Apps to Use for Digital Planning on the Samsung S22
OneNote is a powerful free application that allows you to sync across multiple platforms: Samsung Note, Windows and Apple computers, etc. I generally use my phone for reading my notes or jotting down quick notes, and OneNote is great for on-the-go note-taking. It's easy to add, move, and highlight text on-the-go. You can also type notes.
NoteShelf is a PDF Annotation app. Hyperlinks are a powerful tool in this application (and most PDF annotation apps) and allow for easy navigation. In the Key2Success Planner, start with the Key Page and from there you can navigate throughout the planner, for example. Also easily "pinch and zoom." Organize using multiple books and pages.
Samsung Notes allows for the functionality of NoteShelf, including hyperlinks, highlighting, typing, writing, navigation, etc. (Pro Tip: There is awesome functionality and collaboration with SamsungTab8. We'll unpack that new device coming up soon!) The little things make Samsung Notes stand out, including the eraser options, ability to insert images and voice recordings, and ease of creating text boxes to type in the planner. Write-to-type is also a huge feature. If you write in the Samsung Note, it can convert to text.

Samsung Notes is so underrated. Even on just a phone alone is good, because it doesn't get in your way, it's not unnecessarily complicated, but can be feature rich if you have an S Pen or a tablet.

I've been debating for a week now if the Ultra was worth the extra cost over the plus. This video has definitely made me want the Ultra. I've struggled with the tension of loving note taking, but needing it to be digitalized. I've tried everything from Rocketbook to typing everything. This truly seems to be the best of brining it all together. Thanks for this!

I've been an iPhone user for at least 13 years. Samsung S22 Ultra is first phone that might make me switch. I decided to go 100% digital for note taking. I've got a Remarkable 2, and switched to Supernote A5X. Samsung S22 Ultra is ticking more checkboxes for me to ditch my Supernote and have note taking on my phone. The ability to take pen out and immediately start taking notes is another game changer for digital note taking.

Nice vidéo! But for me samsung s22 ultra screen is to small for writing. I bought Ratta Supernote Ax 5 e ink tablet and this is a beautiful companion of my phone and it is a better writing expérience. And the tablet samsung for writing give me to much internet applications distractions so that's Why I prefer ratta supernote.

I am not so sure on the answer to this. I haven't used Evernote in a few years and through an online search I wasn't able to confirm one way or another. Do you use pdf planners or files with hyperlinks in them?

I still have my note 20 ultra and love it. Once it is time to upgrade I intent to go to the fold or the s ultra series. As a former Apple user, I can't believe it took me so long to find the note series.

The notes will sync across both of your current devices. However if you want the feature where you can use your phone as a toolbar then yes. Personally I donât use that feature enough to justify the upgrade solely.

With Samsung's partnership with Microsoft, there is an option to link Samsung Notes and Onenote. I just haven't been able to make it work yet.

Samsung Notes also allows to record audio and keep in sync with the hand written writing, so that when you click on the written stokes, it plays back the audio recording that instant onward. This feature is what attracts me the most. Is there any other app that has this feature?
yes that is a very powerful feature. The only other app that comes close is onenote that allows you to bookmark the timeline as you take notes.

Honestly the best way to do this would be to open your Samsung notes app, copy the text and then past the text in onenote application. Go to your MacBook and open onenote and pull out the copy.
I see you're a big OneNote user. Does the S-pen only supports taking notes and converting to text with Samsung Notes or can I use it with third party apps like OneNote?
So there is a couple of ways to confirm hand written notes. You can write them and then move to the desktop app and convert them to text or you can write to text with the s pen.

I did't stop using it. Matter of fact my z Fold3 is still my daily driver, but I had to try out this new device. I think for those that are looking for a leading phone / camera system first, this is the product. If you want a device that is large for note taking and media viewing, the fold is for you.
Do you like the samsung or apple system better... curious to know if you daily device is an apple or the samesung considering your apple Watch.
My daily driver for note taking is the Samsung fold 3. I however am in the creative space is apple runs my life with that said I do have a iPhone. If I was looking for an device just for note taking and productivity it would be a fold 3, s22 or any note.

Can the digital planners sync with Outlook or Google Calendar?

