I love the entire presentation. Robot voice is sick make me feel like I'm learning sound design from the future
You know what’s fun? Use repitch and add groove templates and fiddle with quantizeamounts / divisions while recording to another audio buffer :))) oops just gave away ninja secret
I love everything about the video including the robotic female presenter.
Truly genius sound design making a text to speech voice bearable to listen to
"incredible"
I never knew simpler was so capable, thank you
i would absolutely love more. i’ve been trying to find more about sound design on ableton and this may be my favorite video yet. subbed!
Super informational. I'll come back to hear that sultry robo-voice teach me new tricks any day of the week.
Dude idk how youtube read my mind, but this was the perfect video to do exactly what i needed to learn a breakcore style
Good video
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot! Instant subscription, hop =e to see more experimental techniques in the future!
Wow, really great tutorial!! Thanks for ideas and inspiration!
Channels like this really help me to save money I don't have by not buying plug-ins I won't use for tracks I'll never finish 😂
Fantastic! I hadn't really used Simpler up until a couple of months ago. Been getting some really sweet results, even without the granular stuff (mostly more "traditional" sampling combined with effects). Time for level 2 it looks like! Thanks for the video. Hope to see more; great style with the voice and all, good writing too!
I usually hate the robot voice but this one is perfectly used. Awesome tutorial thanks man
Hey,thank you for Show me these many Variations to play with a simpler.....thats a lot of fun in your Video
Amazing video. Amazing technology.
I can't believe I just found this. Awesome......Thanks!
My new favourite channel ❤
I think ive been looking for this video for a long time
Absolutely beautiful
Awesome tutorial! Thanks a lot!
Hey, thanks for the great tutorial! :)
Btw is it possible to map these parameters (grain size, flux etc) to midi controller? I'd like to adjust them in live set with hardware knobs but it seems to be impossible unfortunately
Great tutorial!
this is amazing.
hi friend, really thanx for this AMAZING tutorial. U rock! ...i happly share this immediately :)
That’s granular synthesis! nice 👍
Great tutorial thanks!
Brilliant!
like this one a lot
incredible!
Killer thanks! 👽
thanks thanks thanks. need input like that !!!
Yo dude if you're into the idea, you should put up some tutorials on your sound design techniques from your tracks/how you made certain things. I checked out your music from the link in the description and its fucking dope! Would love to get a glimpse of your workflow as I'm always looking to expand my knowledge. That track Diviner is wild! Good shit! Peace.
now this is how you make a badass tutorial
how are you implementing the voice synthesis vo into your editing process?
super useful toot..... great
Love it ....:)
Good video!
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend these days =)
@Kyler Jakob definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
Crazy!
Very awesome, thx!! A shame that grain size (and basically all granular parameters) can not be modulated or automated. Would make it a lot more powerful. Need to file a feature request! Feel free to second the motion by writing them as well ;)
agree 1000%. unfortunately those parameters would require a lot of CPU power to automate in real time (according to my friend who works at Ableton)
if u do a lot of sound design using Texture mode i would recommend downloading the Granulator M4L instrument, as the majority of its parameters are MIDI mappable
@@asd_asd_asd_asd thanks, I have it and its awesome :). I also plan to dig into some max for live stuff and see if I come up with something interesting. Might take a while though, it seems to be complex...
So is there no other workaround for this in live? Seems somewhat pointless if it can’t be modulated
awesome. what text to speech algorithm did you use? do you have a link?
it's just the default text-to-speech algorithm that comes with Apple computers/laptops. there are a bunch of voices to choose from
more tips and tutorials/techniques pls
@@asd_asd_asd_asd I don't know if you're still active anymore but, there are still people out there including myself who would love to see your beat repeat video!
cool af
Hey! Amazing video, I personally loved the tts voice :)
What's the name os the song at 17:35?
Thanks and keep up the good work!
thank you !!! and that's an old song i did, you can find it here on my old soundcloud soundcloud.com/nard_bardo/when-f-adessa-campbell
Gantz Graf is that you?
bad thing is cant automate or assign the grain size
COME BACK PLEASE
O go to a slice option and my sample doesnt sound
ily please come back
holy shit I hv never heard of these sounds, ever.
"can you hear that!"
we kno its u SOPHIE thx for a great tutorial tho
PERIOD! was thinking some of this is how SOPHIE could have done some of the vocal effects in Faceshopping
this literally sounds so much like SOPHIE I'm so shook. It MUST be one of the techniques she uses
Amazing, why can't I map things like grain size and flux out to my controller though :(
Is there a juicy hack out there??
unfortunately those parameters would require a lot of CPU power to automate in real time
if u do a lot of sound design using Texture mode i would recommend downloading the Granulator M4L instrument. its grain && flux parameters are MIDI mappable
ASD soy el número mil, que lo sepas. 😉
but we can't make sounds like that if we don't know how to make those impacts
je t'aime
This maybe better than granulator it’s self.....
very much
I'm having Squarepusher GO Plastic/DYKS flashbacks watching this
Holy fuck
Hi this is Flume.
Is it really necessary to use a robot voice for the tutorial? So annoying
what!? im loving the robot voice, actually was gonna ask how you did that?
i recorded one of Apple's text-to-speech voices and then added some fx to it in ableton !!
@@asd_asd_asd_asd Can you tell me what is the name of the Voice? Thanks in advance
Here in 2024. This channel makes sense. Such a great presentation for all the parameters of different modules while encouraging experimentation. Creators these days do a shitty job at it, 'this is this, this is that. Do this to sound like them!!' Such BS.
Much respect and love
