Today I show you how to make a Bank Vault in Minecraft! It uses redstone contraptions, cool buildings and redstone security to function. It's a really fun build that should keep your items and diamonds safe from griefers, raiders and even creepers!

Trapped chest. duh. Just use a trap chest as a dummy and put the real one hidden somewhere else, under dirt or something innocent/natural looking.

Tip: make a fake underground storage system with a trapped chest and some tnt under it. Name the chest "lmao trolled" and watch the thief explode. Also I suggest the place being a room out of obsidian or bedrock so nothing happens to the room. After you're done trolling name another trapped chest and repeat the process. Also the chest can either be empty or have something extremely not valuable (dirt, grass, etc).
Your real storage system can be hidden in your actual base

@@epiktactics This worked for me on java 1.16.1 after I read this wonderful comment. It's the blue wool blocks with redstone torches on top of them right below the Obsidian blocks located at 3:46 (He builds the block with blue wool and redstone torch here). I built this entire thing 3 times via Mumbo's tutorial and followed every single step he made (pause/unpause all day). It did not work for me until I swapped out both of those blue wool blocks with target blocks. Added a torch on top of each target block and there is another redstone torch that goes on the backs of the target blocks, you will see later in the video at 4:14. I tried to be as descriptive as possible. Goodluck.

Guys, for 1.16.1, use a target block instead of the blue wool below the Obsidian (the one with a redstone torch on top and back). then the rest identical and it works.

Hey, if this doesnt work for you anymore, its probably because;
1. Redstone updated and it probably wont work anymore.
2. You're not playing on PC
3. You messed something up.
So don't blame Mumbo, if it worked for him, it should work for you.

its not that it dont work it probably does but i just doubt i will use it though the concept is interesting i dont know how to make it off the top of my head so i would rather just use something simple like a 2 by 2 door or a simple hidden place with a maze that is built very specifically
Anyone know if hoppers no longer accept items tossed on them? This seems to be my issue
*Hey y'all, I figured out a weird fix for it post 1.16!* Place a target block next to the redstone torch and between the slabs he's building ( 3:59 right there on top of the redstone his crosshair is aiming at) on both sides and it should work again!

It’s 2022 now and I remember getting recommended this video then as I did now I even built this vault following the tutorial. This video even introduced me to his Chanel those were the times.

You should actually build your bank on Hermitcraft, and store all of your precious stuff inside. Then you could give loans out, and make money off of the hermits that take too long to deliver the items back to you! (Or, you could store other Hermit's items, at a small cost.) Etc... Just an idea!

That is the minimum requirement, I believe
You'll ultimately want 6 immovable blocks

Comapred to soem other redstone I've seen, yes, this was rather compact and somewhat simple. Though I don't blame you if you don't quite follow, even simple redstone can be a bit confusing.

the door doesn't work anymore in 1.16 if you leave it unmodified, if you change out the block where the redstone is supposed to be running in to but doesn't look like it does for a target block it works just fine

Next add a repeater on 2 ticks on the edge without the extra piece of redstone.

Next, add a 4 tick repeater in the middle. Now in order, you should have 2 ticks, 4 ticks, and dust.
Now add 2 sticky pistons, facing towards the extra edge of dust, and a block in front of the dust. Now add a lever anywhere on the back 3 dust.
For bedrock: replace the 2 tick repeater with a 3 tick repeater. Replace the 4 tick repeater with a 3 tick repeater. Now add another 3 tick repeater to the back and link it up using more dust.

It would be better with at least 4. I prefer a named item, like a tripwire named Level (#) Access Key or Bank Vault Key or something like that, then you drop it in a hopper or put it in a chest, drop it through a block onto a minecart hopper to an item sorter so that if it's the right item it opens the door but if it's not it goes into a chest in the vault or the secret room or whatever.
