Man. I hope you know how much we all appreciate you pumping out these consistent, amazing videos for free. I for one have my day brightened every time you upload. Goth bless, amen

Your videos have made the past 2 years so much more bearable thank you so much.
I agree bruh
No matter what I’m always pumped by the intro. Even as it’s changed it’s stayed just as awesome 10/10
you can search videos of human females jumping if thats what pumps you up
Yep love this intro and the old one.
The first time I saw it I was like "This is bad, I hope he doesn't use it in every video."
Now I'm bobbing my head and resisting the urge to sing along in a cringe inducing manner.
I love all your reviews man , the most consistent reviewer I've ever seen . I've re-watched your Deus Ex and Manhunt videos a bunch of times .
Where a cop turns into a uhhhhh computer?
thanks dood!
@@GrimBeard BUT SERIOUSLY YOU DA BEST
I think I am on my 13th viewing of many of these reviews. They are just endlessly watchable.
@P R Grimbeard and Mandaloregaming have an extreme talent for information mixed with humor. I can't tell you how many times I've watched his Arx Fatalis video.
Wow that "removing all hamburgers from Russia" thing really aged well
To be fair, the "Pax McDonald" is considered a real phenomena, as the US has NEVER invaded any country with a McDonald's franchise, even so far as people joking that the only reason the US invaded Iraq wasn't to find WMD's, but to make sure McDonald's gets their first restaurant there in 2006.

I love all the characters in these reviews, Chad, ParaPug, Ghost of a Victorian Child, they all bring a lot to the table.
I miss "game is good" voice. It just delighted me
I'm so glad to see Chad make a return
It's nice to have friends.
Or frenemies.
or... just like somebody to talk to.
Chad's the key to everything
I think we can all agree Chad is an allegory for Jesus dying for our sins
@@dustburnwem also anal sex
Chad is a member of my congregation. Nice guy, just a little blackmaily.
44:29 Mega-twist! I coulda sworn you were gonna say he was 3 episodes of the X-Files.
I always love dystopias that deal with organs. Such a weird and human thing for a technofuture to focus on. Incredible work.
The shelving is on the left of the desk now.
In videography, placing a character on the left half of the screen reflects them being in a dominate or confident condition.
The dragon (?) statue (?) lives on the shelf.
Stay strong, Mr Beard. We're all rooting for you.
Holy shit, that rat kill absolutely destroyed me
This game is really something special
"Nice bodywork...for a relic. Maybe later you could relic my ballbag."
This iteration of the intro is a fucking masterpiece
You're the only Stimulator I need Grimbeard.
Genuinely had never heard of this game before. As usual Grim is great at exploring forgotten games!
It's definitely a hidden gem, Great music, Metal gear type gameplay combined with RE type puzzles. You should check it out if you have the chance it's worth it =)
If you were a 90s kid, one look at the box art would immediately remind you of rental stores that had a bajillion copies of this game. Also made the rounds in PSM.
Lol the part about taking the burgers away from Russia aged like wine.
Yeah, if anyone still had doubts about us living inside a wacky dystopian video game, this should settle it.
@@TheHalflingLad I just came to make this comment
They didn't really get a chance to get into McDonald's. Only 35 years it was open there
The main character of this game looks exactly like the main character from Ride to Hell: Retribution.
It's like those meth: before and after headshots
Absolutely nailed the McDonalds withdrawing from Russia. Stranger than fiction.
*screen goes black for several moments*
"Surely now we'll get to play the fucking game"
Thanks for your hard work, Grim, great review!
“Don’t trust anyone you don’t know, and right now you don’t know anyone…” Slade immediately throws all his chips in with the next person to walk in the door.
Well, thanks for turning me on to Glam Metal Detectives. That was a blind spot in my 90s BBC comedy knowledge.
The guard getting the wind knocked out of him got me pretty good.
My man Grim pulling out the Syphon Filter comparison. I knew there were other fans out there.
PS1 Syphon Filter was awesome!
Your videos are the ones I always look forwards towards and prioritize. You are the GOAT, Gothgamer King!
It's true
Grim is one of those youtubers that you always have a smile on your face seeing pop up in your notifications
Yeah you're right, that part about the "US threatening to withdraw all hamburger restaurants from Russia" did actually work out in a way since McDonald's closed there.
You’re jokes, style, and editing are all top notch
21:41 - the way you say "oooo can't breath" gets me every time
"Unaware that some years later Konami would eliminate the need for an MGS-killer" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 1:30 in and the burns are already sickkkk
I bought this game from a best buy in 2003. It was on sale so I was like yeaa why not. The game was alright, and had some interesting aspects. I have never forgotten this obscure game and its dystopian futurist atmosphere. 11:13 well, that aged well.
