- Alphabet build challenge round 10! I’m doing a build challenge where I build a shell of every letter of the alphabet and try to determine which letter makes for the best home floorplan! In this video I’m building the letter J and turning it into a Japandi style 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom home for a Sim who loves a relaxing Zen environment! I hope you enjoy this style of video and please let me know what theme I should do next!

For K please do Kawaii. After the beige tones of J, I think we need a pop of pastel colours. You could really go Y2K here as well.
Edit: Actually no, better idea. Leave Y2K for the letter Y. Brilliant.
I think K for kpop would be more fun, since kpop can be Kawaii too

The only style I could think of for K was KnickNack. Basically a home with lots of mismatched furniture & collectables on the wall. Basically a cluttered home with lots of clutter, collectibles and that it's quite old fashioned. I remember my grandma's home was quite a KnickNack home - mismatched furniture and rugs, different chairs to sit on, full walls of pictures, shelves of thimbles, vases, and ornaments. With the sims you could do shelves of the gems, fossils, etc.

The entryway in Japanese homes is always lowered down. It’s called a genkan.
And seperated toilet and shower rooms.. I don't know what that's called in Japan. But it is also a Dutch thing and I think it's common sense. Clearly in a lot of countries people view this differently. I see many builders online confidentally build their bathrooms with a toilet, a shower ánd a place to brush your teeth😳
I mentioned both of these things also lol. She missed a great opportunity and missed it
@@Caro2Latemost low income or just western homes in general have all in one room. Japanese bathrooms are also designed as wet rooms because the shower is normally outside of the tub, or at least it uses to be. When I was a preteen I was obsessed with Japan and I never got why we in America didn't do most things their way because it seems so much more convenient... Like a sink on the toilet tank!
@@nicolereadstarot Yes! Exactly. Whenever someone sees that sink on the toilet they say it's genius. Why no one has introduced this here yet, or where you live, baffles me. I mean, especially the people who are payed to design toilets must know they exist if I know they exist, right?! And I have had many obsessions and Japan was never one of them 😂 That says something if you ask me.
I think Kawaii is really common for K. If you wanted to do something different kidcore would be really fun. I also think it’d be easier to do a kidcore build with the diagonal walls. Kitsch would also be really cool and it would probably give you a little more freedom with the diagonal walls. Kitsch also isn’t done very often which is great

Usually you would have a genkan, it’s is similar to an entry way. It is typically lower than the rest of the house. It is a place to take of shoes because you always take off you’re shoes before going into the rest of the house but you never step in the lowered area if you don’t have shoes on.
K for Kitchen theme? Make sense?
Sims is a baker. She have her own online bakery shop and CZcams channel. The long stretch from the K can be the kitchen. So it is a place where she flims and takes order. So there is like a office kitchen kind of thing.
The diagonal corner of the K can be make into like a cafe inspired dining place where sims can invite her friends over to enjoy her new bakes ♡
This series has encouraged me to research so many different design styles! I’m really inspired by how you can put things together so well.
I would've switched the bedroom and dining room/kitchen
K could be Kawaii, Kidcore or Knightcore
Kawaii or kidcore sounds so fun!

For L you could do Luxury, and for M I say maximalist, midcentury modern, mermaidcore, Mediterranean, or Moroccan!

K for kitschy please! Kawaii and Kidcore are kind of overdone. The Japandi space turned out lovely.

K for kidcore! Very inspired by old kids tv, especially the live action mixed with animation/costumes :) very bubbly and colourful!
I really loved the division, I would change the laundry room and the desk, I think the laundry room will be more natural near the kitchen and the office more natural near the living room and bedroom

Love this series and your videos!! I would love K to be for kidcore! its an aesthetic I personally really love and I think all the color and playfulness of it and it can be refreshing after the toned down style of japandi
I also love the idea of kawaii using the pop kit. Perhaps for 'L' you could make a lodge/lakehouse/log cabin? Perhaps with a fisherman theme? ❤️

My favourite style is Japandi but I feel you leaned more to the Japanese idea for J . But still you have really impressed me I'm blown away but for I I was thinking kawaii!!!

This is so awesome, a while ago I tried to make a modern Japanese mansion and was really struggling to find inspiration pictures. This video helped me learn the name of the aesthetic I was trying to go for and also gave me some ideas for if I ever try again. My only suggestions for the build are I would have loved to see a meditation pillow outside near the pond, and maybe a flower arranging table out there too.
This is one of my FAVORITE styles and my name starts with a ‘J ‘ 🙌🏽❤️

I really like this J shaped home, turned out really nice. I downloaded the letter D home for dark acadamia 🙂 I never knew those lovely candles could float. I have only ever been able to place them on the ground.
I'm absolutely in love with this challenge! Your houses are so beautiful and stylish. And I'm also learning new decorating styles to test in my buildings.

Loving these, I think K for Kawaii may be easy/expected especially with the pastel pop kit. Also you just did a Japanese theme 😅 I was thinking maybe K for Korean although it may be difficult since there aren’t any packs that center around Korean architecture. It’s just a thought! Or you could do something inspired by a build in a Korean film or drama 😊 Either way I am loving these videos❤

I'm gonna agree with most people and suggest Kawaii for K. The Sims has so many randomly cute swatches that would work and it might help you lean in to the weird shape of the k!
If you'd like a break from this but not entirely, I thought you could try to stack letters together then try to make a cohesive apartment block? Or maybe group them as a little village with landscaping?
(I'm doing the shells and hope to do this at the end!)

You could do kidcore (bright colours, childish, and retroish!) It fits into the dreamcore style!
You should do K for Kpop! I think it would be fun and new tbh, idk if there’s anything in the sims that relates to kpop but that’s the first thing I think about when I see the word K 😂

My only suggestion is for the build tour at the end to do a walk-through from the ground, like from a sims eyes pov. Where you walk through the front entrance and then tour the build. Like a virtual house tour

I like this, I like watching the sims build vids you do, and every time is just another style. Which is neat that the same game, and same furniture, can give different styles.
I have no knowledge about this style, never heard of it before your last video, so was excited to see if you went with that or not.
Idk, this is me, but i feel like the black is just a harsh color to put up against some calm wooden tones, but if that's the style, that's the style! And one could argue, that you as the creator is putting in some of your style, and so be it!
Also you are reading my mind, I often look at this letter builds of your, like the D with the space in the middle, and thinking "She could add a cute little garden in there, or something.
And I was thinking the same with the J, like some outdoor space, and than you did it!

Yea I would have made the bathroom the behind the bedroom so it would be the end of the J bedroom would come out which would make the hallway a full rectangle. The kitchen, dining would stay there and share the mini living space. And the entry can stay the same. But I love these ash they’re really cute

Usually, a Japanese or Japandi entryway would be lower than the rest of the house, and without a carpet for easy sweeping.
