It's awesome to see the engine going back in. A lot of blood, sweat, tears, and headaches went into this rebuild, I'm sure. Kudos to you, Martin, for knocking it out of the park. Can't wait to see it running again.

Hey Martin fantastic job you did rebuild this motor way better than what Cummins even the other company who rebuilt it this motor has your hand print all over it and it should last you in lifetime I’ll say one thing it’s sad when people don’t stand by their work, it shows you that companies don’t care and you had to pay a price and that means money out of your pocket that she never had happened. They should’ve covered it for you no matter how long the warranty wise or if there wasn’t a warranty they should still have covered it for you, Martin, you’re one heck of a mechanic you know your stuff inside out I’m happy for you. I’m glad you got it it it’s gonna run for you. You are one fantastic mechanic I’m a mechanic too but man watching you I’d love to learn from you more because man, you know your stuff, be blessed Martin

I have a 2017 Ram 3500 and the Turbo Actuator went out at 67800 miles a few months ago. The actuator that replaced it was rebuilt 2 yr warranty and it cost over 2600 dollars rebuilt. Labor was 900. I could of replaced it cause it wasn't that hard but I couldn't calibrate it cause I don't have the computer. I was told the actuator makes minor adjustments to the waste gate to optimize performance and emmisions. Its sure runs good after the fix. I didn't realize the slight down grade in performance on the old one. Anyway it looks much differant than the one he repalced here but does the same thing. Learn something new on these new cummins engines.

That was awesome. Engine looked a lot bigger when it was swinging around in the air. Having all the pieces and parts put back together gives a much better picture of the true size of it. Certainly does make Martin's work look most impressive. I can hardly wait to see that truck purring again. Great Job, Martin !

Congrats on the re-install! I like to use anti-seize on bolts that go through heat cycles (Actuator).

Boy I sure did not like you standing in the engine bay and that engine almost dangling above your head. Sometimes we put ourselves in harms way. Glad that part is over. @@TruckingTogether I have done a lot of deck, step and RGN work. I have seen and experienced when things go wrong. I just felt that your safety was kind of put on the line, so I mentioned it, I had a genuine concern for your safety. There are things that can be done and the numbers are low for a mishap and there are times a person should just not partake in. I feared for your safety. I know you know what your doing Martin and I think I know you would just not throw caution to the wind.

Hey Martin, I have a M11 Cummins in a 1999 International that we had a engine light come on last night and it has a miss now. I think it may have dropped an injector. That computer program you have about what does it cost and where can you get it? Good to see that motor setting back in the truck hope everything goes smoothly for you. Thanks Steve

How heavy is your rebuilt engine?
What torque rating is the trans in tiny?
i dont think you put the turbo arm in the correct position before you put on the actuator, the hole in turbo housing has to line up with the hole in the arm, and you should use a crap load of anti sieze on the bolts,

I'm curious as to why this engine is ELD exempt. I'm under the impression that it has to be at least a 1999 yr model engine or older. Am I missing something here?
