    Great video, I just got my first autograph print and can already feel the itch of wanting more.

    WOW, very informative & excellent protection guide. Gave this video a like and well deserved thumbs up! I do have a question. You mention these recommendations for signatures on posters or pictures. What if the autograph is on an index card? Can it be stored in a card saver or top loader for the LONG TERM, based on the ink already absorbed into the cardboard paper material?

    Great video! Would love if maybe you could show us a separate video as to how you scan the autographs. Perhaps also showing the type of scanner used. I would love to scan my collection and start hanging them up but not sure what the best way is especially for 16x20 autographs.

    Thanks so much. Looks like I’ll be getting a art profolio. I have had some of my autographs in top loaders for years. Pulled a couple out and surprisingly nothing was smudged. Also is keeping the autographs in container tubs a ok idea?

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před rokem +1

      Depending on the climate where you live, the container tubs may do damage if the temperature changes frequently

    Great vid. Do you have any tips or suggestion on types of glass to protect autographed pictures? I’m trying to make my own mats/frames but can’t find helpful consistent information about glass online. I see some talk of UV Conservation glass and Museum glass, and was wondering if you use anything like that.

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před 19 dny

      I personally display copies of my autographs so I just use regular frames
      But I have friends that use UV glass with mattes to protect their framed pieces
      You can always by a cheaper frame and then the UV glass separate as well

    Thanks for video, bought my 1st autographed photo. Any tips or resources on removing fingerprints from photo?

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před měsícem +1

      There isn't a way to remove fingerprints fully without damaging the photo but you can use a microfiber cloth to softly wipe the areas with fingerprints and no autograph

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před 9 měsíci

      Sorry for the late response! I keep my Itoya binders upright. Similar to books on a bookshelf. That way, they don't have the pressure from the binders on top.

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Sorry for the late response! I would recommend getting a regular poster signed. Depending on the pen type, the autograph may fade over time on a metal surface.

      @@BrandaoCollection thank you for reply. I have been using a sharpie pen at Comic-Con since 2021.
      So far it hasn't faded yet.

      I was going to get a funko pop signed at a comic con I got a paint pen but saw another video on hear saying it can be taken of by a alcohol wipe so was going to get posters signed but if I never took them out the glass would it still be OK? And would the auto fade as the frames come with the border but I chucked them and tbh I would cover the pic if I put a border in it

    I always wonder, after getting something signed, how long do I take to ensure ink is dry and place in a toploader or a pop protector??

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před měsícem

      It all depends on the pen used. A paint pen needs 5-10 minutes to dry. For a sharpie, that only needs a minute or two. I wouldn’t leave any signed photo in a toploader for long term though

    So I have a 8x10 autograph photo print, I noticed it had a few finger creases I’m guessing from handling , anyway to remove those?? Please help lol

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Slight finger creases would be difficult to remove completely. Stacking some books on the photo temporarily could help with deep creases. No matter what you do, be careful cause any option could possibly add additional damage.

    Hi there. How do I preserve autographs done on a canvas after it is signed? Do I put anything on it?

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před měsícem

      There really isn’t a way to preserve autographs on canvas without possible damage
      But you should be good with canvas since it holds inks very well
      Just keep liquids and sunlight away

      A standard tube is fine, a 3 inch is ok as well, or a 4 inch but that may be too much.

    I know I’m super late I really hope you see this but where is the best place to get 11x17 and 27x40 frames where the autograph won’t touch the glass???

    • @BrandaoCollection
      @BrandaoCollection  Před 2 měsíci

      I get my frames from Amazon for up to 11x17. I would recommend getting a size up so you can put a matte around the photo so it doesn't touch the glass. For full size posters, Hollywood Poster Frames is great. A bit pricey but definitely worth it especially for autographed posters.
