I can't be the only one that LOVES the fact that this is the one and only time Shiva appears as a summon and Noct isn't shivering helplessly. Instead, he bears the cold and stands with them.

This Ifrit is by far the best form of this summon. Goes back to the roots of his legend with that look. Also... Shiva... As badass as always !

5 years later I can tell you, familiarize yourself with Islamic religion. This Ifrit (and any of the other FF summons) does not look anything like the true Ifrit from the roots of it's "legend".

One of the best fights in all FFs hands down. The music, the atmosphere, and FF prelude theme when he gets kissed by Shiva sends chills through my spine every time I watch this.
Play the other ffs first before making that statement ff15 was ok but I don’t truly believe that it was a good fight but not the best in my opinion in ffs games. For ff15 it is probably the best fight in the game.
@jose perez I have, but I see your point. This is more of a scripted fight. But as far as scripted this is one of my favorites but of course all is subjective.
Final fantasy 16 is my first final fantasy and I’m getting every final fantasy video there is.
This fight is so great. The music really tells a story and the ending is beautiful. Shiva really loved Ifrit and to fell him again must be heartbreaking. Here’s hoping he reforms with his original love for humanity.

So based on the actual backstory of this, bahamut actually killed Ifrits larger body in the past. And yet, ifrit just dances around his attack in his smaller form.
Smaller form=more maneuverability? Just a thought

Too bad the whole game didn't reach that level of quality... This fight is one of the most epics moments I've lived in a game.. my whole life..

i still find it weird how he was doing all those acrobatic flips but when you fight him he's a giant slow boss.
I mean he really doesn't have to do all that for some humans when he can just send waves of flames toward them or slash with his sword. Simple attacks like that can oneshot you in this game.
Shiva's part is like a musical definition of what Final Fantasy is...
That whole montage after you beat Cerberus did that for me, just beautiful 😪

I know a lot of people didn't like this installment in the series but the game really is quite good. I have played them all and while there isn't as many summons they more than make up for it with how damn awesome and powerful they actually are. Loved this game from start to its absolutely epic and beautiful ending.

PenguinsAreColdish thought i was one of the few who got that aerial fight even though for me he grabbed me and jumped into the air and we fought until i pulled a mk vs dc stage transition and knocked him to the ground. kinda sad i missed out on the whole tag team quick time event from the backstreet boys

Since we had to put up with Shiva being the only 'sexy humanoid' for almost every FF game. It's time those of us that actually appreciate the male body got a bone throne to us...although he could be sexier IMO.

Because game developers are like ignorant doting parents who have a 'favorite child' so to speak, and spoil said child like crazy, showering it with all kinds of attention (fan-service) while mostly or outright completely ignoring what the other child wants. It shuns a great deal of it's fan base because it thinks it needs to cater to only one or at least, mostly one. Straight men will never fully understand just how fucking catered to they are when it comes to the media and entertainment industry.

That Bauhaumat (spelled it wrong I know) summon was really cool. The Ifrit parkour I found a little awkward, but when Bauhaumat looks at Noctis and he just understands, it's so cool
Plus, the music at 6:11 is so good, then the transition to the Shiva music was really nice

This part was sooooo epic when I first encountered it. A true masterpiece, sad that this game got such a bad rap based on all the DLC but they made it up for me, almost.....

It was just so great and epic how the game started off like this, it’s literally what gave the game such a drive and interest to keep playing to see how it got to that point
Some of the best graphics for the summons period!! I wish we could've had a little more time with Bahamut but I love it either way!!!!

6:15 the music was getting lit and, I look at ifrits HP, then im like "HOW?!?1" that fight took me a lot longer than 7 minutes...

Leviathan was the peak/climax of the story, the tension was carried well all the way through to the battle with Ardyn, but then the battle with Ardyn is underwhelming (at least because of the battle system in the game (I had all characters at level 120 with high stats, lots of great weapons and gear, etc.)). On a second playthrough, I smacked him around with the Arminger Unleashed and it only made me feel a little better being able to utilize the break damage limit moveset in that form.
So... they have Shiva *wink wink* ;D

Love it. In ff8 you defeat Ifrit at the beginning and he becomes your Guardian slave. In FF15 you fight him at the end and he picks you up like: "What are you trying to do... fight me?" and chucks you away- lol.

This took me 2 hours and I kept going to the building top. From there you can air battle him and if you win, you knock him down to the ground.
the way Shiva got Ifrit was straight Savage, froze him then turned him into nothingness.

the English VA is very different from the Japanese though (especially if you actually understand Japanese like me). Not just the voices, but what they say (translation) and HOW they say it. Imo a lot got lost in that translation.
The first time I fought iFritt, well it was easy but was didn't know how to summon a God. All I do is running around while iFritt is attacking the gang. I know what's first timers feels like.

Uh technically not in the Royal edition, you have three other boss fights against the fierce, the rougue and the mystic in the castle before you face ardyn

I had to check the pronunciation of Ifrit after playing FF16. How did I not notice before it's pronounced if-reet and not If-rit
I always wondered why noctis went for the horn instead of his head, he could of finished him if he did. Not only that there all surprised that it didn't do anything but piss him off. its akin to a midget coming at you and just clipping your nails, of course it ain't gonna hurt you.
