I have a friend who isn't a Dear, but she appreciates Dimash whenever she hears him sing. Which is basically only when we're driving in my car together. I once played her Dimash's Ave Maria without telling who was singing.
Her after the song finished: "She could probably break glass."
    Me: "It's Dimash."
Her: "He could DEFINITELY break glass 😳"

👉 Just a few notes and Dimash's voice... and people all over the world melt away. An angel does not need words to convey his message... Everyone understands! I have never heard anything more beautiful.
This is a magical new classic masterpiece that people are sure to hear in 300 years.
For Christians, Mary is the Mother of God. But she also plays a role in other religions: in Judaism she is considered the greatest daughter of the people, in Islam she is the mother of the prophet Jesus.
The Ave Maria (Eng.: Hail Mary) is one of the most commonly said prayers in Christianity.
A Muslim and a Jew created a new grandiose masterpiece. It needs no words and therefore a prayer for all people in this world... breathtaking, touching and simply beautiful.
When Dimash asked Master Krutoy to compose a new Ave Maria for him, he imagined an angel... Dimash said in an interview... and the two are overearthly wonderful. I'm lost for words.
For me, Dimash is the difference between the music business and true art.
Over the past 15 years, the soprano and producer Andrea Chudak has collected over 200 compositions 'Ave Maria' from all eras of music history.
A compilation of 68 selected 'Ave Maria' versions gives 'a striking overview of a repertoire that can hardly be grasped in its entirety', says Andrea Chudak. 'From Gregorian chant to arrangements of successful folk songs, to occasional works by composers who have been successful in other genres, and contemporary pieces..."(operetta-researchcenter)
Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music.
    * Igor Krutoy ( piano), *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash.
When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count.
“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. (www)
You should watch a video of a world class ice skater from Russia dancing to Ave Maria sung by Dimash:
    * Anna Shcherbakova ice dancing to - Ave Maria - Europeans 2022 - czcams.com/video/ha2qXCliahg/video.html

It's like Ah-veh Maria. Which means Hail Mary in Latin. There are worded versions of Ave Maria, but this version was written specifically for Dimash by the bald man on the piano, Igor Krutoy.
As of right now, i don't know anyone who tried to sing this song. He doesn't close his mouth once in this performance, so all the singing is done with tongue and throat, but he does change the shape of his mouth a little, to get different sound/resonances.

As a youth, Dimash was sometimes teased about maintaining and developing his upper range when all the other boys were trying to expand their "manly" voices. (He did that too.) The result : the greatest vocalist in the world, who can sing whatever he wants.

Thank you for your reaction. You were not disrespectful in any way. Yes, Dimash can sing female opera range. Ave Maria has been around for hundreds of years, in various formats. It is a prayer to the Virgin Mary. However, since Dimash takes out the words (vocalise), it makes the song available to all, regardless of faith tradition.

Dimash is just great, isn't it? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more.
Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to.
Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury.
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship.
Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Ave Maria (Ahh-vay Maria) the most commonly known version of the song by Franz Schubert, which does have lyrics, you have probably heard many times throughout your life. It is technically a prayer to the Virgin Mary and his most associated with the Catholic religion, however, it is often heard as Christmas music.
This is not opera it is classical music and it has been covered hundreds of times over the last 200 years by men and women. There are several other compositions of this song. I would say it's next to impossible that you've never heard the lyrical most common version of this song at some point.

Arve-a Maria, .....this one a recomposition by the accompanying pianist Igor Krutoy for Dimash to vocalise.
Dimash is a completely normal male singer with an abnormal range that takes in the whole 88 key piano except for a couple of the bottom notes.
So his fully usable range is from base to soprano including both male and female aspects of sounds/frequencies.
His mum is an operatic high soprano, and his dad sings with her onstage. So Dimash has this in his genes and has studied extensively since he was born and still does.
And it is his destiny, so it opens up before him.

For your own information, it's pronounced Ah-Vey Maria. It's perfectly fine to us, we already know :). There are not many songs where you can hear the plucking of the harp strings in today's music. You are correct, it physical!. There are many versions of the song Ave Maria with words.
Dimash's “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice written by Igor Krutoy, in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note. At the end, the advanced vocal technique: “Messa Di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it. Singing on whistle and super head voice with SOFT SOUND IS SO HARD TO DO, harder than loud whistle note!