Good to see a new grim review
good to see you, dino friend
Best game reviewer working right now. Love all of your vids and have watched your backlog like 2 times.
Welcome back gothlord
your return warms my black heart
"Look at his black heart, how it still beats!"
Thanks for another great video, I really like your content and your dark vibe. It's quite unique and makes your videos special for me.
As for the video, the first thing I thought when I saw the name is:
One, you lock the target
Two, you bait the line
Three, you slowly spread the net
And four, you catch the man
Oh dang, I totally remember seeing this on TV as a kid. It was this late night video game show where they played some PS2 games and maybe reviewed them. This and Echo the dolphin were the two games they were able to play before the show was cancelled.
Ecco is a weird gem of a series.
“Withdraw all hamburger franchises from Russia” we live in a reality where this has happened
genuinely one of your best vids yet! i kinda never want chad to go away
The only thing that could have improved my friday was a new upload from Grimbeard....and here it is. I love you.
"The US is threatening to withdraw all Hamburger franchises from Russia". My mirth is barely contained, and my day is made.
(Also, you have the most consistently great background soundtrack anywhere.)
It always gets me in a good mood to see a review from you. I love your edits and your music always gets me pumped. You put in so much hard work and it shows. Can't wait to see what you do next.
THAT CASIO WATCH WOW
this game used to blow my mind back in the day, along with shenmue and other DC titles. but I wasn't good enough to pass first couple missions, only did it 5 years ago with ps2 version. Still really enjoyed this little gem of a game! and the music theme while driving the motorcycle is badass.
thanks for this review, as always you rock ❤
I god damn love this channel.
I am so happy to see a proper 1 hour video on Headhunter. Grew up playing this game in my Childhood and quite literally replayed it a few days ago. Love ya for covering it
The 'shoot people!' bit had me in tears. 😂 I'll never tíre of your dark sense of humour dude.
9:53 I died. Excellent content as always Grim, you deserve way more recognition for the quality you put into your work
Nice, this was the first game I played on PS2, I remember the graphics blew my mind at the time. Kind of like the way the world-building and atmosphere of Dreamweb blew my mind when I was a kid... Thanks for another great upload.
This is so trippy, i had an inexplicable urge yesterday to listen to the headhunter bike ost and how much it reminded me of robocop and now you upload this
it's a sign!
I've been slowly making me way through your backlog of videos from the beginning and I gotta say, this is the funniest episode I've seen so far, was legitimately losing it laughing so many times lmao
Been binge watching you for a couple of weeks. Love you reviews.
Always makes my day/week/month when we get a new goth gamer blessing. Time to watch once and play in the background 36 times.
I remember reading about this game so much in "The Official Dreamcast Magazine". Was always bummed I never got to play it, but it is ALOT different than from what they described.
Wish I still had those old magazines to throw a couple quotes in from them, just to see how it differed.
Best intro in the game. And overall one of the best channels on CZcams. We all love you, Grim.
Always a good day when Grimbeard drops a new video.
Goth gamers at the ready!
Good god that worldbuilding - that setting seems more dire than most horror games I've played.
I was so happy when I found your channel. Ma vibe bro.
pls no stoppy
Not only are you the only youtuber that I've watched every single video for, but I've watched these reviews multiple times. You are a damn comedic genius
This is the first video ive ever seen from you and you got yourself a new sub. This is a well written and funny video about a game ive never heard of and i cant wait for more.
Broke my wrist a few weeks ago so I haven't been able to play anything so I've been vicariously playing them via your reviews.
I've watched most of your videos and will probably do it again! Keep up the amazing work
Loved your vids for years, always delighted to see a new one, and wondered about this game since I was a wee boy - but ultimately I'm driven to comment because I never in a million years expected a DOE ad to crop up in one of my beloved videogame youtubes and it had me in stitches lmao. Keep well and thank you!
That game informer joke was so perfectly delivered and timed that I actually spit out the yogurt I was eating. Like across the room.
Re-watching this, Grim.
Don't stop making videos, you are quickly growing to become my favorite content creator even more so than Accursed Farms, and I'm fanatical of that channel.
Maybe it's because all your skits remind me of my own life in a morbid way lmao.
Man I used to see this as a kid on loads of ps2 demo content and magazines, being too young to play games like this and MGS2 at the time, it’s such a cool nostalgia blast to see all this imagery again. Awesome vids!
I always love how each intro is new and badass
I loving that the credits section is becoming a meme all of its own. Some of those names are brilliant - "Now do Castiel. SAMMY!!!"
