  • If you’re struggling to catch bass in late summer because the water is 90+ degrees, it’s not your fault. Bass are extremely sluggish but there is one sneaky bait they will always bite, the drop shot. Specifically a 6inch robo worm with a 3/16 oz cylinder weight, size 2 hook is key to downgrade a little bit in size for those more finicky bites.
    If you’re struggling to catch them this time of year, it’s also because you’re fishing the same old shaky head or jig everyone else in the lake is fishing. Switching up baits and going as finesse as possible with 8lb fluorocarbon is key to your next fishing trip success.
