Jesus said that”a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.Jesus spoke of one man and one woman marrying.

Wrong... marriage was never in the original writings. The woman was always spoken of as being covered or being the possession of a man. Jesus also said the man was one flesh with the prostitute, didn't make them a union..... one flesh isn't "marriage" one flesh just was an euphemism for sex

    Hi Sam
    What a great question.
Because there are many countries where their culture allows multiple wives, people believe it’s ok.
In the Old Testament God tolerated it.
In the New Testament it was said It wasn’t Gods original plan for a man to have multiple wives.
Jesus says in the New Testament
But I tell you, one wife one husband.
Thank you Sam for this video.
As always you have great content.
    See ya next one.

Jennifer hallo , in the old testament God used to tolerate it due to our hard headed or because of our starboness. As thanks much Jennifer 🤠

wrong Jennifer.... nowhere in the torah does it say god tolerated anything, that's christology, not scripture. in the prophets, Isaiah 4 tells you that 7 women will take 1 man, and in Jeremiah 31, God calls himself a polygamist by saying he had two wives, Judah and Israel.... in the greek testament, the 10 virgins.... Jesus takes 5 wives into the wedding chambers, so neither God or Jesus can do something that is sinful

      Jennifer.
God orchestrated Jacob having 4 wives creating the 12 tribes And Joash did what was right in the eyes of God and he was given two wives.
It’s not a sin. God never condemns it. God said he was married to both the house of Israel and her sister Judah.
Furthermore he calls men that had many wives as righteous. I don’t believe that God would call a man righteous who lives and dies in perpetual sin against Gods commands

    Deuteronomy 17:17
Biblically no limits in polygny as long as honourable and not in excess to where heart is turned away from God.
    Matthew 19:3-9
Now because of hardness of our hearts Law of Moses allowed No Fault Divorce however it was not so or intended in the beginning.

@@samongoro1059 if you ever get pushback back you can have your audience look into the council of Trent 1563 which used the conversation Christ had about No Fault Divorce to forbid polygny.
Also about the Greco-Roman goddess of jealousy and marriage; In the Greek culture known as Hera and the Romans called her Juno.
