He exceeded all the Messengers in merit and rank
أَهْدَى السُّبُلَ لِدَلالَتِهِ
He guided people to the paths with his signs and proofs
كَنْزُ الْكَرَمِ عذْبُ الكلِم
He is the treasure of grace, his speech is sweet and eloquent
هادي الأُممِ لشريعتهِ
He is the guide of all the nations towards the Sacred Law
أزكى النسَبِ أعلى الحسَبِ
His lineage is the purest, his stature is the noblest
هو خيرُ نبي في أُمتِه
He is the greatest prophet in his nation
سَعَت الشَّجَرُ نَطَقَ الحَجَرُ
Trees walked towards him, stones spoke to greet him
شُقّ القَمَرُ بِإِشَارتِهِ
The moon was split upon a signal of his hand
جِبْرِيلُ أَتَاه لَيْلَةَ أَسْرَى
Jibreel came to him (with glad tidings from Allah) on the Night of Ascension [Israa']
والرَّبُ دعاه لحضرتهِ
And the Lord invited him [to the heavens] and bestowed upon him the honour of intimacy
