  • Guinea's transitional president, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, gave an interview to FRANCE 24 from the capital, Conakry. Doumbouya seized power following a coup d'état on September 5, which ousted Alpha Condé, who had been president for 11 years.

      @@user-kc5kv3ou2t Idi Amin served in the British army and also trained in the Isreal army. In fact they even helped him to take power thinking he would be their puppet but he made a complete U turn he became president. He became Britain's biggest enemy in Africa and they again led the fight to overthrow him. Therefore I think this one also can be different even though he trained in France.

    This man displays a high level of moral integrity. He needs to understand that the enemy of African progress is watching closely.     I expected some very erratic man with a military-centric message. This man comes out as understanding how things work. Very composed and outlines issues in a way even an outsider can get a feeling of where he wants his lovely country to be. He exhibits better morals than even presidents. I was sad when he overthrew the regime but this looks like Guinea is on a better path. I HOPE things work out for my fellow Africans.

The military took power and it does look like they will help return the country to a proper civilian rule with term limits.

      Wrong. Africa has a lot of educated people. The most unfortunate part of the educated lot is the type of education they acquired. Education must be African oriented but not the current Mzungu education which has made a Blackman all over the world to serve the Mzungu system through neocolonialism and master savior capitalistic setup. Afrikans must use Kiswahili as a language of instruction and incorporate their own history, culture and aspirations in the school curriculum. Teach black history and languages in their school system. The lies of Christopher Columbus discovery of the Americas when the American Indians were already living their must be corrected.
