Terraria, But EVERY Whip Attacks At The Same Time...

- In this video I try beating Terraria using Whips only, however to make things even more interesting I installed a mod that allows me to attack using every single weapon stored inside my inventory. I'll be collecting every single whip in the game except I'll only be allowed one of each type. Duplicates will not count. Just how crazy will things get and will I be able to whip the living hell out of the final boss Moon Lord? Stay tuned to find out!

Finally, a summoner playthrough where the leather whip isn't just outright skipped because the Snapthorn is easier to get!
in this playthrough, he HAS to get the leather whip because he can't kill man-eaters and snatchers for vines (or hornets for stingers)
Oh... my dumbass was too stuck on the progression I waited days just to get the Zoologist to get the leather whip when I could've just gotten the Snapthorn.

Quick tip for whip users (and by extension, Summoners) all melee speed buffs (like from feral claws or Shadow Armor) also apply to whips!

also note that melee speed is inferior to normal damage, which buffs both your minions and whips, the best place to get attack speed is actually from other whips, so don't go around using feral claws or gloves in place of accessories that give some kind of overall damage
also ichor imbuing flask works too

The OmniWield mod has a setting that lets you blacklist certain items from being used automatically. So you can stop bones, grenades and such from being used while attacking with other weapons

There's actually an early hardmode summoner armor, which is the spider armor made from spider fangs dropped by the black recluse in the spider biome.
it's a go-to for me since the spider summon is pretty damn good for just how easy it is to get

bones are a throwable ranged weapon. The mod he uses applies for every weapon, hence which is why he was throwing it.

the whips being used like that makes me realize it's just a cat of ninetails whip. an ancient greco-roman era whip that was used for having 9 lashes instead of the typical 1 with bits of foreign material like glass and metal wound inside of the whip's lashes to inflame the wounds it made even more as well as being more punishing for the victim

Quick tip if you want: every time you enter hardmode, just bring the furnace and the anvil with you so that you won't be going back and forth in mining every tier of hm ores.

Not sure if it would work due to incompatibility or not but you should try this in Calamity with the CalExWhips mod. It adds a bunch of new whips to the progression all the way to SCal

How did this man enter the Jungle without armor and weapons and without being attacked by 20 jungle bats and man eaters?
Some notes about whips for those unaware:
1) All whips can attack multiple enemies, however lose damage successively on each additional enemy. The spinal tap mentions this as it has the lowest loss per enemy of all whips at 5%.
2) The attack speed bonuses from Snapthorn, Durendal, and Dark Harvest are different buffs and thus all stack (up to +62% assuming linear stacking), although its very hard to perform unless using this mod due to the buffs only lasting a few seconds.
3) Whips act somewhat like melee weapons, gaining buffs from attack speed increases and flasks as well as auto-swing bonuses and size increases from items like the mechanical gauntlet.

i think its so funny that the leather and vine whip when he first got them were striking in a 3 against 4 poly rythmn and then turned into a 2 against 3 when he fought skeletron
Fun fact: since melee speed affects whip speed, using melee armor increases your whip speed and gives huge defense. You were right to use melee armor
A good one for summons would be multiplying damage by 1.5 for every summon weapon in your inbentory

@@116yony Summoner is the class that is the least changed by this kind of mod (the equivalent would be to have infinite summons, but only one of each, which is basically something you get to emulate by the endgame). If you really want to see it you just need to do it yourself, play tmodloader with Cheat Sheet and increase your minion cap.

The reason why you're using Bones as a weapon is due to how Fargo's Omniwield works. In the config setting, you can set it so it does not use any consumable weapons. This way, the Bones (and by extension, Grenades, Shuriken, Knives, etc.) don't end up being used. Especially Grenades, since you can accidentally kill yourself this way.
You neeeed to do some ranged weapons of some sort, it’ll be so interesting

Fun fact: on daytime empress phase 2 you can just fly right past her ethereal lances instead of having to dogde them

You didnt lose the speed when switching from Obsidian to Adamantite.
Adamantite gives +20% melee speed. which is more than 15% from Obsidian.
