It’s good to know people really care how we build our products, Cort thanks everybody for buying our products and making us grow. It wouldn’t be possible to us without you guys, keep rocking!
how does this have no likes u guys rock
I liked tho
Send me a free guitar
that's why gibsons are so expensive
You guys rock! But please bring back Mirage series!!! ::)
I feel very satisfied when I see people fabricating, finishing and assembling a quality product. I really like this video.
The guitars are high quality but sometimes there can be some minor problems. But usually a good guitar repairman should be able to fix it. After that, they are basically perfect
I have 2 Cort electrics and they are awesome instruments. Precision made and sound great.
This is Indonesian Proud. I proud using Cort VX2X... I Love Indonesia
Cort produces many of the guitars we see and play that does not contain the brand name Cort on them. Any Squiers you see that the serial number starts with "IC", that's Indonesian Cort. Most of the guitars we see than are made in Indonesia were made by Cort. World Music, Cort, and Samick produce almost all the overseas guitars we see in the states.
I do not know Music World. Cort = excellent. Samick = excellent.
Randy Woolum I have one squires made in Indonesia.
They make the PRS SE
Craigl Lacour64 * my se custom is AAA !
Are Ibanez RG Made in Indonesia also produced by Cort?
I played a Cort bass today. I don't see them around, so it was neat to come across one and try it out. Interesting to see how they make them. Kudos to all the workers.
I recently bought a Greco Les Paul that was built by Cor-Tek in the late 80's or early 90's. I tell you what, for a guitar that's around 30 years old (or any age for that matter) it's absolutely amazing! Well done guys!
I got a Cort electric with EMG's many years ago, it easily out plays and easily out sounds my Lez P. I love how it's reliability in every way has outlasted all my previous big name guitars, it has classic beauty too. I'm afraid to admit, Cort named guitars are the way to go for me.
the true is.. the best wood in in Indonesia.. so many great custom guitar came from Indonesia.. proud of it.
why most of indonesians are overproud?

Cort and Samick have always made professional quality crafted guitars
I ordered cort cr300 today, after watching it i can say that I will be a proud owner of the skilled work done by you guys
I own 9 guitars, all quite different, my favorite will always be my Cort KX1Q. Red quilted maple top, mahogany neck and body set neck, EMG passive pickups w/ coil tap. By far the most versatile guitar I own as well. Thank you Indonesia!!
I'm proud to be part of the cort, although only 8 years from there I know a lot of guitar with good quality
Hi!. Why the model Aero 11 is out of production?.
@@valeroharold I don't know maybe there won't be any more orders there

What other guitars were made there besides Ibanez?

