People forget and fail to realize that Allen Iverson is the God Father of a whole culture in sports. Allen Iverson used to get crucified in the media man..he was very polarizing.
It’s like the Wayne verse on god did …iverson birthed a lot of these dudes style he changed the culture
@@pedrogates3189 Facts, I have to get on my homie about disrespecting Iverson just because he gets caught up in the now. Everything starts somewhere, and Allen Iverson was that fuckin Dude! On and off the court! They changed rules because he broke all the rules. He made hip hop cool in basketball far more than anyone else ever did. He made guys stop wearing suits to games, he brought the tattoos, the whole swag of hip hop to the NBA
@@bambam6537 everything you just said is the truth he made rappers want to be ball players n ball players rap he was the culture at one point …bro his moms was braiding his hair during a fucking game n they did nothing because they couldn’t lmao
Allen Iverson was the most criticized NBA player of all time. Their dislike of him was simply an attack on black culture. From his braids to the clothing he chose to wear
Those same white people now will tell you they always loved him
Ask yourself who started pointing that out? That is how he got 'famous'.
Stupid A. Smith was right there to put AI on blast in the newspapers in Philadelphia; that got these mouth-breathers round here the greenlight to steady complain.
You can hear it from Screaming A. Smith's mouth; if people haven't seen Marberry's documentary, you should. He was so on his nuts in HS, its SCAREY 😳. As soon as he was on the Knicks; all he'd do was be on TV calling him trash and he'd partied too much.
Wanna go laugh, check out him hitting the mitts. You can't seriously listen to any SPORTS take ever.
@@noicemate9111 it wasn’t white people. It was also black people. And you seem to forget it was the WHITE KIDS who made Iverson rich. Millions of white kids love Iverson.
This is 💯percent accurate
@@noicemate9111 nah they’re not ready for that truth 💯
A.I. / BUBBA CHUCK is THEE reason why NBA culture outside of just playing the games is where it is now, from the chains to the shades to the clothes and MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE HAIR! he changed the look of the NBA from a player perspective, my favorite player of all time.
Facts
I support Allen Iverson to this day is one of the greatest athletes of all times ! -- whats wrong with parting enjoying yourself with friends and family ? Life can't be just work - their has to be balance -- we all have to lighten up and let people enjoy without criticisms ... the World will be a better place for all of us ...
What do you want to party or be kobe everyone is different tho
@@mizzyfit_334 everybody parties ... everybody ...
@@noelanthony1204 wrong. And you must be a kid. You don’t have to “party” to fully enjoy life and a big percentage of people don’t.
@@mizzyfit_334 Iverson worked harder than most, or have a HOF career and lead the league in scoring, playing 40 min a game...He wasn't going to be Kobe regardless. People have maxes they reach...
Buddy, this is basketball. When you exhibit a certain amount of skill, the pressure of ascending to the throne as the best player in the league & championshipS come with that. That's what you signed up for. If Allen had the same commitment to the game that he had for the trash friends who drained his bank account and then dipped when he was broke, he'd have played longer than at his peak of seven years. Look at Kobe, Jordan, Lebron workouts. It's cool. Some people come to work and "quiet quit" now and it's all supposed to be accepted by the public in large. But there's a contingency of us who don't subscribe to you "8hr" or less people/I'll do just enough to make it and then complain when rent goes up. Just like they out themselves in those situations with lack of work ethic or reaching a height of "I made it, now I'm good" lifestyles, Allen deserves any criticism he received. He's NOT the greatest all-time and it isn't close. Stop with these fraudulent statements. It's like saying fat people are beautiful but you wouldn't date one. STOP. Call a spade a spade.
AI brought swag and charisma to the league! He was the blueprint for today's Stars.
I keep telling people A.I changed the culture of the nba ..you see people wearing those arm sleeves those thin wristbands and the tattoos that’s all iverson ..n he didn’t wear the sleeve to make a fashion statement he was hurt trying to cover his elbow lol ..now look nba nfl and even some mlb players are wearing it ..a.I is the reason every rapper wants to be a ball player and every ball player tries to rap dude is a legend for right
@@nanagyambibi7426 I think you just want to be part of the conversation but you’re wrong
@@pedrogates3189 okay Pedro relax... every hopper wants to rap because that’s just what niggas like .. there’s no reason for it .. it’s how we are
@@lilshsjsj1904 yeah thank Ai for that
He wore the sleeve to cover a tattoo 🙄
As long as the other person is still alive, it's never too late for an apology. Big ups to Stephen A.
