I did transit bus conversion (Orion city bus from Rockville MD. Friend bought in auction for $1500 and drove back to TN. I paid $4,000. The hard work and little random things you have to buy costs more than you ever think. I bet we put 10k in ours and not finished (but very livable) Got pretty good with a Kreg cut brand pocket screw system and 2x4s. Used a lot of white prepainted wainscoting that looks great. Ended up very plush and luxurious. . We stay in it for months at a time. Way better than Skoolies due to head room. We did two Twin beds in rear with tv at back of rear. Sitting/recliner area in middle and kitchen counters on both sides of front(we have 5 inch thick live edge maple on one side and granite on the other.) Made everything %100 custom. No bathroom or shower and still %100 extension cords so got to finish electric. We Keep it in barn that we installed a nice bathroom with shower toilet sink and stack washer dryer. I use two space heaters for heat.(need three if it gets down below zero). Am very anxious about actually driving it around. We using it like an apartment at our farm. Like it better than my 3500 sq foot house.
Great overall finished job. Love it. But, I notice most Bus/Van conversions, they all put the electrical panels underneath the bed 😱 perhaps it's more convenient, but Safety and Fengshui wise? No No. What if the panel overheated and caught on fire? right underneath the bed. Also, the electrical buzzing when you're sleeping... My suggestion if possible is put underneath the Bench next to the kitchen. You can store clothing, underneath your bed \, this way you'll sleep better and unlikely turn into a zombie 🤣
It's totally safe, the system would be grounded to the frame of the bus, and they're sleeping on a wooden bed not a metal one, any residual current would travel the shortest path to the ground, not up into their bed and them.

By far. It has all the stuff that I’d want. Wash, full bath, full fridge. Solar power. The only thing I thing I didn’t see is A/C