Hey Robi, do you know about the Cort GLTD16?
I am a proud user of a Cort Kx5 FR model. It is one of the best guitars that i have ever played!
Agreed 💯 percent
Very interesting. I was thinking to purchase a Cort Guitar from the local pawn shop for My Son. Now I believe I shall indeed. 🤘
Cort has always put out top professional quality crafted guitars whether its their own or building for other brand's
I have three COR TEk basses Fender, Conklin and a Brian Moore i4.. all are killer instruments.
I have a cort G210FT and it's a good guitar, very nice and real good sounding even with the factory mics...very comfortable too. I love it
This was way more hands on than I expected. I know I have played models built by Cort, just yet to buy a Cort itself. That will probably change in the future. Some of the best Basses I have played came from Indonesia
Thumbs up for all the hard work being done in this vid.
I have a squier affinity from Cort Indonesia. It is solid! The people that this passed through knew what they were doing and took they're time doing it. Iv played and held all the big companies guitar model's over thirty years of playing and meeting other players. And my squier affinity Stratocaster from this place is breathtaking! I love it. It get the spot in my one case and the others are just sitting on stands. I know alot of people bust your balls over whatever but you guys make some amazing guitars. Phillip McKnight and toneking just interviewed a custom shop master builder and asked him if he had to buy a squier Wich would he buy. There's like ten on the wall ,they grab 4 and dude picks the affinity and can't believe how good it is. Afterwards when asked what makes custom shop so great and he was loss for words because of how much he just praised corts work. Go watch the videos for yourself. Il take my Cort Indonesia squiers over the mim and usa. Now this only applys to the Indonesia aspect. There are squiers that are built in China mostly the bullet model. But the high-end squier is here. Check out the squier classic vibe guitars, those are amazing!
I read most of the comments, and, you know..can't please everybody, but I have 3 Corts and they are terrific considering the low cost of each, and my Matt Murphy model is a wonderful axe in looks and playability. GO CORT!
I have a Yamaha Pacifica 611 hfm made in Indonesia, probably cort factory. It's one of the best playing and has an addictive tone.
just bought my third Cort yesterday, love them ;)
Beautiful! I’d love to visit the factory one day.
I have played corts from the early 70's and really think they are built quite well. I imagine the newer ones are cheaply built like every other modern product is, but the old ones make an awesome instrument to own.
Yo tengo una viva custom no soy un experto pero me encanta!!! Adoro mi instrumento!!!! En general sin hablar de marcas la música y específicamente la guitarra es lo mejor que me ha pasado en la vida!!!
Got a Cort g290 fat a couple of months ago and it is beautiful! Thanks Cort factory people. 🙂
I own a cort M600 and i will tell you i would gladly be a spokes person for the quality and care you take in the process of building fine guitars. Its no wonder Paul Reed Smith decided to partner with you. Thank you !! ive enjoyed my Cort for many years.
I have 3 guitars of this brand cort and apart from their nice finish, they sound pretty good! 👌🏻🎸
For my 21st bday, I received a gift -- and that gift today is still my favorite guitar, out of everything that I currently own, and probably always will be. It was a Fender Tele FlameTop Special -- I didn't know this at the time, but this guitar was made by Cort -- NOT Fender. Yes, it says Fender on the headstock -- but Cort made it. Fender just inspected it and slapped their name on it. This model (FMT Tele) is actually so popular, that over 10 years later, Fender still has it in their catalog, and Cort is still making it! It's a Tele, with a set neck, perfectly smooth and sculpted neck joint so no problems accessing upper frets, and it also has a Flame Maple Top! I'm not sure if it's a veneer top or a cap -- to me it really doesn't matter, but it looks amazing and it FEELS amazing as well -- it's carved very slightly -- not like a Les Paul type carve, but it's still a figured / carved top as to the height of the top is higher where the bridge is and it bevels off around the edges. This guitar also came with a very awesome 15.75" radius on the entire fretboard, and two Seymour Duncan hum buckers with a coil-tap push/pull on the Tone Knob. More than 10 years later, I still play this guitar every day. It needs some work, that's for sure -- the frets are dented to all hell, it needs a re-fret -- I need to have stainless steel frets put on there basically, but that's it. Everything else is perfectly fine. The most important point though is that this guitar cost just under 500 dollars back then, and I believe the cost is still somewhere around there today on this same model -- It's unreal the kind of quality you can get on a guitar without spending a fortune. Cort FTW! I should mention though, that my guitar was made by Cort in Korea -- not Indonesia. I don't know what the difference is, but I don't think they have a Korean factory anymore.
+surgeyX They had a lot of complaining employees in Korea so they do most business in Indonesia now where the employees actually appreciate have a steady job.
+surgeyX if u have jumbo frets u can just take an iron file and file till the dents disapear, then do it on the frets that werent so dented so they become the same height as thye ones u filed. then use the file to round them a bit, also put some duck tape between the frets so u do scratch the wood.
did this to my cort x-custom yesterday and its as if it where brand new!
+Explore&ShootTV Nah that won't work the frets were jumbo when I got it, they've been worn down some bad...even the ones that aren't dented need to be crowned...would just be easier to replace them all with stainless steel.
surgeyX about replacing i cant help. never done that. Mine are really cool now, even better than when it was new, as they were too roundy, now they are more rectangular shaped, nicer feel
So instead of paying a fair wage they move their factory somewhere else? That's kinda shitty.
I have never seen of or heard of a "Cort" guitar and I've been playing guitar forever and visit guitar places all the time.
this images and soul to squeeze from ambientation are great!
I thing this is made in indonesia,,im indonesian and i proud of my country be the manufacturer of the best guitar,,!!!!
have you ever tried a korean made cort ?
very good for the money
I LOVE my Indonesian made Jackson's. Far superior in build quality and price to ANYTHING made here in 'Murica
asshole it's made in Indonesia because of cheap labour
only thing matters is made in japan
I love how guitars are built
I have a old hammertone Cort X-custom, it's the only guitar I didnt sell. I bought it off a kid who didnt like the floyd rose, his dad gave it to me for half the price. Absolutely love my Cort. ✌
The most perfect guitars I play are Cort guitars. I think that now, the know-how of this brand goes beyond Western brands. Cort has gained experience that others do not have. I have a lot of fun playing on these guitars.
hi ....i'm the dude at the end that just shreds all day .
I like my job.
Michael Seymour how do you get into that position?
you lie, the guitar factory is in East Java Indonesia, he is Indonesian.
Hi Mike, I bought a HH Electric and it's a FINE one! Thanks
Whoever inspected my bullet is named Rio. This thing is intonated perfect. Eko did that. Thanks man.
Rio?
They make a really good quality guitars at a reasonable price. Their stock pickups are amazing unlike Ibanez's for example . And if you don't have a big moneybag Cort guitars are a perfect choice . I bought a Cort X 6 VPR as my first guitar and I have been very happy with it . After that i bought an Ibanez RG Premium and surprisingly the difference was not huge so I would deffenitely reccomend Cort guitars
I have a Cort built Squier Showmaster HSS guitar and it plays lovely! Good quality build too!
Just watched Darryl Braun review a Cort on his CZcams channel. Very nice quality, and sound.
Maybe,,the best job is being a guitar Tester ,,hahaha :D
I was thinking the same, it must be awesome haha
Pandu Dewanta And if you can't play, you will learn for sure.
Considering how many guitars you have to test per hour I think the job would suck balls. At the end of the day it would probably be no better or worse than any other factory job.