Wait until you see some of his more rockish songs like Dudaraz, Kieli Meken, Golden for starters. Maybe Screaming from his 2021 digital concert. If you want absolute goosebumbs but not one single high note... do Samaltau from his 2021 digital concert, compete with affects. Three of these are in his native Kazakh and two in English. Don't think anyone would be offended by what you said at all. Great hat by the way.

There are few women who can sing high notes so pleasantly. Often it is disturbing for me. Dimash sings so clearly. And still with power. It's a blessing. Dimash controls his body so well that it looks so easy. - This is a composition from Igor Krutoy (man at the piano) for Dimash. He wanted a song like this.

An angel in our midst. A beautiful version of Ave Maria and an incredible performance. Keep going - there’s so much more Dimash to discover. He’s more than extraordinary.
Just for your information “Ave” is pronounced “Arvay” Maria 🙏🏻🇦🇺

The tonal quality of a male soprano...usually a castrated male...is weightier than the female soprano. Throughout his teens, despite opposing pressure from teachers., Dimash managed to hang onto his male prepubescent vocals as he grew into an adulthood. He also worked on his low tones...but the high notes he could soar and maneuver all over. His high notes are far and above more substantial than other high male singers because he is a master at regulating his vocal apparatus and took full control. When you listen and compare ...Dimash has a scope that runs in several dimensional qualities. It's not just linnier. It's exponential.
Male castrati were considered the epitome of sacred singing. The Vienna Boys Choir is world renowned. However most are young and not castrated....as they did in the Medieval period.
But...if they sound like an angel...it may be not so surprising.
Biblically, angels are males. And they sing with utmost beauty.
Maybe Dimash is an angel... dropped off on Earth because we humans are way getting out of line and too far into darkness. This performance was a spiritual one. Created from the original Catholic Ave Maria to be without lyrics so that it would encompass all faiths.
It's beauty implores us to quiet reverence.
Dimash is touched by the Divine I do believe. No one else comes close to what he does...and is.
Enjoyed your reaction and appreciate greatly your respectful commentary.

Don't worry about pronouncing the title correctly. Very few people get that right. I'm impressed that you picked up on the fact that his mouth didn't move and it was all tongue and throat so to say. Usually only vocal coaches point that out. This song was written by Igor Krotoy (the man playing piano) specifically for Dimash.
To me this is literally " heavenly". Okay this at my funeral please lol. I enjoyed your reaction and look forward to more Dimash reactions from you. Thank you ❤️

This version of Ave Maria was composed by Igor Krutoy (the guy at the piano) per Dimash’s request. Dimash is Muslim, Igor is Jewish. The result is the universal prayer for humanity.
As for Dimash’s vocals, he breaks all the gender and genre-related preconceptions. It’s the VOICE, which Dimash uses masterfully to convey the message and emotions.

Yeah when it comes to being slow with language, I hear you🥺😢
Ave is pronounced Ahh Vay. It means Hail or Hello. One of the few things I remember from 4 years of Latin class in middle school.
All my marks were in the 90's except languages, Latin, Greek, French, German, and Spanish; all in the low 60's.☹️
I agree that the angelic clarity of his voice in the high notes does really sound as he is a castrato or female.
I sometimes wonder if SoHyang or Siti Nurhaliza could reproduce this Ave Maria? 🤔
The only one that I know could have done it, was the incredible Peruvian vocalist, Yma Sumac.😍
Thankyou for sharing this song with us.❤
    🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