Hey Branden, great video! I've used the system on OneNote exclusively for a while. I'm assuming that the Samsung Notes app uses the PDF/Goodnotes version of the planner? Any big differences in user experience between the two that are worth noting? Something you can do in OneNote but not in the PDF version of the planner? I'm not too worried about the cross platform usage...Windows is adding ability to use Android apps natively. Maybe a good video for the future? Using maybe Samsung Notes across phone, tablet and Windows computer? Thanks for any feedback!
Great question. I am not confident in saying that the Samsung notes app will be available for Windows. My guess is yes, but it is an app for Samsung not android. I don't know if it is available in the google play store. As for the comparison, there is a number of more functions available in the Samsung Notes app on the phone. But overall OneNote as a whole has more features when you get to your desktop. Keep in my at this time there is not a Samsung Notes desktop.
@@bodendorfer you can install Samsung notes on any Windows device laptop using a workaround through Microsoft Store. There was a good article that explained it. Search it. And yes, unfortunately Samsung Notes is only available on Samsung phones đ
The Samsung notes app for me is available in the Microsoft store. Though I had it installed before updating to Win 11. But asif right now on Win 11 it's in the Microsoft store.

Only think I hate that is missing in Samsung Notes is the ability to hyperlink pages.... I'm fully into the Samsung eco system but the inability to create hyperlinks so that I am able to jump from one page to the other is frustrating... Unless it can be done and I'm missing something?

Yes, if you have a hyperlink in the note page, you can click on it and it will navigate you to that note. And you can create hyperlinks to new pages by using the [[text]], that we have featured in our onenote hyperlink video.
When i change my home or Lock Screen wallpaper Noteshelf started glitching and my Samsung calendar getting some delays updating or jumping to another month the widget. I had to restart the apps. Is this the same for you? Or anyone? perhaps i have a faulty device?
Never ran into that. You may want to check to see if you have an update available. Also make sure your planner is backing up to the cloud in the event you need to delete and reinstall the application.
I mean, One Notes (and one drive etc) sounds like what you wanna have, but my one notes in my Samsung S22 ultra just doesn't show the same notes i have in my old huawei phone, or in my pc, i'm logged in and all so idk wth i'm doing wrong, just want a clean simple solid app to use for notes =(

Is the 6.8 inch Samsung s22 screen sufficient and a pleasure to write on? I'm hesitating on the fold and the s22 ultra
I believe itâs just fine for quick notes and planning. However the larger screen of the fold is for sure preferred if you plan to journal.

The only thing i see when i open onenote on s22 ultra is the colored pens, highlighters, erasers. I don't see anything like what you are showing here. do you have advice on how to open some of those other features.

Onenote recovery from evidentially delete note is very difficult. have tutorial?
Did you delete the whole notebook or just notes and pages in a notebook. You should be able to go into the recycling bin and recover notes, you can also show page versions and see previous notes.
I take notes on my Galaxy A52s which has similar size to this note and is just as capable. Note series doesn't make much sense in 2022 as pretty much every phone is a phablet these days and are just as capable for simple note taking.

Everything's wrong.
It is better to have a notebook. Either way, drive a car, or have a bag for a small 1kg notebook.
Only towards the notebook should you attach the little ones telephone like a communicator.
There is no such thing at the moment.

The Samsung S22 Ultra is a great phone for the present. It gives you the ability to take Notes and organize your time.
I like how this system expands the use for notes on the s22 ultra, which I just got through my carrier, but I am unsure whether to use samsung notes or one note for this. samsung notes is shown in the microsoft store on my windwos 10 home pc but I cannot install it.
Yes it is available in the store, however for one reason or another the app has not be updated and you can no longer download it. Some people whom have the app from a previous time ago say it works just fine. With that said, for people whom want to text out OneNote and Samsung Notes. Once you place an order for one of them, send us an email within 5 days and we will happily add the other product to your order at no charge for first time users.

What do you think of Google Notes?
Google keep like most Google apps is a simple version but effective enough to keep you I. The Google apps ecosystem. However there is so many apps that take so much best advantage of the stylus and writing tools of many devices. I personally would not recommend using Google keep.

You can do most of this right in the calendar app. Don't see a reason for a 3rd party app.
A calendar app just schedules your time. It doesnât help you plan your life, by helping establishing your goals, action steps while improving your habits and developing your skills. Until you use a planner, you will never fully understand the power behind the system. Electronic calendars are just goof at blocking off time you will never get back. One doesnât look at those time blocks as investments like you would if you planned them.
@@bodendorfer Maybe I'm wrong. But aren't you doing the same thing with a planner? You're just putting in dates and times to get a task done? I've never used a planner. I've just put everything in my calendar. I might give OneNote a try to see if it works for me.

Yeah I take lots of notes. I have found that by writing out my thoughts I am better connected to the message and have a much easier time retaining the word. I want to spend more time getting to know the Bible however I am a poor reader. So yeah. Just spilled the tea. Thanks for the message.
