      You what's going to be the Glock killer is Glock it's self. Still the same plastic sights, poor trigger, and overpriced for what you get. Both these guns are what a Glock should be. Instead everyone I know with a Glock has changed the trigger and sights . So pay $600 for a gun then put a couple hundred more in to it?🤔

    The M&P 2.0 Compact is a "Toss it in my coffin" gun. I've never heard of anyone not liking the CZ though. I jus don't run a ton of different guns. Maybe back at the beginning of carrying a gun I went through a number of guns. I carried a Glock 19/23 for well over a decade (closer to 2). So changing to anything else is hard to do. The 2.0C is the first gun I've been excited about since buying my first (G33) Glock 18yrs ago. I see all these guys making comparison videos with all the new pistols and changing what they carry every couple months from a Sig to Glock to CZ to Smith to HK to Walther to whatever... I did some of the same when it was new to me. If you're rolling in money then great but most folks have to save up to buy a $500 gun. People are definitely more well informed now on guns. The internet has helped that a ton. Thanks for the video brother.

    I want to thank you for all the reviews of 9mm striker fired guns including the M&P and P10c. Went to a range near me yesterday and rented 6 9mm guns and the P10c came out on top with the M&P and PPQ in a close race for second, followed by the VP9, FNS, and in dead last the Glock 17. For me the trigger, amiability, and the grip comfort are perfect. My only concern is living in communist NJ is the availability of 10 round mags, which are available, unlike the FNS. Going to pick up the P10 next week. Thank you.

    Great video as always. Is there any difference between S&W's "Armornite" finish and the old Melonite ? Why the change ?
    I never understood why people get bent when they slap in a fresh mag and the slide automatically goes into battery. That's like your tv turning itself on and tuning to your favorite channel whenever you sit on your couch.

    • @SerenGetter
      @SerenGetter Před 6 lety +1

      The problem is that its not always reliable, the auto-forward is caused by hitting the grip really hard, not because of the magazine, so if you bump it before fully seating it won't pick up a round or it might malfunction

    • @KW-cq4yr
      @KW-cq4yr Před 6 lety

      The armornite suppose to be a tougher finish over melonite only time will tell just like Glock on gen 5 they redid finish because the gen 4 finish doesn’t hold up as good as there older models. Plus it’s probably another selling point

      Yup. I had a P10c and an M&P 2.0 full size (pretty sure the compact feels similar in the hand) and if I had to pick one it would have been the M&P, too. My biggest gripe is that I have trouble calling the P10c a CZ as it has none of the positive attributes that I loved about my old CZ75; I wanted a CZ, not a Glock Gen 6. They are both gone as the family all agreed they liked the P320 compact and full size better than either. I also kept the VP9 because it was my own personal favorite by just a hair.

    I just bought the M&P 2.0 compact. Before I fired my first shot, my 5'2" 102 lbs girlfriend was able to drop the slide using the slide released left handed. (She's right handed). She was able to drop the slide. But it wasn't easy for her.

    I own and love both. I will say that the M&P has a slighty lighter recoil over the P10c. Both are deadly accurate. I stick 3" splatter pasters on all of my steel tatgets and fire away at 20 yds. the pasters only last a few seconds with these two.

    I have the CZP10C and the S&W MP2.0c as well and a Gen4 Glock. I like how the CZ feels but had multiple stove pipe failures straight out of the box (after initial cleaning and oiling). Sent in for warranty work, got it back and have not had another issue but still regaining trust in it. The Glock just loves to eat anything I throw in it. Only complaint, it is uncomfortable compared to the other 2. The S&W has tough grips and after a while can cause irritation but I love it and trust it as much as the Glock.

The difference between it and the P10C is minuscule, though. All are stock except for the sights (all the same Trijicon sights). For my money you can't go wrong with either the Smith and Wesson or the CZ. The Glock 19 is great, but it's definitely coming in third, for me.

