  • The question of what is the ultimate nature of God has been endlessly debated for millennia by all of the world's varied religions and philosophical systems. In this compelling talk, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya (one of the world's leading authorities on Vedic philosophy) offers us the most direct and authoritative explanation of the nature of God from the perspective of Vedanta.

    I find myself constantly coming back to this channel to rewatch each video numerous times.
    Each time I come back it seems there is a deeper understanding taking place of the information being discussed.
    I just want to thank you for putting this wisdom on CZcams...

    31:40 -33:05 : "What is that absolute Brahman? That being in whom the illusory energy does NOT stand. In other words, in comparison to Brahman, illusion does not exist. Not only can illusion not overtake that absolute in the face of that absolute, the illusion does not even exist. It has no being. THIS is worth knowing. This is worth knowing. This is worth experiencing. This is why we practice yoga." - Sri Acharyaji (This is my favorite part of the talk and the answer to why some things that I have been taught within certain communites about the nature of God did not sit well with me. They were illusion. Now I have the words to explain what I felt inside but could not express verbally. I am glad that I discovered your channel. )

    I was lost for very long time because of advaita vedanta which I couldn’t let go of trying to understand but it look to me what this man is saying is 100% more accurate than the advaita regarding god , thank you for helping me and if there is opportunity to speak about this topic in the near future

    Is that why he has avatars such as Krishna horus Jesus Shiva to come here and teach us this generally Annunaki but our body although temporal is the avatars of atman

    Im confused cause you said we are Consciousness but not God but earlier you said God is consciousness ?

    • @DharmaNation
      @DharmaNation  Před 4 lety +24

      The understanding is found in the following parallel syllogism: 1. We are human. 2 Donald is human. 3. That Donald and I are both human does not lead to the conclusion that I am Donald. Similarly, 1. I am consciousness. 2. God is also consciousness. 3. But it is in no manner a logically necessary conclusion to say that I am God.

    • @williamburts5495
      @williamburts5495 Před 3 lety +3

      Both you and God are consciousness but God is the source of all spiritual strength ( bala ) while you have no spiritual strength because if you did you wouldn't be under the control of maya. You derive spiritual strength from devotional service to God not by your own merit.

    If we are not god because we are in illusion then what are we? The experiencer of god?

    • @DharmaNation
      @DharmaNation  Před 5 lety +18

      We are eternal servants of God. It is our illusion alone that makes us believe otherwise.

    • @fabelisgod
      @fabelisgod Před 5 lety +1

      What exactly do you mean by eternal servant? Thank you so much for your reply. I love your videos and others like ram dass. I’m very interested in learning this religion.

    • @DharmaNation
      @DharmaNation  Před 5 lety +11

      To be an eternal servant of the Divine means to be in a continuous state of self-surrender to God in pure devotional consciousness. To achieve this state is the ultimate goal of the spiritual path of Yoga and Sanatana Dharma. This state can be achieved under the expert tutelage of a qualified guru. Sri Acharya is just such a qualified guru. We hope you will explore his teachings more in-depth. www.dharmacentral.com
