I say this as someone who has been a huge KISS fan since '76...but....... This is complete proof that so-called Country music, after the 1990s, has become no more "Country", than R&B has ever been Bluegrass.
What makes this even more ironic, is that during the MTV Unplugged performance that KISS did years ago...Gene actually made fun of Country music listeners.🤦♂️
Kiss actually had a big country hit in the 70's called "Hard Luck Woman" which was later covered by many people including Garth Brooks. But of course they're not a country band.
@@WinslowLeach1974 ACTUALLY hard luck woman was more of a pop style disco groove song which later Garth brooks was able to tune it a step down and turn it into a country song for his benefit to pay respect to KISS. H.l.w. was played during the disco era
@@chrisodom92 In all these decades I've honestly never heard HLW described that way. It's common knowledge that Paul Stanley deliberately wrote HLW in 'Rod Stewart'-style, or for Stewart himself depending on what story one believes, based on Rod's early 70s hits. Great song either way.
