One thing I would like to say. In the 90s Sachin was attacking as any batsman including Lara. If not for BCCI, we would have had many more foreign tours vs McGrath and Donald and vs England. In 1998 was one of the highest peaks of cricket I’ve seen.
Nowadays Warne and Donald seem to have forgotten what he was in the 90s.
In that period, he was more than a player, he was an emotion and he kept us happy.
It’s only in the 2000s he became an accumulator and perceptions changed.
Cheers to the little Master and I hope he gets through the tough time of Achrekar sir passing away.

and so is virat ..an emotion for us who are following cricket intensely since 2009 ......an emotion ..an passion....an institution that how to be passionate and how to be that much driven in life and attain success....... I AM NOT COMPARING THE BOTH ,BUT JUT SAYING THAT MY GRANDFATHER FELT THE SAME WAY ABOUT GAVASKAR ..MAINLY SO ABOUT SUNNY ..THEN MY DAD AND OTHERS FOLLOWED SACHIN ...AND WE HAVE VIRAT ....3 EPITOME OF INDIAN BATSMAN SHIP .......

Rajarshi Chatterjee absolutely, massive fan. No need to compare as every great batsman has got something unique:
Sachin: most balanced batsman and best back foot cover drive. Complete.
Lara: the back lift, the placement and follow through, pure class. Best player of spin bowling.
Viv: power, reflexes, bravery, swagger and aura
Dravid: patience, determination, grit and technique.
AB: innovation, best player of pace bowling I’ve seen.
Ponting: best pull shot, gutter fighter and winner.
Virat: hard work, magnificent wrist work and energy.
Amongst a few of the greats!

Started watching Cricket in 2007. And I am proud to have witnessed Sachin from 2007-2011. It was a phenomenal period for him.
Some will say the '90-95 was the most glorious period of Sachin, some say the late 90's, some say 2001-03, but I would still say 2007-11. That was a period where he reinvented himself to perfectly suit both forms of the game. And scored runs in NZ, AUS, ENG, SL and most importantly, in SA.
And of course who can forget that first ever double century in ODIs??

Much like Sachin's both test and odi careers cant be summed up in one 7:30 minute video, I can go on an on about your contributions, to keep it short ---- your articulation of the greats (likes of Sachin, Sehwag, etc) and opinion was the main highlight even after watching ball by ball coverage, and with so many generations passed, your opinion is still second to none. Hope to meet you in person someday.

One thing is Sure, Who's the Greatest of All Time is Subjective at the end but if few bunch of great players consistently made it into Some prestigious All Time Greatest lists published by Credible publications , Historians/Experts and Websites like WISDEN , ESPN Cricinfo , The Roar and etc then it will create a Legacy for those particular players because those few players having selected by these multiple publications is not a flueke but they have a commonality of Greatness at the Highest level and better than most of the other Great players who maybe perhaps not in the same Stature as those few Great players who has made it into those lists.
For Ex: WISDEN and ESPN Cricinfo has consistently rated Bradman , Sobers , Tendulkar and Warne as among the Top 4 Greatest Cricketers Ever and In their All Time Greatest World XI Teams which solidify their Greatness ahead of other Great players who narrowly missed out from their Lists or didn't made it into Top 10 Rankings.
