Honestly, I don't see him getting the death penalty. If the death penalty wasn't applied to Nicholas Cruz for killing 17 kids and injuring 17 more, the argument for Melly to get it becomes significantly harder.

Every judge and jury is different, and every defense is different 🤷♂️ idk if it’s that black and white. The Boston Marathon guy is on death row for what he did, same with the kid who shot up the black church. Same for a guy who “only” robbed a bank and killed 2 of the employees in South Carolina. Comparatively, I think what Melly’s accused of might be worse than the guy in SC. But I think there’s way more that goes into it than just the crime itself. The guy in Carolina could’ve shown no remorse and had no signs of prior mental issues, idk. Maybe Melly is remorseful and talks about his mental health, so jurors feel bad about giving him the death penalty. Maybe jurors thought the bomber was a psychopath, but the school sh ooter was just hurt soul, idk. We’ll just have to wait and see what they think about Melly 🤷♂️
