    No wonder my Husky pours out oil. I gotta fix that, gas tank cracked and my blades wont engage. I might do it or let a local shop do all the repairs, Guy is SUPER reasonable and does good work. I'm working 7 days a week, and its hard to get to it. But you answered my Oil Leak question.

    If the oil it hot when you change it...doesn’t get quicker than that! Nice and simple BUT VERY EFFECTIVE AND IMPORTANT!

      @PullerbearEd  Před 3 lety

      Yes I agree, changing the oil hot is the best way to get it all out.

    Very nice job. I have the Husqvarna LGT 2554 with Kohler 25hp.
    I noticed mine is leaking now. I will measure and double check but it looks the same as yours. I bought my mower from Lowes 10 year's ago. It's held up really well. Thanks for sharing. John

    Looks like a good job. I put hydraulic lines on with a brass plug in the end that bends over the frame. My tractor just happens to have enough clearance to be able to use it. It's been over the side and works well to use with a drain pan. Looks like the same mower that my mother's got 54-in cut Husqvarna with a 24-25 horse Kohler in it luckily it hers is still working correctly but it will be changed out here in the future if it starts leaking. It's good to see the options that you can use to improve the oil drainage on these motors. And yes the plastics drains are junk I've changed out a few on Briggs and kohlers.

    • @PullerbearEd
      @PullerbearEd  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes I've used the hydraulic lines on some equipment also, they work well for hard to reach or poorly places drain plugs.

    That quick drain i think it's the worst thing someone invented as Sune as mine started to leak that's what I did I put a pice of pipe an elbow an a plug i has never leaked after that an it's not heard to un screw the plug. Thanks for the video

    • @PullerbearEd
      @PullerbearEd  Před 3 lety

      You are right it's not had to swap them out, on this engine I found that there wasn't enough clearance between the frame and the plug to get even a thin wall socket on it so I had to loosen lift the engine a bit. Thank you for watching.

    Great video, I've had good and bad luck with them. Rather have the pipe straight from manufacturers new.

    • @PullerbearEd
      @PullerbearEd  Před 3 lety +1

      I agree the pipe is a much better way of doing it but the quick drain is a selling point for some people.

    gasoil pipe sealant is good for plugs its super sticky and doesn't dry prevents leaks.