Here's my explanation of "Ave Maria".
    1) The Angel Gabriel said hi to the Virgin Mary. He let her know that she'd be giving birth to the son of God, and it would be cool. Because he was Gabriel he expressed this pretty well, though he is said to have thought you'd need a real angel to express the last note adequately via something like Messa di Voce.
    2) The Virgin Mary duly gave birth to the dude. Few noticed at the time but you can't always predict where a story goes based on its start.
    3) Humans made a fuss about Gabriel and Mary in pieces of scripture written shortly after the kid died.
    4) Humans continued making a fuss about the scenario covered by pieces of scripture, and around 600 AD (according to scholars) turned it into a prayer of sorts that got called "Angelic Salutation".
    5) A later generation (scholars say around 1050 AD) turned the prayer into a major viral hit popular at places called "Churches". The Latin version became popular, and its first two words were "Ave Maria". Simple people started calling it that instead of the rather droll mouthful "Angelic Salutation".
    6) Even later humans (think 1100 AD thru 1400 AD) began setting the prayer to music so choirs could sing it. It became known as "the" song "Ave Maria", though there were in fact a whole bunch of them.
    7) Even later (think 1500 AD or so) the Catholic Church made a particular set of lyrics in Latin become a standard Catholic thing. The first two words were still "Ave Maria", so simple people again ignored the rather droll mouthful that was the Latin version of "Angelic Salutation", and instead called the particular Catholic backed Latin lyrics "Ave Maria".
    8) In 1825 Schubert published a song he wrote called Ellen's Third Song. It had absolutely nothing to do with any of the foregoing, the Angelic Salutation and all that -- so why am I mentioning it? Well, the first two words were again "Ave Maria" (Schubert was playing off the prayer/song). And guess what simple people did? They started calling Schubert's new song "Ave Maria" instead of the fun, but still rather long, "Ellen's Third Song". Also, it was a fantastic pop song with an awesome tune, so simple folk largely junked thinking about the boring Catholic stuff and thought about Schubert's song.
    9) Next -- and this was a particularly effective move -- some bright sparks decided to combine Schubert's melody with the Latin lyrics of the Catholic prayer, perhaps to steal the spotlight back away from the "pop" song Ellen's Third Song.
    10) Next -- and this was arguably an even more effective move -- singers who loved Schubert's melody but also wanted to mix it with both the religious spin and get away from it and its Latin thought "Hmm, why not sing the melody, add in some vocalization of that in some way, and call the combination "Ave Maria"?
    11) Next -- and imo this was the master move -- Dimash, who as a composer deeply respected Schubert's composition but also dug the religious connotation but also wanted to appeal to all religions with respect for Christ, not just Christian, so Muslims and Jews alike, and also wanted to appeal to people from all nations, not just folk who could speak Latin or English or whatever, and even those who weren't religious, thought to himself "What if a Muslim -- me -- sang a variant of Ave Maria -- a Christian song, avoiding the Catholic only flavor of Latin -- composed by a Jew -- Igor Krutoy, using a language -- vocalise -- that could be understood and felt by anyone on the planet from a baby in the womb in the third trimester to someone on their deathbed or beyond without regard to any religion?"
    12) And what if that could repeat step 5)?
Peace and love from the UK. 🕊💖

hi, first time on your channel, i think its nice that you don't want to cause offense to anyone in your audience but i wouldn't worry about it, people who want to be offended will find a reason, the rest of us know what you mean. Dimash can sing higher than most women and lower than most men, as you said he transcends our expectations, i think if you said to the man himself that he sounds like a girl when he sings the high notes he would take it as a compliment. he has total control, when he wants to sing high and sound masculine he does, when he sounds feminine he is doing so on purpose. The pianist in this performance is a famous composer who writes songs (like this one) that can only be sung by dimash, gender is irrelevant when it comes to such a unique talent.

We do note get mad, it´s you who llose the chance to enjoy more in your journey through Dimash´d world. There are a few songs to know before this work of art to understant it better. That´s why many of us recommend you some songs while others recommend you just the most "shocking" performances.
Next time you can react to these videos of his signature songs with english subtitles, good image and sound:
    * Dimash - Greshnaya strast (Sinful passion) by A'Studio czcams.com/video/W9FlDMCo8LU/video.html
    * Dimash - Love is like a dream (Alla Pugacheva) czcams.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/video.html
Ave Maria means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions
Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano.
His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.

Dont know why they call it a cover of Ave Maria because there was nothing recognizable about it. To me, it was another scale exercise with a pleasant (new) melody for him to flex his vocal prowess on.
Dimash is a vocal master, i fully agree, but, I just dont like anything I've heard from him yet song wise. I'm still new to his performances having only listened to 4 now, so I'm hoping, to hear more and perhaps find some that do resonate with me.

Let me try to help you. I didn't know offense at what you were talking about when you said his voice was like a woman, many people make the comparison. However, truthfully that's impossible. Women's vocal cord structure and physiology is different from a man's, therefore they cannot sound alike. A woman's vocal timbre is totally different from a males. He is hitting notes in a soprano range that women can sing. Therefore, he sounds like a man singing notes in a soprano range.
