Water is supposed to have a pH of 7, or neutral. 9.5 is basic. 12 is the pH of bleach. So diamond water is halfway between water and bleach
People do not get that a higher ph water does not do much since your body already adjust's its ph level maybe if you'r diet consists of a load of acidic food a higher ph water might be good to balance it out but its mostly all just fancy numbers on bottles to make people pay more

I don't think they realise that the reason the highest ph level of water on the market is 9.5 because any higher is actually dangerous. Alkaline is not a good thing in water, you want it to be at 7. lower is acidic and higher is alkaline, both are unhealthy in their own way.

Our blood is slightly alkaline and considering that acidity is the main danger on the pH level, slightly alkaline water helps regulate it. I know what you're talking about, you probably think I'm a shill for some water-machine company that advertises alkaline water as being the holy grail of health.
My answer is no, alkaline water is no miracle, but scientifically, slightly alkaline water, and I say slightly because 9.5 is bullshit, is better than neutral water and is certainly better than acidic water.

although there _is_ a big difference between pH 7 and 9.5, it's not _that_ bad per say. people comparing it to bleach at about pH 12 is not really an reasonable comparison at all, the pH scale is not linear, it's logarithmic; meaning (basically) as the pH increases or decreases away from the neutral point of 7 the corrosiveness increases by a different amount per increment/decrement in pH.
in short, comparing "water" of pH 9.5 (it's not water at that point lets be real) to bleach is as silly as comparing vinegar to stomach acid - we all know that vinegar is basically harmless to us, whereas stomach acid dissolves flesh (to an extent), despite the fact that they have very close pH values.
and ph abound 7 is usually more soap. for example i have to put soda ash in my pool to raise the ph between 7.2-7.8 but a little bit of wet soda ash feels like straight up soap