My first new Electric guitar was a Cort strat type model. Was 14 or so and I got it for christmas from my parents, who thought I was just going thru a "Phase", so it wasn't high dollar...
Now, I have a real Fender Strat, a Guild accoustic, a Yamaha 12 string and a Squirer bass.
But still...
I miss that guitar.
this is good,,
like indonesian music..
Mandai production dangdut ruless! also Indonesian Death Metal🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I have no taboo over Indonesian guitars anymore. The craftsmanship here is just as good as America or Japan.
My Jackson SLX was built in Indonesia...so was my Ibanez RG5EX1. I like the RG5EX1 a lot...but the Jackson SLX neck through body is unreal.
*cough* it's definitely better than American Gibson
@@claire6650 Why? Is made in America Gibson is bad?
I agree. There can be some minor problems but they can be fixed by a good repair man. After that the guitars are just as good as what pros use.
i love their neck setting
Kx1q charcoal grey with EMG HZ pickups... Just love it.
Отличные гитары! Я обожаю фирму Cort, особенно серию XCort!!! =)
Most popular brand guitars between $300-$700 U.S. dollars of Korean or Indonesian origin were most likely made by Cort. They are subcontracted by Ibanez, Fender (Squier and DeArmond), B.C. Rich, ESP (LTD), and Kramer (pre Gibson ownership, not sure about now). To the "Cort sucks" crowd: Chances are you own one of their guitars and don't even know it.
Cort makes great guitars for a lot of other companies at their Cor-Tek factories but I particularly love the Cort Branded guitars.
We love Cort Guitars at Turkey. I had a lot of samples of them but my all times favorite Cort guitar was a 2004 x custom. I really want to try unique Turkish Edition one day, i am very curious about that masterpiece. We love you guys, greetings.
Every Indonesian guitar I've had has been brilliant. Whatever it says on the headstock I presume they were made by Cort. I think I will try one of their own brand.....
Andrew Butcher
Hi, Andrew. I recently purchased a Cort artisan4 custom z bass, and love it.. I went thru about 6 basses in a 2 year timespan, and nothing felt right until the cort. It is neck-thru, high end bartolini's, zebrawood top amd back on mahogony, rosewood board, well dressed frets, and one thing we all appreciate on a active guitar is that it has a simple clip opening to replace the battery- none of that little screws bullshit!
Brad Daniels That's great to hear Brad. I was very tempted to buy a Cort "Les Paul" recently but tried a PRS Bernie Marsden and went for that as it sounded really nice. Better than Gibsons I've tried at significantly more money. Every time I pick up my Epiphone Indonesian acoustics though I still find it hard to believe how good they are for the money.
Andrew Butcher hey, andrew. Have you tried a schecter? My brothers play them, and they sound great for the money. Input jacks suck though.
I use a Schecter Demon-6 solely for jazz, since it has an intrinsic dark/mellow tone. Excellent neck, one of the best I've experienced. The guitar came absolutely perfectly set up, right down to perfect intonation on each string. A lot of people take them for granted and chalk them off to a guitar for metal heads, but a guitar is a guitar, and in the right hands it can be shaped as an artist wills it.
And you will have blood on your hands. Congrat to you and your 16 likers.
1 million guitars a year? Didn't know that many guitars could be sold consistently enough to warrant such a high production output.
Other guitar companies produce big guitar models such as ibanize Jems and les Paul's for gibson and ibanize so when they say they produce 1 million guitars per year expect half of that to be other guitar companies. It's not that uncommon.
It said they have the capacity, not that they were cranking out 1 mil guitars annually.
Most guitarist have 3-5 guitars in their home.
@@Noeman2009 Most guitarists quit after a day ... but the guitars remain sold.
Cort been around for a long time I remember them in the 70s
I have a Cort Arena candy apple red (Matthias Jabs edition) and I absolutely love this guitar
Mine from Indonesia are amazing as well can't say enough good things about it
"Finally, a highly trained member of the court team inspects each fret to ensure it is fully seated, and fine-tunes as needed with hand hammering."
That poor guy got stuck with banging on the frets all day.
Lolz, roflmao...that is hilarious...
Did you hear the song he wrote. The lyrics go “I don’t want to work I want to bang on the frets all day”
This is the glamorous side of it. A lot of people work very long hours in Asia to put high quality, low price instruments in the grubby hands of fat western kids that have no idea what a days work is. These workers are the real guitar heroes.
The west was the sweatshop of the world for a century.
Agreed 💯 percent.
Such a satisfying video.
So my own guitar was made like this. Really cool.
I swear to god if the says "highly trained" one more time...
+Wattstone I suppose the narrator could use a different word, I was watching the part where the guy is painting the edge, That is not an easy thing to get right. So in many cases the employees are trained to do a Very difficult task.
Not a fan of hearing facts?
The announcer was highly trained to say highly trained several times

