Dany’s facial expressions are fucking next level. Ale is in mega rock star mode. Pau.. well Pau is on steroids.

They played two songs, this was the second. No one knew them when they started, but by the end of this song everyone in that room was a fan. So many Warnings issued that night.
This is the best live performance of this song. Hands down. The girls go next level.

i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep)... two other milestones are 1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs, and 2) they were invited to perform while not being nominated for anything... that speaks volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years and, right now, most of that was while independent...
yes, they have been playing longer than 10 years but that includes while they were learning and starting to become proficient at their art and individual instruments... in a vlog they made a couple of years ago, Pau mentions that she has been drumming for 13 years... she was 19 at that time... that was 2 years ago... it is hard to believe, but quite obvious once you have watched them a few times, that they have been playing their instruments for 15 years and playing together as a band for 10 years... we won't even mention how this all started because of the game Rock Band 😹

The post-chorus hook in 7/4 sets this song apart form a lot of other rock offerings for sure. This was a special performance for them. Made some new fans for sure that evening.
The connection and synergy they have is truly remarkable. Each member is so in sync with each other. Lots of practice and immense talent needed to do this. Wow, simply incredible!

I absolutely love everything about this band. Their story is inspiring, you can watch their entire evolution from young children. Their talent, determination and extreme confidence at this young age is truly remarkable. Their voices, musicianship and songwriting are top notch. They come across as extremely humble. I saw them live about a month ago and it was fantastic. I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Great publicity for our girls playing "Evolve" and " More" on TV at the VMAs. They slayed both songs. Such a killer performance, exuding confidence and tremendous talent, they took control of the crowd and got them to join in and participate.

I like your bass-playing intro and your enthusiasm! The riff is in 7/4. Ale is a rock solid bass player. The first time I saw The Warning, I was maybe twelve feet away from her in a tiny club. Her playing was so perfect, I wondered if it was Memorex. Then , she made a mistake. My faith was restored and elevated.

I'm mesmerized by this band. Great songs and performing.
Very groovy funky bass playing. I used to think that bass is simple until I started struggling with b flat and e flat. Like everything else that’s worth a lot…. It’s not that simple lol.
The Warning never fails and they delivered BIG time at d vmas.
I’m sure The Warning army just got some new recruits.
They ROCK. They jam and they create this energetic and beatuful wall of sound that hits your soul.
They came. They rocked. They conquered.
A once in a generation phenomenon. I saw them live 8 weeks ago in Tijuana where they started with Disciple. Ale’s bass kicked me in the chest and knocked me over, then Pau beat me over the head with her drums and then Dany finished me off by slaying me with her guitar and vocals. Once you go down The Warning rabbit hole there's no way out, like Black Holes (which is one of my favorite songs of theirs).

The best version of any given song by The Warning is usually the most recent professionally recorded live performance. That's true in this case, beating out even Teatro Metropolitan. The really big thing to me is that Ale's backing vocals are finally high enough in the mix to add depth. There's a hint of that in Ugh from TM, but otherwise her backing vocals are not high enough in that version.
That fellow in the plaid shirt over a black T-shirt is a The Warning fan who managed to score a ticket (they were free, but you basically had to be young enough and lucky). He called out "Happy Dany Day" to Dany, which identified him as a TW core fan (Friday is Dany Day, Saturday is Pau Day, and Sunday is Ale Day, dating back to when they did things for fans on their day of the week), and she had him brought to the front. He did a vlog about his experience.

I´m kinda new to this Band know them for Years but have to dive in to their Rabbit Hole
Not a key change. But they play a rhythmically odd power chord sequence of rising minor thirds to end the breakdown. It sounds strange, especially the devil's chord - and this gives the impression of a key change. But after 4 times three half-steps they're back to the key.
Not many spot the 7/8 during the riff, because it's so smoothly done. So good call. It appears in the every beginning, after the first chorus and in the very end.
All in all there is a lot of weird stuff going on for such a seemingly straight rock song. Just great stuff.

At the end they went up a full diminished chord note by note from A - C - Eb - F# - A - C, and back to the main chorus in A Minor.
These girls use a lot of subtle yet sophisticated musical concepts in their songwriting. Their song Martirio introduced me to the concept of Chromatic Mediants when I tried to understand the theory behind what seems on its surface to be a fairly straight forward rock song.

I really don't why their albums are so easy to listen to over and over. Why there songs seem to reset and seem fresh each run through. They just do. Queen of the Murder Scene and Error both have that quality less so with XXI Century Blood though I have three songs on that album that just kick me in the head.

They actually dropped adiky with some ghost notes and you car it very People catch it, but there is a ghost note that's out of key that they write on throughout the song only for a few seconds.
A typical The Warning song has more changes than a the gearbox of a truck going up a mountain.