Grim's uploads are like the offbrand tubs of ice cream that you forgot about after putting them in the freezer.
They're not on your mind all of time but when you notice them, you smile and think "nice, I think I'll have some".
For me he's like the extra special kind of ice cream that I can only find at one specific store but I don't get out to that store that often. When I do get there, that ice cream makes my fucking day, all the toppings are just the best perfect combo unlike any of the others, but it's over before I know it and it'll be a while before I get it again
@@Th3Raz96 absolutely. for me, he's like that one ice cream that's ALWAYS sold out, no matter how often you go to the store. you could check back day, after day, after day, after day, and never find what you're looking for. but in that single moment when you start to despair and think you'll never get it again? boom, there he is!
and it's like the first time all over again. again.
@@we-must-live I like your metaphor better 👍
Love your games reviews/analysis. Cheers !
Keep doing what you're doing, love your content.
Great review! I remember playing this when it came out. It had cinematic appeal, in spite of the gameplay that we knew was clunky even back then. The driving sequences somehow made it more immersive to me. Like the Shenmue games, it was a mundane task that added some illusion of realism. I don't think it holds up, but for its time, an admirable effort
it's a crime how undersubbed this channel is. it's so funny and actually really informative
Glad to see you upload. Great content as always
Glad as always to see more of your content.
Hope the move ends up being a good one!
I know that the character of Solid Snake was based on the character of Snake Plisken, but the main character of Headhunter seems like a character I could imagine a young Kurt Russell playing.
That boss fight with Adam looks very similar to the one in the first Resident Evil. The one where you have to fight Tyrant after Wesker gets impaled. They even look similar in character design.
I'll never forget, the motorcycle driving in this blew me away back then
I'll never forget playing Headhunter on it's original platform (DC), loved Jack Wade despite the fact he was a blatant Clint Eastwood rip-off and while the gameplay is dated, the soundtrack is still a thing of beauty. I've heard the main theme repurposed countless times.
I absolutely love and respect you went back through your footage to see where the poor rat became collateral damage.
I remember buying this for the Dreamcast back in the day after reading about it in magazines, I was super hyped for it's release but like you it just didn't click with me and I never went back to it. I'd love to see you review the sequel as I never even knew it had one.
The humor you have is top notch especially with Chad Denton. Keep up the solid reviews and humor
You're one of the few people around who makes me laugh consistently. Thank you thank you thank you
Very happy to see the return of J.Chad Denton.
This channel officially has the best intro in all the tubes.
Hey bro. I know I haven't commented in a while, things have been crazy. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for making these videos that I have enjoyed every since the early days, the Diary Days. I still will go through your whole catalogue about once every month or so, because your humor just cracks me up. You've helped me get through a lot of shit with your vids bro. That I appreciate.
So that call on the burger thing was basically spot on.
Really enjoying your format amigo.
This is the first video of years I've seen and I'm very impressed, making me laugh, well done!
I only remember this game for the Dreamcast. Ur videos are some of the best out there just so you know.
I'm dropping a like even before watching it, my childhood game.
Edit: would you consider reviewing part 2?
Whoa how did i miss this ?! One of the best channels on YT. I said it before but you got at least one fan from Trinidad!
I'm starting to notice a pattern. Grim reviews the games I remember seeing all the time, picking up and looking at, then putting them back down again and going on my merry, oblivious way. I remember seeing this game on the shelf at the at video rental store down the street from my house all the time. I gotta say, for box art it's clean and simple. You get guy with glasses who is cool, says it all right there on the cover.
YES HE'S BACK
I get a lot of Demolition-D in your delivery. Keep up the good work.
I thought your segway into Story said Sorry, because the previously joke was that bad.
Great video as always, thanks for doing what you're doing.
You brought back so many good memories me on my Dreamcast ! Thanks!
Thank you for another awesome in depth look at something I had no idea existed!
4 minutes into this hour long video and I already know i'm subscribing. Nice.
Glam Metal Detectives!
They actually released a single, its the Theme song. The B Side was a cover of the Osmonds "Crazy Horses" :)
I absolutely love your new shtick of subtly and sometimes not so subtly altering the cutscenes.
Love ya buddy! I remember seeing this game back in the day and thinking the guy on the cover was Stephen Baldwin. Like it was a game that licensed his image and he voice acted in. I still thought that until this day. Stephen Baldwin.
I remember seeing advertisements for this game in OPM and claiming that it looked like the coolest thing ever made.
I was like 9. ♥️
Dude I watched all your videos and have been waiting in anticipation for a new one. I played this game myself at launch....old.....keep it up man....
