- A cover of King's Theme, also known as Ring a Bell in its OST, from Tekken 2, released on the PS1 in 1996.
This track is featured on Tekken 2: Reclamation, a concept/tribute album that I have been working on since last year and will feature all of the Tekken 2 covers that I have worked on plus some new tracks which are yet to have videos of their own. Though not being skilled in playing as King, this is a cover in which I'm really pleased with the results.
The following is an excerpt from Tekkenpedia:
"King (キング Kingu) first appeared in Tekken and returned for Tekken 2. King was a masked wrestler who fights to help fund and support his orphanage. Armor King was King's friend and rival and he served as King's sub-boss in both Tekken and Tekken 2. After the second tournament, King was attacked and killed by Ogre. In Tekken 3 and onwards, a second King took his place, and is still present.
His title in the original trilogy is Beast Priest."

Just stumbled upon this video today and may I just say WOW, I was NOT expecting this. This sounds amazing. Even without being a Tekken 2 cover, this really stands on its own and even sounds like it's own thing while still retaining the classic feel of the original track. Videos like this you seldom come by on here, thank you for keeping the spirit of Tekken 2 alive. I should definitely check out your other videos. Seriously, fantastic work with this. Very underrated.

Funny that, these videos brightened my day too. I've listened to all your T2 covers on here and they all do sound great. Between this and Lei, I think this is probably your best one. The voice really adds to it and gives it that 'epic' sound. Tekken 2 is my favourite Tekken as well and the music still speaks to me all these years later. The more recent Tekken games are good too (I recently got T7) but they don't have the same charm as the earlier games especially music wise, but maybe there is some childhood bias there. Jun and Kunimitsu were always my two favourite characters but a Michelle Chang cover would probably sound really awesome too with that guitar. Quiet Interim Report was my favourite track from T2 but there is so many to chose from lol.

I did in fact do a Michelle Chang cover which is in an album I did back in February but I am intending to do a video of all the tracks from it.

Typing this during my fourth listening in a row. The intro, the build-up towards the end...All the voice-bits are giving this a certain grandness, ones mind gets absorbed into it. I´m really enjoying this one

It sure is ... Different, not in the bad side. It's a different vision of the song.
I will be honest on this point, normally I don't like when someone appropriates himself the song, because they do clumsy things with it and the results got wrong.
But it's totally different with you. You took the music, creates a totally different atmosphere from it, and then show to everyone else than a combat music can be different than ... just a combat stage, you tricked me and let me join you into your point of view.
You're original and I like it a lot, and your cover is clearly underated, good job.
I'm taking in your point about appropriating oneself into the song (If I've interpreted it correctly) and, yes, it can be a risky endeavor when transforming the song but imo it can give it a breath of fresh air in a best case scenario.