Big ups for what?
Let him do a personal apology if he's that serious.
Sometimes an apology can come waaaaay to late. I truly admired AI, he truly embodied the culture and tried to live free while giving his all to the game he loved.Peace and Blessings.
* too * FIXED
If they’re still living it’s not too late!
Love him or Hate him Stephen A is a GREAT Conversationalist
The way they treated Iverson is crazy from his fight at the bowling alley ,getting black balled & attending George Town to even be looked at him & the practice situation his attire & look they literally made him a stereotype of what they did not want but soon & behold the league is nothing but Iversons & the time he missed a practice I think one of his friends passed or something
Now instead of practice mfs is like “82 games” we talkin bout “82 games mann” I’ll play 50 something 😂😂😂
@@gspskeezy93 exactly he use to play like 65 games a season with broken bones etc ,but he missed one practice & was they blew it out of proportion.
@@johnnycage435 shit more that that he only messed more that 15-20 games twice when he was in his prime one year he played all 82 games and he had mad injuries lol
Definitely didn’t play at a HBCU tho lol
It takes a man to admit when he's wrong. Respect.
Foh... Clout.. the only reason he is here.. he got the bag..
Dude is still a clown
After 20 years, naw fuck that and fuck him.
Steven A Weasel will also be a weasel
@@nguont got that from that BAN Kwame?
There's Stephan Marbury that still wants to give him the Will Smith treatment, lol. It yielded quite the results for Chris Rock.
You would swear SAS was a player the way he talks about his “battles” w sports superstars 😂
That's his problem he's think he's on the athletes level
@@larrymoore3627 the players are the ones that says he is.
@@larrymoore3627 he’s more known than most players lol
I mean telling a grown man he can’t party is just insane
Not saying he “can’t” party but he “shouldn’t” be partying there’s a difference
@@lilmari6513 why shouldn’t he be partying that’s not for Stephen A to say AI made it to the NBA and hall of fame so I’d say partying didn’t hurt him

He needs to apologize to BYU for shaming them and a whole lot of young black athletes. ESPN BALL BOY
💯📌📌📌
Exactly 💯 right!!
Yall need to apologize to him for acting like he doesn't have the freedom to speak his mind. My ancestors died for that right and don't you ever forget that shit.
What about max kellerman Steven A.?
Stephen A took the easy way out with his responses. He and Iverson are already cool and his negative view(s) towards Robinson wasn't highly publicized as his views were towards K. Brown or K. Irving.
The little busty bust ain’t getting no apology. He not going to admit to that.
Or.. He didn't wanna apologize to them dudes..
Kwame proved he’s a lunatic. He went after everyone. After all that stuff last year I’d watch some of his rants. He’s crazy for real. He loved the negative attention. Then they eventually quit responding and he’s back just firing shots at random journalists and athletes
@@davidbarnes4742 he was quiet for 20 years. They came back so he's getting his 20years to fight back. Can't blame him for that. He might look crazy to but he one that went through it. He crazy enough to help his mother and still living his best life. Say what we want, none of us were in his shoes.
KWAME WAS A BUST AND PLAYED LIKE SH*T. He needs to get over that.
Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons deserve one too! You can voice your opinions without tearing someone down😡
Exactly right! The media criticize & Hate on black athletes. That's what SAS do all the time, he try to bring the black athletes down, for money & ratings & the higher up he is working for, if u get what I mean.
Ben Simmons girl bye 🤣
Simmons deserved every bit of it
Ben Simmons deserves criticism
@@kingvick7446 exactly tf is she talking about. That soft ass boy sat out more than kyrie
Facts and I had to deal with that daily as young Black man with braids. I was told I wouldn’t be nothing because had braids and dressed like a thug even though I was top student in high school and college. A.I. paved away for this new generation to not to conform to the norms of the establishment and SAS is part of the establishment.
A.I one of the goats just based off how he changed the culture of the nba and the impact he has on other players style
Iverson needed the apology more then anyone.
Nah… He owes a very big part of black culture an apology. This man slandered a lot of our son’s, nephews, cousins, father’s, brothers, homeboys characters all for a pay check… He should’ve known better. Too late 😑
Kwame Brown
@ he ain't gonna apologize to him i can GUARANTEED THAT 😆
@ Kwame needs an apology too, but Stephen and Kwame weren't as close as Iverson and Stephen. It's more personal with them.
@@curiouslymavismade Kwame don't need an apology, he needs rehab and therapy.
