Welcome to “The Cedars”, one of Church Hill Mississippi’s surviving ante-bellum plantation homes. Church Hill is unique in the South. Setting just outside of Natchez, Mississippi Church Hill is a community founded before the birth of our nation, which remains heavily intact. There are historic homes, commercial buildings and religious structures that are nestled in unblemished natural surroundings. It is in this landscape that we find The Cedars. This amazing historic home tour takes you on a tour through almost 200 years of construction. Begun in 1830 as a vernacular farmhouse this grand home evolved along with the fortune of her owners, transforming into a Greek Revival masterpiece by the middle of the 19th century.Unique to The Cedars, the evolution of the architecture remains pristine, clearly divided, and unmolested after 200 years of history. Travel with us as we give you a room by room tour of this architectural treasure. The landscaping adds another layer of interest and evolution, with the modern four sided infinity pool and modern pool house tucked just out of view of the main home, but only steps from the backporch. This amazing, historic property along with 40+ acres, a pond, a lake, original schoolhouse, landscaped grounds, pool and poolhouse are for sale for 2.995 million dollars. Are you the next caretaker of The Cedars?

You are absolutely fabulous and don't let any of those negative comments affect you. Those people are just a bunch of sickos. They are so jealous that someone is so much more talented intelligent and creative. Too many of my CZcams channels have been affected by these negative, let's call them a-holes. Oh my gosh I worked in retail years ago and some people are just horrible they have nothing nice to say. And they just get a kick out of trying to pull your chain if you can block them just block them if you can't or they come back under another name don't pay any attention to them and don't respond. I enjoy your videos so much thank you

They are the result of Mainstream News Media's "fostering the negative ideas" for their Profits and Power of Manipulation, Media is a Powerful Tool for Influence and the Public is so naive on how easily our minds are influenced, particularly when we don't know, and don't live with a habit of being "Conscious in Thought" + "applying the Higher Mind".
The Lower 9r Ego Mind is easily manipulated, its where all negative subjects reside and our fears and insecurities.
Easily observable in Social Media, "if we know, have been informed".
Note: many whom do it are actually doing it for a reaction, they enjoy the attention and some feed from the energies of the reactions.
We called these Narcissist Personality Disorder Traits, in my field, Sociology, and in Psychology.
It demonstrates an Adolescent state of Emotional Development, regardless of their Physical Age.
We recommend not reacting to their "baits", not letting those distract you from your positive state of Thought. The mature and Healthy State of Thought and Being.

Wonderful video! It would be awesome to see some sort of floor plan drawn out with these types of videos so we can really get a sense of the layout. Perhaps even an original floor plan and then a floor plan of the revised/remodeled layout from the renovations in the 1840s/50s/60s you mentioned. Not looking for a totally to scale architect’s rendering or anything like that, just simple layouts.

      @@OurRestorationNation
For your value of Editoral Perspective and FYI (Information), if I may:
      (1) Why does the Camera Person not show the "Points of Architecture" being defined?
That leaves the value of the Narrative, "undemonstrated" and can frustrate the viewer.
      (2) History and Design:
*Few to None had "in-house living quarters" for the enslaved, the exception was for a "Care-taker's Room" (a very small room with a bed, table, chair) for the Children and Nursey, or an Elderly Family Member, staff person.* This space, usually a "1 small room" was either/or: Upgraded to being called "the Sewing Room", or "Nanny's Room" in later years.
I can imagine some negative comments on the description, as the 3rd floor space has modern "Suites" renovations, *which are most attractive.* (It's an easy activation button for a judgemental voicing of rhetoric in the voices of the Public, fostered by Mainstream News Media's efforts to create chaos to support their Profits and Power of Manipulation.) (*)
Overall, this is a most worthy upkeep of the structure and property, with minor decor items that could be improved. However, it can be difficult to work with Modern Tech Pieces, like large TV's, into an Antique Architecture, particularly bedrooms.
TV's and Appliances are a Design/Decorator's challenge to conceal. Ideally "none" are to be visible.
Even Stove Top's, in a true successful design, are a point to cover, when/if possible. Kitchens with less noticeable appliances are truly a beauty to behold. The Clarity of a Visual Experience is the goal.
Sinks are an exception, as Porcelain is a Cermanic and offers beauty.
*"These are some of the Academic Values of Design and Decor."*
None are influenced by a "Judgemental Attitude", rather offered as "Information" for the subject. I recognize that the goal here is the Visual Enjoyment of History's Architecture and Historical Items, rather than Design/Decor Academics.
(*) My personal academic focus happened to include "Journalism, in the "Trio of Degrees", that may seem unrelated, but actually offered vast insight in our present era, (although not a planned point): Sociology, Journalism, and History.
On the (1) Subject, I happened to have been married into and I also came to own a "Production Company" with Stage and TV Productions, (a Music Magazine) thus the "Editing" share.
The Art and Design subject was/is a natural gift that I also studied in option choices aka "electives", classes in addition to the "required classes"
Note: Sharing this particular Video with a group that explores Homes/Properties in Georgia and Alabama, that are in varied states of decay to actual states of Archaeology.

I very much enjoy your tours of historic homes. I think you do a wonderful job as an historic narrator. I don't appreciate a lot of time spent on art as apposed to the building. Thank you

I used to own a plant stand like the ones on the large porch. It was wicker. Looks like those have been painted

@@alexbryson4277 No, we sure don’t own a pizza shop. But, we have started a church at a nearby park in our town. Today will be our second service. We are super excited to worship Jesus this morning. Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Jesus loves you!

Beautiful home and Laine perfect in front of the camera as usual. I’d be stumbling over words and getting all tongue tied and make a fool of myself! 😂

One of my distant cousins in Michigan that added on to the old farmhouse he bought kept all the wood windows that open into the additions.

It would take weeks just to clean all those windows. Beautiful, thanks for the tour.

This is beyond amazing, your knowledgeable approach to descriptions is marvelous. No mistakes. You are so talented and clever.
I wish we could buy one of these places. Even one that requires sweat equity. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home.
    Be well. LIZ
