitch.
At least we have rapid self contained corruptions that can be made a lot easier now. But I do need miss the mega corruptions.

I remember at 1:33:23 the Twitch chat was just putting in random Twitch Plays Pokemon commands and it was really wholesome
I think what was happening during those Donkey Kong corruptions was that rather than Diddy Kong perfectly following DK's path of movement like usual, he became a separate character controlled at the same time, in effect having 2 players on-screen at once (which is why he could ride Rambi alone, ground slap, and deplete lives).
I think that's a pre existing glitch

Corruptions were my first exposure to Vinny and Vinesauce as a whole so they’re definitely one of my favorite things and I almost thought they were no more for a minute lmao.

At the 2:30 mark, Vinny says "who likes to play music", and this triggered my Amazon Echo. That thing really has a tendency to hear "I like the" and similar things as "Alexa". It happens far too often. There was a RDD2 stream that triggered a fart noise also, I don't even know why.

On the topic of breaking nintendo ds's my first nintendo ds snapped in two when i was in the middle of playing pokemon diamond the game was still functional enough to save because part of the top screen was still hanging on. My dad somehow managed to use a hot glue gun to fix it and it actually still worked after that despite the color on the top screen being absolutely fucked. It allowed the DS to last another 7-8 years which was impressive. Id get nervous closing it because it could eventually come apart due to it literally being glued together lol

@@Lishadra Yeah it lasted much longer then i ever would of anticipated it to. Only issue is i had to keep playing with the screen so the colors would go back to normal which made using it uncomfortable at times.

I really enjoy seeing how my favorite games are coded by how they behave once corrupted. I learned from mario 64 that the songs aren’t pre-recorded, but an arrangement similar to sheet music and the instruments can be substituted by other sounds used in the game. This is really a neat way to get into coding.

The thing is, with the original Link's Awakening, a lot of the glitches seen (including getting a L-0 shield) are actually easily performable on the actual hardware. The game's held together with fucking masking tape and I love it.