A.I. gave him a huge assist going on his show "Quite Frankly" back in the day. I remember that's one of the episodes that made people tune into him. But he disregarded that to rise up. He's talking about he felt Glenn Robinson got a brother fired but how many brothers has he affected with his words? And I'm not knocking a man if he is honestly trying to reconcile with his decisions, but if he truly has that stance then think about all the other players whose families might feel the same way when he disrespects and disparages them.
And I don't want to hear about he's an analyst and that's his job. First off you can be an analyst and critique certain components of the game and not get over into talking about someone with the vitriol he has. Jalen Rose and Chris Broussaurd are examples you can. And secondly just because you get a check to do something doesn't make it any less demeaning. So we shall see if this is a new version of S.A.S but quite frankly I don't believe it will be.
All 📠.
Facts brah I've been over Smith years ago
Faxxx
Bro my thing is this.. smh he seem like he go out his way to hold other brothas accountable. Him and now mostly all of espn blk men they followin his lead.
It’s almost like that’s how you keep yo job you gotta talk bad about yo own people that’s in the contract..
from Kyrie to Deshawn…
One show in particular. How he kept talkin about how kyrie didn’t show up cause of the riots on jan6.. Rather he was effected or not he pulled a boss move he worth that. He can say I ain’t goin in today..
This dude SAS sounded straight up like uncle ruckus
“ you gotta go to work”
Man it was almost like he was mad he has to work and Kyrie didn’t..
This the full circle.. when them white folks sittin up there they don’t do that to they players and people who look like them they don’t talk down on white superstars..
I seen it plenty times.. it’s a segment where they go around the table and kiss Aaron Rogers ass who Smokin dope in the off-season now then after that it’s time to talk bad about somebody black.. smh.. I would love for somebody to ask him wtf is up wit that shh..
Bro he made a whole slogan talkin about get off the weed ain’t said said shh about Aaron Rodgers doin dope in the off-season.. Trippin on jungle smoke bro.. how is that ok? He was Smokin shh that people have trips on..
Stephen A is unathletic and it's obvious he was bullied growing up not being the best athlete has him pissed to this day
This is good. I feel like a lot of athletes are happy being successful and out of the mud and not trying to be the best . A lot of criticism from analysts comes from a place of encouraging them to be better athletes for entertainment sakes when they are happy where they are.
Wow! This is big moves for i am athlete. Bring on this dude makes waves…
I love the question. That question should be a regular segment
Looking forward to this!😃👍🏼
Why doesn't he apologize to Kwame Brown?
I’m ready for this one!! Stephen A Smith I Am Athlete
Holy shit, can't believe y'all pulled this off. Can't wait for this.
Explain why you was at those high schools dissing a 17 year old...you got a plethora of apologies to make
I'm pissed. Stephen A could've been more influential if he wasn't into tearing cats down to carry his business how he did and still does to this day.
After watching College Football, I need this full interview ASAP!!!!!
This one is a banger you never disappoint your fans with great entertain keep up the good work
These Stephen A stories are becoming like the Jamie foxx stories. Very entertaining but we hear them tell the same stories every interview. Lol
If you watch all his interviews of course you're gonna hear the same thing lol
Bro how many stories should they have? They only have but one life so the stories are going to be the same from interview to interview. Unless you want them to make up stories lol
Because it’s a million ppl in the world besides you bro. It’s many ppl who probably didn’t hear this story till now.
You not lying lmaooo
@@txtitan20 Yea I’m not complaining but just noticed how much he tells the stories. I’m entertained every time.
Stephen A is exactly what's wrong with the sportscasters of today, they want to much of a personal connection with the players, and when they do not get that connection, they become bias against them. Decades later this is not an sincere apology, this is an Old court Jester realizing that he was the Joke the whole time, and all he is truly is concerned about at his Old age, is how he will be remembered Legacy.

💯
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn, u might be saying some real shit.
Stephen A should know as well as all in the media. Some people have ways of dealing with issues. Things get heavy so you got out with your woman or your brothers to unwind. In the military we do that all the time. Take your mind off of it. Step back and relax, then go back and handle the situation refreshed, oftentimes your perspective changes in a positive light.
At 6,0 was still a juggernaut. AI got me into basketball and I have no regrets..
A person that always has to apologize is a person that talks too much lmao. How many people has Stephen A Smith apologized too in the past three - five years lmao
How you gonna apologize to the man's son and not to him? Just give the man a call.
It ain’t that easy bro. Do you understand how uncomfortable of a conversation that would be after all these years? Cmon bro put yourself in their shoes.