"FACTORY FACTS!!!"
The corts at the local mom n pops had the sharpest most unfinished fret ends I have ever felt. Surprising as my old school corts I used to own were very good.
I have an Ibanez RGRT421 that was made there in 2018. No complaints at all. Gives me confidence to look at Cort products as opposed to the "BIG" brands.
Some people will find anything to complain about. People need to realize that not everyone gets paid American minimum wage across the world. Their cost of living is of course going to be different especially in Asia. I have been to several Asian countries and seen the poorest and broken down places. Most people are happy to even have jobs to support their families. Just because they don't live in nice big houses like we do doesn't mean they don't get paid according to the work they do. Many people see these giant companies as a blessing because they offer so many jobs to people who need it. So instead of demonizing Cort and other similar companies, people should instead take the time to be educated or even take the time to visit one of these countries to have a reality check.
Its not that they get a minimum salory, they are treated horribly. Former workers say that if the fall and hurt them self the company cares more about the guitar not being damage. Their is a video about this
@@andreasfreykoudouridis6398 - Cort laided off about 40 employees who set about trying to destroy the Cort name. They spread many false statements, organized rallies and had mini concerts to push their agenda. In the end their court case was thrown out and they were told to stop making false claims about Cort.
@@flyingdutchman6984 Being factory owners.............. would have done the same Im sorry to say!!
When people complain about how poorly workers are paid in the third world, they don't seem to understand that low pay is better than no pay. And by third-world standards, the salaries these workers get is not bad, thousands of people in Indonesia and other countries would give their left arm for one of these jobs.
We cannot forget that it wasn't so long ago that manufacturing wages were low. My grandfather was working in a factory at the age of 8, getting 10 cents per hour to bring home to his parents. Factories hired kids because they worked cheap, and were small; you could fit more machines in a factory where kids worked. My great-grandparents had 12 kids, the younger ones worked in a factory as soon as they were old enough, and when they got bigger and stronger, they worked on the family farm. It sounds harsh, but the family was prosperous, everyone was well-fed and dressed well, and the money earned allowed them to expand their farm.
JP Guthrie correct. In a county where one can get by on less than $10 US a week, $400 a month is a good wage.
I wonder why Indonesia? Is it because of wood source? I have a Samick, made there, pretty good finish and detail.
Lol, surprisingly @8:14 looks like my Samick model, just different color and contour. This whole process and final product looks pretty decent- why Indonesian made still sell so cheap?
+onzkicg this is how any industry works.. availability of raw materials, cost of labour n many other factors. Wood is available in Alaska also.. 😉
onzkicg exotic pacific Asian wood.
Wood in Alaska, but labor costs too high. Indonesia has exotic woods and labor cost not too high (yet).
Simple: Cheap labour

Cort very good process. for each guitar made, plant a tree.
Is that true?
Among all the guitar brands Cort uses lot of technology and efforts and skills on making guitar
Very interesting video! Thanks!
They utilise a perfect blend of old school harsh labour environment and minimal wages. A nice video but wonder if the workers had to give the new gloves, shirts and masks at the end of shooting?
Notice how they were using power tools etc... with no basic eye protection .
And it was funny how the gloves were so clean and new like they hadn't been used before.
The working conditions at Cort are horrendous. One quick youtube search shows that.

And they're awesome and built like tanks with a amazing finish and solid parts. I love my squier electric's! How you feel about yours?
Thank you.It's very impressive.
woohoouu , this is my county , INDONESIA :D
While watching this video you have to wonder how those guitars can be so relatively cheap after all the work that has been done by hand. Poor workers, I wonder how much they get paid.
They are paid for about 200USD /month .. in 2014
actually its not that bad for the cost of life in indonesia
They are paid above minimum wage and they don't need two work double or triple job to survive.
When you say how much work is done by hand, have you ever made a guitar. They do very little by hand, and they pay their workers enough there to keep them coming to work.
I worked in several factories in the united states when I was in college, and only one had better working conditions than what we see in this video. Another was even, and in the third, I ingested enough tile dust and hearing loss to last a lifetime. When inspectors came to test air quality, they didn't do the operations that filled our lungs with dust, or wetted down any of the areas that were dusty. I left there every day looking like a chalk miner.
