  • Probably the last long video of this build, I rebuild the clutch and pull out the old Energy Transfer Ignition and replace it with an Electrex World Ignition Kit.

I rode Husqvarna for a lot of years...... the cursed points system drove me nuts. When they went to a solid state ignition I thought I'd died and went to heaven. I don't know how many times I had to throw my old Husky on it side in the mountains of Wyoming and readjust the points. You are definitely doing the right thing with the new ignition.....hot, reliable spark and no changes in timing. Also, getting the tension on the primary drive change just right(I rode Maico, too) is essential.....looking at the oil for metal is the crystal ball for knowing the condition of this chain.

very nicely shot..... you're good at getting the camera angle right and steady.... Really very useful. Looking forward to you doing a pre unit T100 (coz that's what I've got!)

It's interesting to see the internals of the 1967 crankcase as this is the start or the change of threads from Cycle to UNF and the modifications to the oil system. I also recommend the Electrics World pack. Always heat fasteners before tying to undo them !

Video was recommended by "Wheel house garage" you guys rock. One) What if i don't remove the original points plate on the timing side just disconnect the wires. Two) Will this Starter kit work on '77 TR7RV ?

Great video!! I am glad I found your channel.
I just started putting together a 1966 T100c. Did you buy the ignition kit directly from Electrex World or is there a stateside supplier?
Any information, part #, link would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know Classic British Spares is the only stateside reseller. I think I compared prices and it was about the same to order from Electrex World. They sell both kits for Triumphs.
