Came, saw what I needed to see, heard what I needed to hear, spent the money where it needed to be spent. Can’t wait to get it in a couple of weeks! Like always, thank you Adam for the awesome review and great information of the product.
I've been rocking the Tegu and Komodo since the early days of Furitek, it has been a performer and never an issue with my 4WS browning out, loving every minute. If I build a Caymen chassis the Python Pro sounds like my diggity, giggity giggity
Stoked to see all these new offerings before I’ve even gotten the chance to experience brushless On this rig you’re running the 57mm swamp kings right?
I’m wondering if that’s what’s happening in my AX24. I have the Lizard Pro and I may be experiencing some brown outs. But the Python Pro would be a challenge to fit in the AX24.
yeah the only issue i have with the lizard pro is the cutout on 5 and 6v with 4ws, cant move them too fast or it cuts out and wont retart by itself on 6v. im assuming this esc will work with the stinger motor for the trx4m?
I don't like that its bigger than the Lizard Ultimate (which seems to be out of stock, not sure if they will discontinue in favour of the pythons), not really interested in 4 S or whatever servo power it offers, loved the small size of the LU.
Pro: those servos look like They can actually help you get out of a high centered situation by either jerking the vehicle or pushing against a rock sideways. Con: the wheels steer so fast that they don’t look realistic. But you don’t have to make steering inputs that fast. Question: how does ESC noise compare to other options?
I would expand on the cons by saying they are SO fast that I sometimes accidentally flip myself over or blow lines by bumping the steering knob. The esc is slightly noisier than the lizard pro but it is still very quiet.
You should look at the speed of the servo as resolution. They will still relate to the steering knob on your transmitter. If you are use to having servos that lag it might take some getting use to.
I have some rigs that can probably benefit from these specs but I like the size and some of my rigs rely on the small size of the lizard. Without the BT dongle and using the radio features the lizards fit anywhere. I did not hear alot about brownouts before this and only saw it demonstrated by working the hell out of them in non useful ways (as fast as possible til it happens). I only have a couple 4ws rigs. I don't use stock servos or comparable ones like emax but I don't use the most power hungry ones either. I've been using agfrc and OGRC. For a few dollars more I will use this python though where I can and if I see a need.
I think the output from this is overkill for 95% of the trucks out there. But the compact, waterproof design with internal bluetooth is worth the $10 upgrade over the lizard pro in my eyes even if you dont need the massive output
What is the best brushed motor for the scx24? I was looking for something that has low speed, but high torque, I don’t really care about the size of the motor just as long as it works with the low center of gravity endura carbon fiber, chassis.
I really like the LGRP reaper 66t motor. If you want a little more wheel speed, the 50t motors like the Injora pro 50 or LGRP predator, or the Mofo RC torquebeast. They're all great.
The avatar has proportional rear steering so you can run both at the same time. They've even released a new 4WS avatar with a dial to independently control the 4WS. I'm hoping to demo that soon.
@@CapeCrawlers thanks for that , I always called it a stall out , but I see the funny side of the brown part now , thanks mate and keep the videos coming, love to see you and your little boy having fun with the cars , great fun for all ages imo, stay safe mate ...
@@CapeCrawlers you don’t have to post a video, if you can drop a link so I can buy a few that would be awesome ❤️ Love all my Furitek stuff, just need a waterproof one for my UTB18 that has the 118 in it already with 2 299:LP REEFS and 37 leds so I can take it out on waterfall night runs.
Tell you one thing that I have heard and I have seen with my own eyes and that is that not to do nothing to the throttle curve leave it like it is update the firmware and run it so far I have not have glitch are caulking no I haven't heard a whole lot of good about the LG r p tires right I think it's people not learning the right amount of foam or the right insert because I'm telling you right now I've had great great performance out of them Trail Kings
Feel like your kinda limited with these ESCs, as to wanting to put anything extra to it, like another steering servo for the back, lights, etc. Don't get me wrong, does look pretty cool, but feels limited, imo.
You're right, this is just one component of the electronics. For extra goodies like lights and such you'll need the new receiver too. Down the rabbit hole!

Great review Adam! Just sold me on my new ESC for the FMS K5 Blazer build to make it dance! Great stuff Furitek!!!

Love to see all the options for new electronics we have now!
Looking awesome doing it also, love that paint job looking good out there Yep I was here watching
It's 5a. Can't honestly be enough for a 10th servo under load
No, but it makes for a good test on the bench. It throws around the dual reefs 179's like they are nonexistent though
You can use a direct power servo.

This one has the big 64mm swamp kings
@@CapeCrawlers man they look so much smaller with the cut out fenders. Do you run the same size on your gladiator?

I don't see why it wouldn't. As far as I know there is no special firmware for that combo

Those Servos are crazy fast!
They are nearly instantaneous. It's wild.
Badass little truck
Dude those are some serious rocks for such a little truck. That deadbolt makes mine look amateur lol.
That's the proving ground! Many axles and parts have been broken there lol
Great vid!
Now this is a good setup for a crawler
Agreed

Id like to see a comparison of Furitek and the Dinky RC stuff, since they look like they are the two biggest players right now ..
I would love to do that. I think I will contact Dinky to see if we can get a collab going!
thanks i need it now
Will this work with the injora pro motor and stock transmitter ?
10:00-10:20! The Flex!

With the Tegu24 pro and the Avatar RX is there any way to control both servos with the steering?

Does the python pro have a receiver built into to it
It does not. You'll still need an external rx to plug into
This might be silly question but I noticed people saying ( brown outs ) lately, what is a brown out ?
Momentary stalls in response from the ESC. It basically freezes, or drops the majority of it's power under a heavy load.

In the app what motor type do you put in for that pancake motor
I put in the komodo for mine
But will they make a UTB18 version or a firmware to update the Python to work on the UTB18?
Yes! I have the UTB18 setup ready to go later this week. Very excited to try it

Where did u get the servo horns for tho servo that u have on the 179 reefs
I got them directly from Reefs
Those are the Reefs Micro Horns, there is a long and a shorty
