  • How to call a deer using a doe bleat. In this video, I teach you various ways to call in a deer using a doe or fawn bleat. You can call in a deer using the doe bleat and also a fawn bleat. I talk about different ways of doing this depending on the time of day but also the time of the season, because you may want to vary your approach depending on the time of the season.

    Well, Sean I have watched several of your videos and they are all interesting as well as educational to me. I bought a basic Sanlida Dragon X8 for less than $200 after knowing your favourable review as well as others. The space in my home allows me to shoot up to 75 feet only and after adjusting the sight and peep sight I was able to get good arrow groupings. I shall be shooting wild boars at my friend's fruit orchard soon. I'd like to own the BLACK MAMBA from APA but it cost 5 times the price of the Dragon X8 I can't afford it. Once again, thank you very much Sean and All The Best for bowhunting 2022. Regards.

    The little cans are magical. Have called in and killed several bucks using them.One was heading out of the area LEAVING. I hit the can and stopped him in the brush. Hit it again a few seconds later and he did a 180 degree turn and here he came. Practicing sounds with your voice is the best set up as it leaves your hands free and less clutter of things around your neck, in your pockets, etc.. Doe bleats and light grunts are great for stopping deer as they step into your shooting lane. They don't always stop at the first call so quickly follow with a second louder bleat if they don't stop.

    Years ago I was in a ground blind with my then wife and we were getting bored, so, as a joke I said"here deer" in a drawn-out vibrato voice with a similar tone to your vocal doe bleat sound. Within minutes a doe appeared. She was out of range of my recurve bow, but it was fun to see her come in. It might have been a coincidence, but I've always thought that she got off of her bed to investigate.

      Yes start with a bleat and see what happens. If it doesn’t respond try a grunt and see if you get a response. I did that last week and she came to within 50 yards from the bleat but then walked away. I grunted and she came to ten yards before I got her.

    I don't know if this will help me or not. A couple days ago I was cleaning out my grandmother's barn and me and her stumbled upon my grandfather's hunting supplies ( I grabbed a knife out of that same box a year or so ago never noticing the calls ) but I have one on my currently it's a Haydel's Game Call, it says DB-85 I'm assuming that means For Buck possibly 85 yards. The part that is stumping me is it just says deer bleet. I'm trying to learn how to use it ( I first thought it was a duck caller... What can I say I'm new to this ) but what I'm trying to get at is it the same as any bleet caller and how to use it because I just don't feel co didn't with it at all, I don't feel like it sounds like a deer too much and I'm sure the company is no longer around
    Anyways thank you for any advice and may God watch over you.

I used to hunt with a bow for years, always older ones that I would fix up but eventually sold them to pay the Bill's. Gods POWER AND AUTHORITY can only be seen by those of us who have eyes to see and ears to hear. To most of my FB friends and people in the community it is just a man made religion designed to inflict judgement, Power & authority but for those who's eyes have been opened our faith in knowing: through a personal relationship With The Almighty Saviour we see his power and authority over and in our lives everyday but only if we choose to look and listen. P.S. I'm going to try a vocal call as I have no modern technology with me today. I've seen a doe and two calf here recently, but I'm a firm believer in land management so I will wait for the Buck in this case. Thanks buddy and may God bless your Journey.

      Have you ever studied habitat management or ecosystems and how animal numbers need to be managed in order to preserve a healthy ecosystem? If this is not done, the habitat gets degraded by deer to the point species die off due to starvation. With proper management not only do we keep the whole ecosystem healthy, but we also reduce the number of car accidents due to hit deer and we also feed many families. I personally have donated several hundred pounds of high quality meat to hungry people over the past several years. How much have you done to foster healthy numbers of animals to preserve good living conditions for ALL God's creatures living in a given ecosystem? How many hundreds of pounds of meat have you donated to help feed the hungry?

    Don't kill the deer.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  Před 3 lety +2

      I'd suggest studying ecosystem management and learn what happens when deer herd numbers are not managed = deer destroy habitat through over browsing, other species of animals get pushed out of the environment due to habitat depletion, deer begin to die from starvation, and there is an increase in car accidents due to deer.
      What happens when deer are harvested by hunters? Families are fed, deer numbers are kept at sustainable numbers, habitats thrive and on and on. Conclusion, it's advisable that people, like those who make comments like yours, do their research and don't just make choices based on hurt feelings because doing so leads to negative results to the environment ...
