The zip can’t close while in the backpack mode so yeah water could get in, but that compartment doesn’t come in contact with the inside of the bag and the waterproof lining in between would in theory protect your belongings. To be fair tho I haven’t tested this in heavy rain
@@RK-um9tu I think the question is if you are on the go and it’s starts raining if the bag can withstand some rain before you can go inside and not for the intend to go outside in the rain on purpose.

Hey! I am so glad you enjoyed the review! This bag doesn’t have a specific bottle holder compartment unfortunately. Now with that being said you can store the water bottle maybe in the outside or inside compartment, just note that this bag stays pretty flat meaning it’s not very flexible, but a smaller water bottle should be fine.
This had me disappointed. It looks great, except the fact it’s so slim that sticking in a 16oz Nalgene looks iffy. Otherwise I love the three way carry.
@@RealMuperSan yeah it’s pretty slim so I would recommend one with an outside water bottle pouch - or if you still want something slim check out the Alpaka Metro backpack - that one has an inside water bottle pouch ( don’t forget to use the discount code lol if you end up pulling the trigger on one ;) )
