The boards are actually pretty easily to break. The kick needs to be precise to focus the force of it and you need to aim beyond the board to break through it, but you don’t need a lot of force.

At least put a link to the video

Forget an 8th, I could not do a 20th of that. I broke my ankle stepping off a curb. I could not even imagine what would happen to my body if I were to try anything even close to that.

If you broke your ankle stepping off a curb _on purpose & on-camera,_ and then said _"TA-DA!",_ once you were done, it'd be at least moderately awesome.

trust me it was not really a "TA-DA" moment. i stepped onto the pavement and my foot did this www.bonedisease.info/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Type-of-broken-ankle-2.jpg the only amazing part about it was that it happened on 4/20 on my way to class lol.

      Wow. Gross (yet oddly fascinating).
Were you partaking in 4/20's celebratory samples?
      Healed now though, right?
Got temporary screws and what-not to aid in your recovery??
      How long before full recovery?

    • @bmarti7998
      @bmarti7998 Před 6 lety +2

not on that day no lol.
it happened 2 years ago so it's fine now.
i chose not to do surgery and let it heal in the cast naturally. The doctor said it healed up perfectly so apparently i didn't need it. i retained my full range of motion and everything.
i had a hard cast on it for about a month and it took about 6 months for me to go back to normal.
during the recovery, stairs were too hard and I couldn't walk very long distances without getting tired.

Brett... knowing how to spin a basketball on your finger is not the same as being a trained martial artist

Oh Brett, you can build yourself up gradually.
Yeah, it helps if you start young (but some who do also quit young) but building up your body gradually is possible. You're still a young man.
Just pick something you like to improve the odds that you'll keep doing it. (Salsa dancing? Yoga? Martial arts? Swimming? Speed walking??)
And John: Get back into martial arts!
Then when you & Brett are both at peak functioning, combative capacity, you can battle each other on CZcams in a cage!
    Think of the views!!!

It's just what Taekowndo looks like... They like their spin kicks and breaking boards. Occasionally, someone with that skill will decide that he likes kicking heads more and try it in the UFC like Yair Rodriguez.