  • @WayWardProductionz

    Three big reasons I went M&P instead of glock
    1: USA made
    2: Trigger, great breaking stages and almost necessary to change out your trigger unless you're a fan of Flat Triggers.
    3: No need for Kydex on the pistol out of the box, scalloping on the slide is perfect where on some pistols it's an add-on (Sig 229 Legion for example versus their original 229)
    Accessories are readily available, mags are decent price, universal holsters tolerate them greatly, and the backstrap replacing means I can quick change out from a fat, chunky grip during range shooting to a medium size carry grip ( I practice with both, but prefer the medium for carry)

    My P-10c is my new favorite carry gun! Especially with a more comfortable HB Industries trigger, which according to Mr. Lyman, pulls at only 4.25 Lbs average. And the P-10c (after several thousand rounds) auto-loads routinely.
    The M&P 2.0 has a better stock trigger than the stock M&P 1.0(?) and more comfortable than the stock P-10c, but S&W lost my purchase because of the way it would not auto-load. I now only have 5 M&P 1.0's all of which auto-load nicely during competition reloads. Necessary to fix S&W's typical trigger short comings, 4 of mine have complete Apex triggers, and the remaining one has a stock Performance Center trigger, but with Apex guts.

    Justin truthfully you shoot much better with the M&P you had all 15 on the plate 1 handing it, where you missed over a1/3 of them with the CZ. Now I'm not dogging CZ because in all honesty I am a pretty serious CZ Fanboy I have owned probably close to 10 different CZ pistols over the years and have never had a single issue with any of them they were all 100% function and are extremely accurate out of the box with unrivaled ergonomics IMO.
    That said the M&P even the first gen with the trash trigger are very ergonomic shoot very flat with laser cut accuracy. I have not shot the P-10C yet so I cannot compare its performance with any of the poly-pistols I have shot to date. I will say this I have shot PPQ, TP9sf-Elite, Ruger Sec-9, SR9, Glocks of all calibers, CZ P-07/09 and a few FN's and they all have their strengths and weaknesses, however the best I have shot recently was the M&P 3.6 compact.
    The M&P 2.0 is a vast improvemnet over the first gen in a few areas. Ergonomically the removal of the beaver-tail was wise making it more IWB friendly, the grip texture is by far the best of them all on the market in my opinion, the refined trigger system OMG gen 1 and gen2.0 are light years apart, the hinged trigger still is not my favorite but even its contours have been smoothed so that it didn't bite my finger, the feed ramp on the 2.0 is much better as well being wider and tapered better, then last thing is how they redid the mag release section of the grip so that it isn't as encased with as much of a humped protrusion was wonderful I don't have to break my shooting grip to get to the release like I did on the gen 1.
    Most people probably don't consider the 2.0 as having all that much done to it but in my eyes it has been completely overhauled in all the areas needed to make it a Glock19 destroyer. I would not have mentioned any of this a month ago as I despised the gen 1 pistol to the point that I wouldn't look at a S&W M&P pistol due to the beaver-tail and worst trigger imagineable. A trip to my local shop to check out the P-10C a couple weeks ago changed my mind. There was a M&P 9 c 2.0 with thumbsafety in the display right next to the 380 EZ that caught my eye and with some coaxing and reassurance that the 2.0 trigger was vastly better the clerk got me to handle it and I'm glad he did because the 2.0 is way better than the M&P of old and I ordered it in 40cal this morning after talking to S&W directly to clarify some options.
    The CZ is too new for anyone to really say that it is better than the rest, but once there has been a few years worth of data collected, and some upgrades to design come about due to consumer feedback. I imagine it could be in the top 2 easily and that is just my going off every other CZ I have ever owned and shot. Only time will tell.

  • @SerenGetter
    @SerenGetter Před 6 lety +10

    I'd say the M&P, only because the CZ is about as big as the M&P compact with the 17 round mag. I wish it was more concealable, but only the M&P and G19 are in that 4.9-5 inch sweet spot.

    • @mikeross6043
      @mikeross6043 Před 6 lety +1

      SerenGetter you hit the nail on the head! Duplicating the size of the G19 makes the M&P the real winner here. This attribute made the G19 reign supreme until now, win for the 2.0!

      Agreed, the G19 and M&P are true compacts. The P10C,while nice, falls into that full size category that’s missing 2 rounds (i.e. VP9 and PPQ)
