As EVs are coming in the used car market it would be very interesting to have a video on what to be careful in buying a used EV and questions/tests/things to watch for during the buying process.

It has enough top end buffer, I.e. usable vs installed in the Taycans, probably won't hurt keeping it at low 90s% charge.
I always love the concept of taking your new car on a road trip very shortly after buying it. Allows you to really connect with the car! Excited to see that’s what you guys are going to do with this!
I picked mine up on a Thursday and my buddies and I left for a 500 mile roundtrip road trip the next day. The trip was already planned ahead of time, originally my buddy was going to drive, but when Tesla said delivery was scheduled for Friday I asked them if they could possibly bump it up a day and they obliged! Lucky timing, and I definitely had no complaints about driving as I was excited to. 😁

RWD is no problem in snow - just needs to handle it correctly. Seen plenty of them here in Norway during winter times - good tires is important though! 😄 Love the spec - great blue, but still understated.
I like the idea of no sunroof. But to get a full speced car they usually come with them. In Florida it isn't my favorite thing. Congrats Anna, I really like the way that it is speced. Just the right amount of good stuff. DON"T let Kyle talk you into lowering it. Making changes can cause unwanted problems.

That’s an awesome spec! RWD, Aero Wheels, big battery! I did not know you could add InnoDrive after purchase if the car already has ACC.

I'm a big E-Hybrid fan. Planning to go from a Pan4 E-Hybrid to a Cayenne E-Hybrid with the new 25.9-kWh battery pack. But I look forward to videos on your Pan E-Hybrid there, as well as on this new Taycan. And if you're buying a Taycan ST, I really look forward to lots of videos on that, as well! For serious road-tripping, the only EVs I can see really owning are the ones with 800-volt-plus architecture and 100-ish-plus kwH battery packs (or Teslas because of the supercharging stations, I say while holding my nose).
You say here you are dating this girl. Yet in other videos you act like you are in a relationship with Alyssa. Which is it?
I have a Model 3 LR and I hate the sun roof. I live in the tropics if you park it in the sun I goes into overheat protection in minuets. I put a max tint on the roof and have the Tesla Sun shades on all the time but it still overheats if I park in the direct sun. Enjoy your new (to you) Porsche Anna.

If your concerned about winter in Colorado.. definitely get the Nokian Tires.. but the other option is to keep you 2012 Civic, or get some other cheap winter beater car and drive that during the really bad days.
M3P owner here. She made a good choice imo. Love the Taycan! KW v3 and some tint ftw.

I have the '22 RWD big battery, highway range is more like 250 with the 21" 305s on the back. Fun car to drive gets a lot of looks. Muscle cars will wrap their mufflers when passing by.
When you say 250 highway range, at what battery charge amount were you starting at?

Congratulations on your Taycan purchase Anna. You got a nice deal. Mine was ordered just before the pandemic hit so it stretched out the delivery a bit. At that time the old EV tax credit was still in force so that helped pay for the big battery. I've had my 4 S for three years. So far so good. It seems to wear out the 19 inch all season tires regularly ( 12K on a front set & 24K on a rear set ). I also have the larger battery and was surprised to see that if you shut off the AC you can get another 30 miles of range which might be helpful if your are in a pinch. I use Innodrive all the time but with the speed limit feature turned off. The surround view is handy as the car is pretty wide. I mostly home charge my car. Personally I wouldn't mess with the suspension as Porsche spent many hours tuning the setup you have on your car. Enjoy

@@markpena6511 they are depreciating like many other 6 figure european cars. The market is slowly shifting back to the old days.
Check used Taycan prices. One of the first ones I saw was a 2020 Taycan Turbo S,which probably stickered for around 200K, on the used market for 110K with 6.5K miles.Mind you clean title and 2 owners. Not too difficult to find them.

I love to see the excitement when people fulfill their dream. My dream started at 7-8 years old and I still remember that feeling when I picked up my first Boxster at age 30.
Now driving a 2021 Taycan Cross Turismo with already 22,000 miles on it, I predict that you will love it, the way it drives, hugs the road, and the way it looks. I can never park mine without a quick look back and getting in my garage to drive it never fails to make me smile.

Great choice switching to Porsche. I've had my Taycan GTS for 3 months now and can't imagine going back to a Tesla. As much as I enjoyed my model 3, I couldn't justify the cost of upgrading to the model s compared to Porsche quality and trim. Enjoy!!

since driving one, admittedly I've been shopping (pricing mostly) used RWD Taycans here in the Northeast. my loaner had the big battery, but I want drive one with the small battery. granted it's no GT3RS, but even at 5020lbs with 230lb driver (yes heavily optioned RWD models can reach this mark) I was hard pressed to find fault in the Taycan's handling - other than I'd like see how it goes with less weight and no assist in direction changes from Rear Steer.

Love the solid roof spec. I was never a fan of panoramic roofs, plus increased risk of leaking over time.
Living in a hail area, panoramic glass roofs give me anxiety.
Us too. No glass roofs unless it has a shade. Some lines don’t.

Hard pass on Innodrive (but take them up on the trial). Def splurge on Active Lane Keep. The best thing about adding them after (rather than during the original factory build) is that you can separate them out.

Not many people directly cross shop these cars - likely it’s Model S vs Taycan - however Anna isn’t the first person I’ve seen make this decision. Surprisingly I know at least 5 people that went from Model 3 to Taycan or the other way around.

It's an amazing car on the track, but I wouldn't be able to live with its infotainment: all the tiny screens, clunky menu's, and slow response time compared to the Model 3's would drive me crazy
Idk if this is said enough but I really appreciate the transparency with the purchase price and specs of this car. I'm looking to get a taycan myself so it really helped me scope out a good price range

Congratulations on the Taycan, Anna!! I'm curious how did you get an unlimited miles warranty? I've never heard of that before. I just bought a Taycan CT 4S and would've paid to get an unlimited miles warranty but there was no such option offered by the dealer.
Just Certified Pre Owned (CPO'd) Mrinal. CPO is Porsche's used car warranty they tack onto their used cars that make the cut. (but they add a few grand to the price).
Talking about living vicariously through someone, I'll probably never get to step foot in a Porsche dealership in my life so that was cool to see haha.
