  • Time to try out the demo Leitwolf on our most awkward winch slope: Väggen. it is not as steep as earlier in the season, the snow conditions were very good, so it should be no trouble... hopefully...

I love your videos! I have experience in a piston bully and prinoth machines, probably 70/30 split on my hours in that regard. I really miss grooming and your videos take me back to how I felt at the end of my into grooming season, I went from mowin the grass to ripping edges and windrows grooming treeline to treeline. Ripping edges and pushing windrows are so satisfying!

It was worth the time. 😂 Good job, thanks!

The reason you can set the tiller to minus -173% is because it's an X-version. The function is only available on the x-versions of bison and leitwolf. It's for when you need to put the tiller on vertical surfaces in the snowpark. On normal leitwolfs the range is 0-100%, just like on pistenbully.
The problem with the blade lifting by itself is to do with the sensitivity on the joystick. When the cat is pointing up the hill the joystick falls back enough to lift the blade. It's a pain in the ass for sure. You can lower the sensitivity of the joystick to counter the problem a bit, but still annoying.

Ah ok, that makes sense, our bison x has the same deal with the tiller percentage. I haven’t asked the guy in the standard Leitwolf if it does the same but I’ll assume that’s what it is.
We did figure the blade problem was sensitivity. On the stick. It does the same thing when it’s parked, the blade pushes down by itself. It’s not our machine so we didn’t set anything on it, but the Leitwolf operator tried the machine and realised it was the sensitivity. I didn’t know any of that until a few days after I made the video.

@@pushnpow Spent the whole season in a new bison X in Åre snowpark. Never used the negative tiller settings that much though.
We have 2 of the new leitwolfs aswell. It's a nice machine that, but it sure would be nice if it had a different color in some regards;)

Would have been cool to see an inclinometer if applicable. That one pitch is so steep!

Depending how we build it it’s usually between 35-45 degrees.
